We were given the best customer service from beginning to end when we walked into Namco Pools. We were greeted by Steve and he helped us to find the perfect pool for our yard. His patience and knowledge was impressive and thorough. Although this year has been a sell out for pools Steve did his best to expedite our order. Even after we left Namco Steve maintained contact in keeping us updated on everything and answered any questions along the way. I cannot state more strongly how infuriating this process has been with Namco. We purchased our pool back in THE FALL of 2020 (Sept/Oct), with Jim T who did his job of sales fine enough. Namco was supposed to hold the pool until install was able to happen- and wed be first on the list for the spring. Permits with our city were applied for and it has been months since then (EIGHT MONTHS SINCE PURCHASE) and I have no pool installed.On top of that, the pool was delivered to our home and not NAMCO and I have had the pallets sitting in my garage for 2 months rendering that space useless while we wait for Bob the installer to make it worth his while financially to get the excavator down here.As described by other recent reviews we were told that since no one else is in the area, its not worth it for him to get the guy down here yet, that the weather has been a problem, and that he doesnt have workers. We have reached out to Jim and to customer service via email and no response.I will also be contacting the Better Business Bureau to report for services paid for and not delivered. It is going to be the second week of June and we still have no pool. It is outrageous and I would strongly recommend that you DO NOT give your business to a place that cannot fulfill their promises on delivery and cannot subcontract out work for install but can certainly take your money for it and not respond.

Over the years we have purchased both a pool and hot tub from Namco in Orange. The customer service I have experienced has been excellent! Especially Joe, who always is helpful and vey knowledgeable about pools and spas! Joe’s customer service skills are awesome and I would recommend visiting the Orange Namco!

I could not be more pleased with my experience with this company. Steve was extremely helpful in explaining the differences in the tubs and helping me pick out the style and color that I wanted. Overall amazing support even the delivery was a bit tricky because of the location but the guys were amazing and we made it work! Enjoying every minute!
First and foremost, both managers, Joe and I’m not sure the other guys name, are THE most knowledgeable people in any supply store. They can answer any question from pool robot vacuums to pool skimmer repair procedures . Will never rush you in making a pool or hot tub purchase. THE Best prices on chemicals and new pools, and service second to none. They go out of their way to help you. I’ve even seen them carry purchases out to customers cars. Who does that? I needed a part for the next day and I called them 10 mins to closing, the manager actually stayed 20 min after they closed to wait for me to get there. 100% on point. Terrible customer service. Was called out of the blue by one of their associates, and was then asked to speak to my wife so that the associate could harass her like shes been harassing them for 2 years. The thing is we moved into our house less than a year ago, and only made our first purchase from Namco a week ago. When i asked to speak to a manager the woman who called me said there was none available, so I asked for her information so that i could call back later and she hung up on me. I called back a minute later, the manager was there and couldnt provide me with any help or resolution. Really considering returning the equipment we bought and spending our money elsewhere. Recommend everyone else does the same as clearly my information is not being kept private on their end.Post Edit: In response to your request below, I left a voicemail yesterday with my contact information to be followed up with and have not heard back. Purchased several items from Namco in Orange. Pool, Hut Tub, Moon Bed the staff is always knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Always a GREAT experience.
Purchased a pool at the beginning of March with installation. Pool was installed in April. Its the end of June and we still havent received ANYTHING from the maintenance package. Nothing. No updates or call backs. Customer service routes to voicemail. Chat feature wont help because thats another department. This is absurd.

Probably the worst experience of my life with this place and company. They sold me a $12k pool with installation in February 2021. I was promised (with contract) that the install will take place between mid May to mid June. Today is June 6th 2021 and I still don’t have an install date. The pool has been sitting on my driveway since early May 2021. I called the store in Orange many many times. The Rep that solde the pool NEVER returns my calls. I spoke to the manager of the store over a week ago, he said I will be hearing from the installation manager, still notning. I called the head office of Namco, more promises and still no installation date! Once I got an installation guy on the phone, he told me that I should have bought a smaller round pool to get it installed faster because the one I got is too big and he doesn’t have any guys to install it. Unreal! Do NOT buy from this company, what they promise they don’t deliver.

Went into showroom Sunday June 6th. It was a hazy/hot/humid day and there was LITERALLY not one salesman on the floorWaited 10 minutes with 2 other potential customers looking to buy patio furniture. After searching the store to no avail we went online and found the exact same set for 800 bucks cheaper!!!1899 in the store and 1099 from a different vendor with free shipping.We all left together without ever seeing a salesman.

I purchased my pool in March 2021, the seller steve was great, whats expected of course. They sell you anything above and behind. After the sale went thru the rest was a nightmare. 1st Steve told me I will receive my pool in 14 days, never happened, 2nd he referred me to an electrician that never called me back, 3rd once I contacted Steve why my pool hasnt arrived he gave me the number for the delivery guy, I contacted him and he told me that he didnt received the pool yet which it was s lie, namco had send it, but they were holding it, the reason why is because they were waiting for more deliveries in my area, those were his exact words and with an attitude, I literally had to wait almost a month for my pool, thats when they had more deliveries in my area, insane. 4th the installer, I paid a lot of money for the installation as I wanted professional installed, when I called the installer, the 1st thing he said was, we are extremely busy and you might have to pay an additional $400 if more than 6 inches deep, I said why my lot is literally flat, he told me didnt you read the contract and I said YES but I paid for 6 inches which is the requirement and Namco clearly explained it to me. He was rude and looking for more money without even looking at my lot. Soooooo then he told me well Im sending the excavation crew next week, no one called, so called then today again and he was with excuses the weather this the weather that, Ill send them next week, then this guy called me back stating that I never called him to let him know that my pool arrived, I was like Sir I called you 2 weeks ago and you said you were busy, he sound annoyed, like if he is doing this for FREE, this man is getting paid over 1k and he has poor customer service, Im telling you, I felt like he is doing me a favor and kind of beg to get my pool installed. Well lets see what happens when the pool is installed I pray that I have no more headaches, happy I started this painful process early in march and hopefully I have my pool up and running by the summer. Can you imagine if I both it in May or June lol. Another thing I want to add, I had to get a building and Zoning permit which expired in July, I also want to do a deck, the electrician is waiting and other contractors as well, so these people just think about them not a care that we have others waiting.I will not recommend Namco to anyone my 1st pool and is not pleasant at all. All 3 contractor given by Namco are not pleasant at all, with attitudes, never calling back and lying to get what they want at my cost. The installer should get someone to answer the calls as he has no manners at all and cant keep track of the calls he receives, unless he was lying too, to give him time, who knows. Im just so unhappy with Namco and their contractors. I purchased the pool in Orange ct. People in my area be aware. Well I might have to come back and add so more if I have any problems with the installation or parts, I wish I had read the reviews before buying from Namco, I see now theres a lot of unhappy customers, dang it, I always read reviews before I buy, but not this time, my fault i guess.

My husband & I can not thank Joe R from the Orange, CT location enough!!! Joe provided us the best customer service we have received in a LONG time. Joe was very understanding, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Most importantly he did not become annoyed when we kept asking him a million questions (first time pool buyers). After previously having such a horrible experience at the same location (tall white guy with blonde hair), we are very happy we were greeted by Joe the moment we walked in today. Joe made sure we will have our new pool installed by May 2021. Every company should strive to hire more employees like Joe R.

I cant believe I am giving this such a high rating, but the rep that helped us today restored our faith in Namco. He was so knowledgeable and helpful. He even showed us a video on the product we bought. We took a before picture and once the cycle for the treatment is complete we will take an after. Fingers crossed!
We just purchased our first hot tub from Steve. He was extremely helpful and professional throughout the entire process. While most other dealers attributed delayed delivery times and lack of inventory to COVID-19 (which, I am sure is true), Steve went out of his way to locate the tub we are looking for, on a delivery schedule we are happy with. Thank you, Steve!
This store is absolutely horrible! The hold time for my first call was 20 minutes. My second I was put on hold for 12 minutes. The people that work here can careless about customer service. I bought a pool there 7 years ago and they never mentioned that their pools rust in this amount of time. The warranty does not cover this. We spent money on pool we thought would last us at least 15 years. All they care about is taking your money. They will be nice to you when your spending big bucks. Once you just need supplies or help they are rude and not helpful. Your just another dollar to keep them in business. Leslies will be our new go to. They are much more knowledgeable and friendly and will do what they can to help you with any issues you have or anything you need. Sorry Namco you are the worst store I have ever had to deal with. You will never see another penny from me or my family. Now with social media you should care about how you treat your customers.

HORRIBLE experience!!! Currently have our pool set up but no ladder. Paid for the ladder but no one can tell us where our ladder is. Ordered pool May 17th. Call customer service number no one answers and mail boxes are full. Sent email to customer service which sends an automatic response that it could take 5-7 days for a response but in the meantime they have my money. And we have no ladder so we can enjoy our pool.The guys who came to level the yard told us we needed to pay an extra $200.00 but then come to find out we did not need to pay extra, as no extra fill was used. The guys that came to set up our pool were so rude, we simply asked some questions and the main guy would speak awful to us. Degrading our knowledge of pools. He would fly in and out of our narrow drive way with his pickup truck while I had to have my 4 young children stay in the house afraid he might hit them. And now we already have a leak from one of the hoses leading to the filter. Now we are on another list to have someone come out to look at it...who knows when that will be. Who knows if and when we will get our ladder. There is a women that answers the phone in the Orange CT store who is so rude. This has been awful. Would never recommend Namco to anyone in the future. Once you purchase your pool the experience from store to complete install with all parts available to use should be top priority but that is certainly not the case. Only care about the sale, once out the door you are not a concern.
If I could give negative stars I would. I received a broken pool pump and have been trying to get in touch with someone for over 1 month now to get it replaced. No one responds to email and no one answers their phone. Take your business anywhere but here! At this point, maybe I will have a usable pool pump for next summer!!!
I have been an Orange NAMCO customer for over 7 years. The employees here are great. Any questions I have they have knowledgeable staff to help. The store is always clean and fully stocked. Joe is very knowledgeable in all areas and Jimmy is a great Manager.
Worse experience EVER!!! Bought pool 6/6/2020 received pool 7/15 and pool installed 7/16. Pool was leaking and work was done poorly!!!! When I reached out to Marc Kagan he wanted to send a $200 store credit! No, unsatisfactory!!! and did not have the decency to call and has not responded to my emails about the pool leaking or badly done job! If I could give a negative star ⭐️ I would!!!👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾I called customer service the mailbox is full! I called the store and the staff seemed like they were bothered! I would not recommend!!! Not even the people in the corporate office or helpful and they don’t care about their customers!!!!

Our pool collapsed in the beginning of June, 2020. With the Covid situation it was impossible to find an oval pool the same size to replace it. Jim S. at the Orange, CT, Namco location found us our new pool and it was delivered and installed this past weekend. He went out of his way to continue to look for a pool for us after we visited the store and he called us once he found one. He is an exceptional employee who went above and beyond to get us our new pool! Thank you Jim S.

My Parents owned a pool, and shopped at Namco. My Wifes Parents owned a pool, and shopped at Namco. Guess where I shop? Owning a Pool, is a lot like owning a boat. There always seems to be something that needs fixing, and your family gets to use it a lot more then you do. The good news is, Namco is usually able to help. They carry a lot of different liners to chose from (Cause, guess what, kids jumping and playing in the pool will ruin a liner, to steal a line from a movie Its Vinyl Baby!). We have an obnoxious beaded liner, but they had one when an action figure went through mine. They closed for the season, but have since reopened under new ownership. I saw some familiar faces while shopping, which is good. They are now carrying Hayward, which is great cause they make the best stuff. They still do free water tests and have the best deal on chemicals, so knock on wood, the new Namco will be even better.Now if they can just get some Patio Sets in, my wife wants a patio to go with her pool (And I will have another thing to maintain and winterize!)

Terrible service, I would never recommend them to anyone. I used to shop here before I traveled to Oxford to get my supplies, I have to say it was one of the worst experiences of my life! …. Regardless, they are only interested in Big time sales, on products they are not qualified to sell. Talk to a real pool company a Local pool company in your area, they will specialize in your needs. I know because when I made a switch, Yes I paid more.... but the service met my needs and actually worked out.
It has been a year and I am still happy with my experience picking out a hot tub. Stephen Palaski was a pleasure to deal with. He listened to what I wanted and showed me the options. He and I together made this happen. It was mainly Stephen, that made it all come together! I am so excited to share my pictures!
If I could give 0 stars I would. One of the managers (Steve) said he was overwhelmed and to come back the next day. Then I was told that the financing they promised was not for the hot tub but yet they have signs for all hot tubs. They lied about ordering hot tub as well. Horrible. Would never go back
The management change here . New management ok.. . I truly feel for them b ecause they are trying to do there best. Prices are way high, they need more customer service representative and more registers specially in the summer.
Dont use their recommendations for installers. They ripped us off when they came to install the pool. Also the installers did not check code for my town and the pools pump and filter were to close to the pool. Had to be 5 feet from the rim. I ended up moving it further away and it wasnt easy. Then Namco was supposed to order a solar cover for our new pool bought in May and installed in June and when we called to inquire about the cover towards the end of June they had never ordered it. Had to wait 2 weeks to get it. Poor communication and their installers ripped us off by asking for an additional $400.00 on top of the purchase that was financed and included the installation. The installer was scetchy as the extra $400.00 had to be paid while they were here installing the pool and either in cash or a money order made out to his name. Dont trust Namco and do your research. Check other Pool places as there has to be a more reliable better business practice one somewhere in CT. Pool however is very nice and so far no major problems with the pump or filter. Just check around and get all prices in writing.

Called the store and asked about a specific product. Was told it was in stock. Went to the store, and the product was not in stock. At the store, the staff were at best so-so; not really friendly and acted as if I was bothering them. The longest sentence used with me was, Whatever is back there on wall is it. As far as the physical plant, the store was organized and uncluttered. It was clean. There were plenty of pool chemicals, etc. Not much else to say...

We had 1 guy in a button down short walk by us 5 times, & another guy in a button down shirt claiming he would be right with us after he took care of another shopper. He rung out the shopper & walked away from us. I found a young guy in a Namco Polo who not only helped us but took the time explain the purchase & answer questions!! He was very helpful and very professional!!
I was looking into getting a pool for my family and I wasnt aware of what was involved until I got to know the sales staff at the new Namco. I was able to get through the pool installed and everything was up to code in the and the financing helped me put this together and get a great deal! The new Jacuzzi and patio lineup was also something that caught my eye and something else to think about for the near future! The new ownership at Namco has a local favorite back on the right track.

My wife and I have been considering a pool for a few years and have been going with the inflate-a-pool option instead. After struggling with the decision to spend a bit more this year we went to see Steve P in the Orange store. Not only did he give us a good initial idea of what we were looking at for an investment but he ensured we understood everything we should review regarding permitting, install, and ongoing maintenance as well.His initial estimate was right on when compared with others, his guidance on working with the city was right on, and we NEVER felt pressured at all.I could not ask for a better experience while shopping for a pool.Oh, and the final cost was EXACTLY in line with what he told us to expect.Awesome service, awesome products, and amazing experience. Already referred family members to them.
This visit was great. Sometimes employees are summer help and often dont have the answers to my questions. Since North Haven closed, Orange is quite a bit further for us to commute. Products are usually sold out with no intention of restocking. My recent visit surprised me. Not only was he personal but so full of knowledge. Made me aware of sales that I didnt know were advertised. I had an ongoing issue with my Staycation Rewards and he finally was able to straighten it out! Restored my faith in Namco!

I have been shopping here for years and when I went in the store yesterday I was very impressed with the look and amount of product in the store. The best it has looked in a couple of years. The staff that is there this year has very helpful and full of knowledge.

Didnt have many pool activities
They oversell over promise tell you what you want to hear for the sale, then call and tell you theres a 6to 8 week delay before you even get your pool, after they take your money so now I will make 2 credit card payments on a pool we dont even have yet.

My dad sent me to Namco to get supplies for our pool. I went in very confused about what he needed exactly, but the staff member Joe was so knowledgeable, patient and helpful he figured out just what we needed. I would highly recommend this place!

My wife went to the orange store to get a part for our pool. we purchased it there 2 yrs ago, the man at the front desks was VERY rude and offered no help. He told my wife to go to Home Depot for the valve, said he would not order it for her. I called the store after my wife called me and the phone just kept ringing, no one picked up the phone. This is a store to stay away from.I would have given this store a -10 but the lowest rating is a 1 star
This specific namco was wonderful with my mother in law, she wanted a pool in ground they helped her find everything she needed, everything was awesome! BUTTTTTT please remove Bob from your pool installer suggestions list, theres another person on your list who actually just hung up on her. I dont know the name of that person she wouldnt tell me or give me his number to give him a piece of my mind. Anyways She called bob and they were very unhelpful and rude AND thats not enough they left her not one but TWO nasty voicemails letting her know, weve done our best to get back in contact with you, were taking you off our appointment list I guess you can call back and reschedule. For part. If you cannot remove said installer I understand but I hope others see this review and chose someone else to install their pools for them because everything she went through with them just to end up having our contactor doing it for us putting the rest of our house on hold wasnt worth the money they were asking. Again though this specific namco was AMAZING. I wish I could remember the employees name but he was tall, well dressed, short hair (wanna say blonde or dirty blode but I could be wrong.)
