For an IT professional, he should update his website to reflect this, but instead will let you book an online appointment, schedule your day around said appointment, only to call and tell you two hours before that hes not accepting new clients. He has made no attempt to make it clear on his website or on other platforms (i.e. Google Maps) that he is not taking on new business. Instead, IM the one trying to save people the time and energy by updating Maps myself, as well as writing this review. Apparently Sean is successful enough to turn away business, but not successful enough to hire an assistant. Thanks, bud.

Met with Sean to have PC assessed for repair. Provided $80 deposit for work to be done. It’s been three months and have not heard anything. After months of attempting to reach owner to obtain a refund I have yet to hear back and have yet to receive my refund. Sorry to leave this review but it is so frustrating to be blown off.

Sean came out and worked on our computer but said it was a provider problem. Provider said it was our computer. Scheduled another appointment with Sean to help me with our backup. The scheduled time came and went, no contact. Left message, no reply. We did pay for his time when he first came out. Took the computer to Office Depot for their free checkup. They fixed my back up problem and my computer.Life happens, just call and say you cant come out!

I wish I could give a good review. I dropped my computer off for service Nov 21. I was informed by the assistant that it might be a while as the main repair guy has been struggling with health issues. Work starts Dec 5th. At some point I was contacted and informed that the diagnostic/ work was going to cost the full amount of their flat rate work price, $150. We proceeded since I was trusting all the good reviews. No word from them till Dec 21. Im simply told the computer is ready to be picked up. I had to ask what the result was, they didnt offer, and at that time I was also informed that they couldnt source the part from any of the dealers they work with so they couldnt complete the job. They still charged the full flat rate fee of $150. I was never spoken to buy the repair guy himself, and both times I was at the shop he was sleeping so I just spoke with the assistant. I would have appreciated being contacted while the computer was being worked on and offered any sort of alternative, like sourcing a board second hand from an individual (with no guarantee etc,) any kind of option. I inquired about if a discount could be offered considering nothing changed with the machine, but was denied. Im going to have to do the repair myself, which I dont really have time for. It sucks.I would say that perhaps until the repair guy is well again, dont expect a ton of communication, speed, or anything really. Im hoping that my situation is just an anomaly.

Sean built a custom computer for our family. He even took dimensions of the IKEA shelf custom work space we have for our computer and found a special case for the computer to fit exactly in the space we needed it to fit.He took every thing that was important to us and produced an amazing machine. Had a problem with an older Mac desktop that is still an awesome computer but Apple considers vintage. I figured out that Apple wont even service them anymore, which is disappointing for a computer that weve sunk $6-7k into to make it a powerful beast! I found Oregon City Computers online a couple of years ago to fix what I thought was a really big problem with my sons computer, it turned out, when my son was putting it together, one of the screws was loose. Sean wasnt even going to charge us for looking at the computer. He even had my son come in so he could show him what to do next time. His continued support has been priceless and I can say without hesitation, we will never take our computer issues anywhere else!

My sister recommended Oregon City Computers when I was in desperate need of a Mac Tech. Sean expertly solved my immediate issue, but our conversations quickly uncovered a business liability Id been coping with for 17 years: unmanageable data and insufficient backup plan. Sean customized a backup strategy that included moving (6) external drives, scattered across my desktop to a single enclosure with 32TB of storage. This was then RAID configured to protect against drive failure. Additionally, Sean helped me see the need for a manual backup (that could be stored off site) and a continuous flow backup (using an inexpensive online service — BackBlaze). These have both been implemented. I actually have 8TB of data being backed up to the cloud — all in the background, I dont even have to think about it. (Plus, of course Time Machine). The peace of mind of having all my files in one place, instead of scattered across so many drives — plus knowing everything is safely being backed up — is priceless. I appreciate Oregon City Computer’s flat rate pricing (drop off your computer for a low flat rate fee; not hourly rate) as well as Sean’s willingness to make house calls when drop offs aren’t convenient (as he did just today). And Sean is never just “all business.” He loves to get to know the people he works with. I heartily recommend Oregon City Computers for whatever you computer needs are — personal or commercial. He is equally comfortable on both Macintosh and PC platforms.

Sean Arnold did a terrific job updating my old computer and bought and installed a new printer that would work with it. I run a small business in Oregon City. We have a number of computers that are not as new as we would like, but they work well for the most part. Sean is the computer geek you need to meet if you have a misbehaving computer. My iMac had died and since it was 8 years old I replaced it, but did not want to dispose of it with the hard drive in it. Also considered repairing which Sean candidly advises against since it was an overheating problem and replacing the part would not solve the underlying design problem.
