My wife and I had an excellent experience at the Orland Park store with an employee in the Christmas Tree Department, Penny M. Penny is a true asset to American Sale, not pushy, but asking us if we needed assistance and answering all of our questions. Through her attentiveness, we actually purchased a more expensive tree than we had wanted before we entered the store. A pleasure to deal with a sales associate with a great personality.

Good place just always low on supplies for the pool. I would recommend ordering online and have it sent to this location. That is the best way to guarantee you will get what you need

We visited two days in a row to look at Christmas trees. The staff in the tree department, Anne and Penny, were very helpful and we were planning to buy a tree here, but they don’t have enough help in the checkout. There was only one person checking out customers, and unfortunately the line was too long for us to wait and we had to move on to other obligations. Hope to try another time.

Better than outlet in Tinley, but not really very interested in selling or answering questions. Price quoted was $3000 higher than an acquaintance recently paid, and they bought a nicer system. Some of that is probably due to supply chain issues, but $3000 increase over less than a month or 2 at the most seems a little outrageous.Also erroneously told item we wanted came in only 1 size. Rechecked with owner of unit we want, and it does come in a smaller size, which could very well account for such a price difference. As earlier stated, salesman not interested enough to check what he was telling us. I even asked if he was so familiar with the product that he could quote price and definitively state that it came in only one size. He stated he did. Wonder how our acquaintances acquired a smaller size when none are manufactured according to your salesman???? Poor salesmanship is only answer I can come up with. Hope others do their own homework rather than rely on salesman info.

Delivery was very timely and the delivery men were courteous and efficient. They put together my items with care and were respective of my property.

Do not buy an inground pool from this company! Salesman Chris B. has been a nightmare to deal with. First Chris screwed up my estimate by not including the labor for the pool Crete. My installer quoted me $4,000 more than what American Sale estimated. Had to have 3 separate deliveries because they kept forgetting items. The vacuum hose was the wrong size. The mesh pool cover was the wrong size.Ive been waiting since the last week in august for my pool cover which had to be sent back to the manufacturer. Chris first claimed that the cover was way over size and would take a couple weeks for them to resize it and theyd be back out for an install. 6 weeks later still no cover, I called multiple store managers and Chris multiple times with no response. Chris finally responded to an email saying it will be another 2-3 weeks. He blamed it on me the customer for my patio being the wrong size when he had all the dimensions for my pool and exactly how big the boarder was around the pool. I have zero confidence I will have a cover before winter. Not one apology ever for their mistakes. They dont return your calls, they dont try to make it right. After they take your money good luck getting a hold of anyone to take care of you.The only positive experience was having Marc from Century pools install my pool. Marc was great to work with, took his time and did a fantastic job. American Sale on the other hand has been a complete nightmare…treat your customers right and they will return. Treat me like garbage and I will never spend another dollar at your business.

Disappointing at best. Back in February we ordered an above ground swimming pool. We were told it would not be delivered until early June, and installed two weeks later.Move a head to June and no pool. We ordered our pool at the same time as some family members. We did get out pool in late June. Our family never go theirs. They were called and told that the pool they ordered and paid for was not in stock anymore. This also led to them choosing another pool. That one also was not in stock after they had made the order. They finally cancelled their order. They were told it would take 7 -10 days to get the money back to them. at day 14 they still had not gotten the money back.Now back to our experience. Once our pool was delivered we were told they would call us with an install date. Not telling us the idea of two weeks has changed. We waited a few weeks for an update on the install. We got all in permits and such taken care of, and had not word. I called and they had not set up an install date yet. I got a text that evening stating the install would be in late August.We went ahead and installed the pool ourselves. We called to cancel the install. A few days later I get a text and call confirming our install date. I called the store and the install company to cancel again.I will update this review once I see how they refund us the install charge.

Al tho they didnt have everything out for Christmas yet. You still can get all ur Christmas decorations. Staff was very friendly and pantichen looking for some lights for me.

The staff in the patio department of American Sale answered all of my questions about stock, availability, delivery, and anything else I wanted to know. However, the gentleman in the billing department was the opposite; reading his voice and demeanor on the phone, he didnt know what he was doing. American Sale had to call me back to get the proper billing information.

A great place to shop for all of your holiday needs. The store is clean, fully stocked, and offers good prices and quality service.

I, personally, would never purchase a large item from this store again nor recommend the store to anyone. I do not feel we received almost $5k spent worth of customer service. That store is too busy for their own good.

We went to this store in hopes of getting an bottom extension pole for our new umbrella. They were all sold out and they even checked all other stores for us. We bought a couple of accessories for our patio anyway, the service was excellent.

Went to this location and was very disappointed. Went to see if they had a replacement for a gazebo I brought from there years ago. My family and I was walked all over could not get any help. Was in the store over 30 minutes and until we went back downstairs in the pool section to ask this young man for help. He was really nice he called a manager to help us. The manager was also nice. But the young man and the lady that worked in the upstairs department did not acknowledge us. I hate to play the race card but I could see it being anything else. I watched how they interacted with the white customers. Since the manager explained that they no longer carry the replacement. I decided to buy a new one but after finding out I had to deal with the two that acted like they did not want to help in the first place. I went and spent my money at another store and brought a new gazebo with better customer service.

Super friendly staff. Always willing to help and go out of their way to get your project done for you.

I work for Trinity Services and have been dealing with Sarah at American Sales, Sarah has gone above and beyond to make sure that our company is taken care of with the best service and prices. She responds to our phone calls within minutes with solutions & answers. She was also able to get us our pool table to be delivered months ahead of schedule. Definitely will be back for our next purchase with Sarah.

This has been one of the worst homeowner experiences. I bought a pool in early November and was told it would be installed late May-early June (it is on our paperwork). We had to pay prior to receiving the pool. After paying, the pool was delivered in March and has been sitting in our garage. We get a text saying our install is July 9. We called American Sales a dozen times. We are transferred to their install department and they never answer or call back. We come to terms with it and get our permit. Months later and without notice, they charge our installer. We didn’t even know until today when we went to called to ask a question. We went to change the installer on the permit and the village tells us THEY AREN’T BONDED. I literally have to go into American Sales (because they don’t answer phone calls). They say they will contact them to make sure it is renewed. I ask if I will be notified and they say no just check in with the village… $6,000 and they treat you like garbage.

Do not buy from this company. We had a pool installed, unleveled. We contacted them on day one, installer came out five times to try and fix with the water in the pool, they bent the wall and then we were made to pay for a new wall AND installation...TWICE. No communication even when emailing the CEO down to customer service, blatant lying, no transparency in dates. They want the initial sale, that is all. Terrible. Spend your hard-earned money elsewhere.

Good luck calling the store. I was looking for some pool filter parts, I got put on hold, then transferred, then hung up on. All is a 5-7 minute phone call. I called back and was told to leave a message, I did, no return call. I finally went into the store and found a few things I needed. I would rated the store .5 stars if it wasnt for the young man that took good care on me once I arrived.

Great sales and service. Penny sold us our patio set, umbrella, cover and a hammock. She was great at her job! It included free delivery and set up. Were very pleased. Such a fun store!

If I could give no stars that would be more ideal. I purchased a pool with sales associate Sarah. I received my pool 3days after the day it was scheduled to be delivered. The communication was TERRIBLE, I had to call them to figure out the delay, when they should have been contacting me. Everyone I spoke with was confused, about the situation as if the order can’t be looked up in there system. They finally delivered the pool and it was JUST A POOL, no start up kit, chemicals, ladder, filter, pump, nothing just the pool. And I am still to this day 6.16.21 trying to get the necessities for my pool. I’ve had to cancel 2 events due to their incompetence. What was supposed to be a smooth experience and it was absolutely HORRIBLE. I recommend going to a different location, or even a different pool store!

Stopped in a few days ago prior to getting there spoke to a woman her name is Anne you could tell right away she was a seasoned salesperson who knew exactly what I needed and assist me with the proper chemicals to get my pool from murky green to Crystal Clear in a few days so glad I found her. Thank you Anne & America Sales. All of your staff should be as knowledgeable as her.

Don’t come here if you need chlorine tablets! They have a sign that says they have them in stock but only for those who have purchased a pool with them. Off to the Great Escape we go and won’t be purchasing ANYTHING from American Sale again.

I was told I would have my custom in 60 days its been 120 days. I called again and they said it was sitting at Tinley Park location.The service is not good. They said they shipped we will see also had to have to Olhausen Pool rep level my table because the installers could not. I dont recommend American sale.

Walk in to the store, a guy was on his desk ask him for info he give me a look, walk away and i start looking at the pools, this amazing lady ! ANNE ! came and ask me is i need help, super polite and she help me to decide after show me options on the pools they have, We end up purchasing a 18R above ground. Please go see her!!! super happy and we just purchase yesterday!!! 10 stars to her.

Unattentive service in the store. I purchased a playset that was installed improperly. It has taken over two months for me to receive a response other than Your parts are on order. The repair person did not show during appointment window. He called at the time of the appointment window close to say that he would be 2 hours late. This is unacceptable. First, it installed improperly and then the appointment time is not kept? Unsatisfied to say the least.

Went in with some pool buying questions and left with a down-payment on a pool. Chris was very knowledgeable, answered all our questions and was in no way pushy. Chris was very helpful and made the pool buying process quick and easy. I recommend stopping in if youre looking for knowledge pool people!

Everything they told us about the installation was false. Buy the pool from them and hire your own installer.

I ordered a hard top gazebo in April with Penny. We were suppose to get it in May, then June. Now its almost August. I have been taking to penny from tge beginnig about how long it was taking. Today she felt bad that we had to wait so long so she talked to her manager. There was a different gazebo available but it cost more. She got the price down that made it worthwhile. She said we should get a call for delivery and install within two weeks. Within 1 hour the service department call and its being installed next tuesday. Thank you thank you thank you. The best people.

The worst service around! I have been to this place three times in the last six months to get simple things like a pump or pH test strip or chemicals there is a bunch of people working there but not a single person that will ever ask you if you need assistance.when you ask them they just point or say they don’t have it when you look on your own you find what you need but wasting much time.I just went in there there were six visible employees 2 on iPads one on a cell phone and not one person would get up and help me

They never answer the phone. Tried calling today and after several attempts someone finally answered. The girl on the other line told me that she couldn’t help me over the phone and that I needed to come in person because she was too busy. I asked for her name and got hung up on. This place is a joke and the service here is poor. I will take my wallet somewhere else.

I had to call 2x for a simple question if they had any 1” chlorine tablets to only get attitude stating only have 3” if I want it. If I wanted 3” I would have then asked for 3” from the start. They are supposed to help you, not give you attitude!!!

Went in for info about a pool cover two weeks ago. Gave my info so that they can come out for measurements. No one ever came. A week later I ended up going back to tell them the measurements and they said that they would come pick up the old cover to get proper measurements. Been a week and no one has called to pick it up. I will be going back to get my deposits back.

Ann Saunders was my Salesperson. She was very kind and patient with me. Ann worked with me until I found the merchandise I wanted. She was very professional.I had the total opposite experience with The Delivery Service. I received my merchandise on 6/21/21 at 4:00pm. I had the DeliveryMan from Hell. He was rude snd very disrespectful. He never told me his name. He did not wear a mask. He did not have booties for his shoes. He did take his shoes off. He came in and told me he would need to take my patio door off. I told him, no. He went outside got a piece of the grill and it did fit through the patio door. He went back outside and put the grill together in the STREET! When he finally put it together and brought the grill in he said he couldn’t get the grill through the door. Then my neighbor rang my bell and asked the driver to move his truck so his wife could get out of their driveway and go to the hospital to see her sick Aunt. I asked the DeliveryMan to please move his truck he kept arguing with me saying the grill can’t fit. Then he said he was going to just leave the grill in my living room and he walked out. I am handicapped so I had my best friend at my house. She went after him and told him once he moved the truck to come back and put the grill on the deck. He came back in and My girlfriend helped him put the grill on my deck. He was so rude and disrespectful. Very unprofessional. Bad customer service.

For me kind of overpriced items for Christmas starting from tress to lights and nothing special.. look kind of big but almost less items than the location in Bridgeview... and bathrooms are just filthy and stinky.. People working there really nice and helfull.. sorry but Im buying Christmas decorations somewhere else

I wanted to acknowledge one of your customer service managers. Sherry K. Having purchased a pool with American Sales back in June 2020. Then seeking information on instillation for my pool. I was very upset with the service being giving by Tinley Park Sales Reps. They only give me a phone number for the installer. And seemed annoyed when I call back for help on getting a date to install.I proceeded to call that number many times leaving voicemails for return call with information yet never being giving a courtesy call back. I proceeded to post a complain on AS website. There after I was greatly appreciative of hearing from Sherry. She was able to get the installer to call with a date. The worst came thru in that call hearing how I would be faced with a install date of July 1. I was greatly upset and totally stress out. I called Sherry and express my dissatisfaction of waiting over two months from having received my pool equipment. While it appears Sherry understood my feelings having brought this pool a year ago and being told we would be first in line, then having to wait two months. Then Sherry K did her thing and to my complete satisfaction was told that within two weeks I will have my pool installed. It’s people like Sherry that make businesses succeed. I had been to another location and didnt receive the same service therefore I knew it was worth the extra distance when I met Geoffrey. He understood my concerns of making a big purchase and helped me feel confident in my selection.

Just bought my 1st pool. Chris helped us with our purchase. Very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Never did I feel obligated or hurried on anything. He explained everything in detail. My experience with American Sale is still ongoing and I wish it never began. I visited the store October and met with Anne S. to purchase a new liner for my inground pool. Anne promised the liner would be installed first job in the spring which made sense to me. Fast forward to zero communication until April 21 when I began reaching out to American Sale and Anne. Getting put on hold and being hung up on was commonplace. Anne handed me off to the store manager who seems to be trying to help but not very effectivley. Job was then scheduled for May 20th, No Show. Showed May 21 5pm and drained pool. Havent heard back from anyone since and it is now May 24th, no calls no emails. No liner. I would not recommend nor will I ever shop there again.

I wanted to take the time to commend Peggy that works in Christmas trees. She sold mea tree last year and this year she was just as friendly and I didn’t purchase anything in her section. What an amazing lady. Be sureTo pass along to Peggy.

Purchased top of the line Hot Springs Prism tub. The base of the tub is made of pine and cracked after 10 months. Was told the base is not under warranty ! There answer to the repair was to paint it not replace it.Its like putting a Porsche on top of wagon wheels. Do not purchase a Hot Springs Hot Tub !

It’s not just all about the number of sales he can squeeze in, in a day. He treats you like you matter! Such a positive experience. I would highly recommend seeking out Chris when you visit the Orland Park location! I will be referring my friends and family to him when they are ready to make a pool or hot tub purchase.

Maybe there is quality there that I dont understand but $5000. For a seating group seems like too much to me.

Not too impressed with this location when you take into account that everyone was sitting down relaxing or on there cellphones. No one greeted us when we came in. No one offered any assistance as we searched for products. Its unfortunate that companies operate like this that have been around so long. Perhaps people have just grown to accept mediocrity, and subpar service, and still spend money in these establishments

My wife and I are moving into our first home and we were looking at all the stores in Orland for solid patio furniture. American Sale had the most selection out of all 5 of the major furniture stores in the Orland/Mokena area. We walked in, were greeted but given the space to look around without feeling pressured to figure things out with another person there. Once I was ready to ask some questions Sue Middleton greeted us again and was super helpful answering our questions and she knew some inside tips from previous customers about the fire pit set we ended up buying to make sure things worked well with it during winter. She was also just really nice and excited for us for our new move. We spent a solid 4 hours going to all of the furniture stores in the area, but we were in and out within 30 min, which as a guy that doesn’t like shopping is big for me. One of the better retail experiences I’ve had while making a larger purchase.

Staff was busy but everyone was helpful. Getting back to you and explaining how to use products. I never felt ignored, even while waiting on a sales rep if someone saw me standing when they walked past they would ask if I needed help.

Horrible service! We bought a hot tub back in Feb. Was delivered 3 months ago and we were finally able to get it hooked up recently and found out the wire on the hot tub is bad! No one from service has called us when we called multiple times . We called the store and I also emailed the store manager and still no response! I would not recommend at all! I work in Customer Service and this is just awful!Here is another update - found out there was a bad pump on the brand new hot tub. They came out to fix it but now the spa panel (where you turn the jets on and off) is not working. So insane and I am beyond frustrated at this point. Oahu Elite Hot Tub - DO NOT RECOMMEND!
