Even before covid, This store is always out of stock of half the items I needed. The grocery side is very poorly stocked BECAUSE nothing is in the right spot, so the shelf looks full but its not the item dont match the label. Example, its 20 facings of the same flavor of kool-aid, no matter what the label says or all no salt added green beans, no matter what the label says. And none of the employees seem to care. The female employees roll their eyes at you when you ask for help because you are interrupting Gossip Time.

WAY before there was a pandemic I always found this store not stocked well at all. Also dont get to liking a product too much because they will discontinue it. I dont like to be negative but the Valley location of Wal Mart brings it out in me. 😭

The delivery service is the worst. I have received another persons order three times. Twice I received no order. They were delivered to unknown locations. The store refuses to answer the phone so you cannot report a problem. I called for 2 and a half hours, non stop, on two phones and never got an answer. I had to call Arkansas to speak to someone about my order.

I found what I needed in a timely fashion. The store assistant was very helpful. And the assistant in the self check out was friendly and courteous. The friendly assistant at the door checking bags and receipts was delightful and graceful. They gave a a good spirit to start my day and week off that Sunday morning.

Went to pick up money at money center. Professional and fast service. A very nice Walmart . My first time in there.

I am once an employee here and they told me i can’t work cause I am pregnant after i told the lady in hr manager that my doctor is not letting me carrying more than 10lbs and she disagree and i even told her i have a critical pregnancy. So I quit in a heartbeat. My baby is more important than my job.

I Usually Have A Very Very Pleasant Visit Every Time I Come To This Location. Every Single Time. But This Time I Didn’t . The Cashier’s Attitude SUCKED And The Only Reason I Didn’t Snatch Her Lace Front Wig Off, Is Because My Kids Were With Me. I’m A SUPER Nice Person…Sometimes OVERLY Nice And It Takes A LOT To Make Me MAD :)

There are absolutely no ways to check out other than self checkout. The lady running it was very friendly and helpful but Im not supporting a company that would rather cut millions of full time positions to part time, or all together, than pay out any kind of benefits. Its a decent store aside from that.

Be warned only self checkout. Doesnt bother me, but some folks get bothered by this.

Staff uncooperative regarding a sale item that was taken off clearance area. Refuse to grant sales price even after checking to see item was on clearance table. Unfriendly to customer. Lots of staff appeared to be preoccupied with other things (personal phone) unconcerned as regards to customers ! And, customer service area is awe full! Stuff everywhere! Everywhere. Lack of organizational skills. This includes returned food items(chicken, sausages etc.) in baskets sitting around the customer service checkout. It is gross 🤮!! Clean up and pay attention to the customers. Training needed ASAP for all staff. Help Opelika to be #1 in Alabama. The Walmart staff is too laid back! Unconcerned, only there counting the time down to “get out of there “

Some of the employees, dont even try to help you. They are so busy talking to each other and ignoring the customers. They dont understand without customers they have NO JOB!!!

Ah Walmart, that bastion of consumerism and excess. How far you have fallen.No tobacco, no 24hrs, self checkout only... You couldnt fit the issues on an entire pioneer woman notebook worth of Chinese paper. To be honest, i dont even know why this company still exist. Get a Sams club membership if you want a real Walmart.

Good customer service and but sometimes not enough worker long lanes sometimes rude employees but not all over all great places.

This WalMart is generally staffed by friendly and knowledgeable people, and keeps well stocked. My only real problem here is that they rarely (if ever) have enough lanes with cashiers open. The self checkout always has people who can help you if necessary, but the limited number of regular lanes open is a real problem during peak hours. I NEVER go here during peak hours or when students are stocking up as a result.

Checking out was good, the representative that helped me treated me like a customer and not like an imposition. As far as the rest of my visit, no rep in sporting goods, out of stock on most of the items I wanted, and the things that I needed were mostly out of stock or at least not out on the shelf. The online reps that fill these orders are doing what they can, but really inhibit the instore shopping experience. Most people I am associated with choose not to go to Walmart. I have remained loyal, however I starting to fill like Im not getting what I expect anymore. How does Walmart not have mustard in stock and Dollar General has a shelf full. I went for 2 things and checked out at 3 different self checkout registers because all didnt take cash but credit card only. There wasnt any type of display for Card Only anywhere. After 3rd attempt I gave up and walked out without a purchase. I can get in and out faster at Kroger, Piggly Wiggly and the mom and pop stores in town compared to wasting time at Walmart.

Cashier with orange hair on aisle 15 stopped helping the people in front of me to scream at a guy named Daniel. I feel sorry for the man. Even if he was supposed to do something, she shouldn’t have stopped helping customers for her own selfish reasons. I’m not shopping here again. That cashier is a terrible representation of Walmart.

Very clean and very fast checkout. They are mostly self checkout with very few registers and it actually helps lines move alot faster.

The first couple of associates didnt have time it seemed to help us. Granted they are trying so hard to restock everything. The place did look spectacular. The third associate though, what a great guy, helped us select the right shop vac, got it off the top shelf for us, all with a smile.

Customer service was very good to me at the self check out. When the person tells me after I get thru to let them know and one of them said I get with you it is only one of me I was very angry I will not be at the self check out there at all I just will not shop there I hate them to be rude at when I just let them know I am thru they should say I be right with you that would not be rude at all

Food was delicious. We had ribs turkey mac n cheese and okra. Everything was great and the bbq sauce was so tasteful. The staff is very kind and the service is speedy.

I really dont want to give them a bad review but this has happened to many times. I now have to call them out. The pickup service will destroy your items. I have had them drop items in the parking lot and them break and they just put the item back in the bag and put it in the vehicle. This has happened with different people so this is a management or leak of management problem in the pickup department. I will start using a different store for this service. Sorry.

A tarp was priced $9.97, rung up $29.97 at the register and I was not allowed to get the item at the price on the shelf. Had a picture to prove the $9.97 price, still could not get it at that price and no one went to check to confirm the $9.97 price. Plus, the self-check out is such an inconvenience. I no longer grocery shop at Walmart. I am not purchasing over $600.00/month (or more) at a store where I have to bag my own groceries, after shopping for over an hour. At a self-check out I need an extra shopping cart just to have a place to put bagged groceries(along with other products). Cause there is not enough room for all the items at the register, before my shopping cart is empty.

The self checkout is inefficient & causes serious delays. I extremely dislike this setup. Walmart gets the majority of my spending money but I have to wonder if the savings are worth dealing with the checkout situation.

Will never go back to Opelika Walmart. ONE line for the entire store funneled to the three working self checkout kiosks. FIVE employees directing you to the next available self checkout - instead of those five just running a cash register... THEN, two more employees checking your bag and receipt at the door! Hell no! You want to check my bag and receipt, you should have bagged the items, rung me up and printed the receipt yourself.

I have not shopped at Walmart for many years because of this specific reason. Walmarts customer service is beyond pitiful. We sat in the pickup line in Lane 20 for an hour and 15 minutes we watched 12 cars get loaded before after the third time I jumped out of my car and finally waved someone down to get our pickup order they said oh yes thats been in the fridge for over an hour! I know we have called twice and checked in for our pickup order. This was my last resort as I dont like giving poor reviews but after calling the store six times and never being able to leave a message or speak to a real person this is what I have resorted to.

The self checkout is too tightly spaced. I changed to 1 star today because the lady in fabrics tried 3 different labelers and neither would print. She called for a manager and, after twenty minutes no manager came. She handwrote the labels for our fabric, then customer service refused to ring it up. Waste of fabric and money for Walmart.

Nice store. Has a lot more to offer than our little store in Alex City. Both doors were open to the public . We found all we needed except for ghost peppers.

Every time I go to Walmart, I remember why I rarely go there. This location has removed all but a couple of registers, which were closed, and replaced them with 2 corrals of self check out machines. Im sorry but I dont work for Walmart, so why am I supposed to do their job, while they employ fewer and fewer employees and make money hand over fist, and always making even more?

Remodeling... Seemed very chaotic.... Hard to find items. They have changed the check outs. There are now only two manned check outs, all the others are self check outs. Although, one of the manned check outs was open she wasnt serving customers. Not a pleasant shopping experience. As a fellow customer stated, and I completely agree, if I didnt need this Id leave it here (in the buggy at the check out line) and shop someplace else.

Wouldnt trade my 6.88 lamp. Second one that quit. They didnt realize I had just spent 500.00 in 2 days because of a funeral. Girl at service desk at 9.45 was rude and I could tell she was not gonna be coropotive. She told me too prove the lamp came from there. I come back she advised me she was in break and I would have too get someone else to help me. Also the next day I buy a toilet lid with no plastic bolts. Fat chance on getting it swapped. I was helping 3 sons that has just lost their mom. Trying too make the house look good for out of town family. Thanks WalMart for the customer service! I was a Manager for 25 years. They need too go back and watch the films again.

I had a wonderful experience in the Automotive Department. Mr. Sterling (Mgr) and his staff were excellent in their category.The Representatives who assisted me in the Paint Department(between 3:40pm -5:40pm,two females) were great.Thank you Opelika, Alabama (Pepperell Parkway ).

No customer service, self scanning and one of my ideas would not scan the helper said well go get another one or just dont buy it and took my item and walked away

The customer service in the electronics department is absolutely horrible I try to go in person to get a laptop the employee there who is helping me stopped in the middle of helping me to go help three other customers didn’t even end up helping me get a laptop did not know any kind of information on the laptops I tried to go to a different Walmart ended up buying one from them was the wrong information wrong kind of laptop try to recall the Walmart supercenter in Auburn to ask for some help looking for a laptop and the employee basically told me she was not going to help me because she was busy in there with other customers when I went in there myself about five minutes later she had no one around so she just did not want to help me I will no longer be using Walmart for any kind of shopping I will go to Winn-Dixie for my food and I will go to Best Buy for my electronics Walmart has now lost a customer who’s been going to them for almost 20 years now

I always liked the self checkout because I could ring up my things and take my time,but,they made a mistake making ALL the registers self checkout! Today the line was backed up to the chips/snacks! The other day it took me 20 minutes to ring up a cartful of groceries. They shouldve stuck with the self checkout for small orders. Sometimes its best to just keep things the way theyve always been 😳

This is one of the better Walmarts always friendly greeting and freshly remodeled.

Today I brought my 83 year old cousin with alzheimer to get her eyes checked. Dr. John Richardson was the best working with her and making sure she felt comfortable with everything he did. The sweet lady checking temperatures kept a check on my cousins husband and made sure he was good while waiting for his wife to finish. I highly recommend Opelika Walmart Vision center. Best experience. Thank you for such great care.

Hey what can I say about Walmart.Its my favorite place to shop. Because they have everything I need. Even with the self checkout, its my favorite store to shop in. Why go somewhere else.

Everything was disorganized, and it was hard to find items on the shelves in certain areas. The Walmart app also didnt work with the store to help you find where stuff was.
