Mr Drew Johnson is the most complete audio/video technician I have ever encountered. He’s part sales, part install and part engineer. He wares many hats and is a master of them all. He knows his products and can “dumb down” to my level. He’s not afraid to tell you which way will give you the most value. Don’t waste your time and money on a bunch of geeks. I was extremely happy with Drew and Florida Home theaters. He does a great job and is incredibly knowledgeable and thorough on all his work. I contracted him to create and install a home movie theater experience for my house and honestly it was the best money I have ever spent on my house. The theater is awesome and my family absolutely loves it. Drew installed it about a year ago and has been great following up with any questions or slight tweaks that I have needed over this last year. If you want a true home movie theatre experience there is no reason to look anywhere else.

Drew was a professional from start to finish. I explained my problem with my theater screen that was installed by another company. After having no luck getting the previous company to repair it, Drew listen to my concerns and solved the issue. He called the manufacture and found out exactly what part I needed. He came to the house and repaired my screen. He also corrected an electrical wiring problem the previous company had installed which made the screen circuit board go bad in the first place. He was friendly and courteous and cleaned up after they repair even when I told him I could take care of that part. My theater screen works great and the price was extremely fair and well worth it! I would highly recommend him for any of your home theater needs .

Drew is simply the best at what he does. Did my whole room theater installed a 120 inch screen and 4K projector. Also my whole 9.2 atmos sound system. Took his time to explain everything very good to me and calibrated my whole system. Best movie room anyone could ask for and Drew is the man to get it done right for you. Drew evaluated my (old) home theatre system, and made a great plan & recommendation for a Sonos system (soundbar, amp & sub).In addition, he was able to tie in the old “whole house” system with the use of another Sonos amp.It all sounds AWESOME. I couldn’t be happier with the quality of work and professionalism.I now truly have the home theatre experience that I wanted. 100% recommend!!

Do not bother with this company if you have a small job. Took multiple times reaching out to get an estimate for our work. He originally stated he was only 2 weeks out in work. When I followed up once again, since we hadnt heard anything or received an updated estimate, so we could send a deposit and get a date for our work. He basically said he signed on huge jobs last week and didnt really have the time or desire to complete ours. He wasted at least 3 weeks of our time being unresponsive when we could have found someone else. Be upfront next time if my approximately $2000 job isnt worth your time.Update to Florida Home Theaters response:Like you mentioned, you apologized after you described all the jobs you had just signed on, including a $40,000 dollar job. Honestly that is awesome and Im glad local places are getting this kind of work. Our request wasnt for 2 weeks out, we asked if he could complete the job by July 9th. But your words at the time made it seem as if my job was insignificant and you were trying to deter me from going with you. As for giving us an estimate 6 months ago, that is correct. And we were not ready to do the work at the time. That is why we reached back out now since we were ready. We emailed you on May 8 and asked for an update to that estimate after our phone conversation. We didnt receive anything the following week so we followed up. We finally received the updated quote on May 20th. I called to go over the quote since there were discrepancies. You politely said you would update it. We received the updated quote on May 27th. I immediately followed up via email to figure out how we could send our deposit and schedule a date. Since i didnt hear anything, thats when I called you on May 29th, thus leading to this review.At the end of the day, more timely responsiveness could go a long way. On may 8th when we had our original conversation, you mentioned you had a 2 week lead time. We tried to be understanding about getting a late response from you since you were in the field. We felt as if we were trying really hard to get this thing going in the next month, but were were made to feel as though there are more important jobs. Wasting peoples time and making them feel as though their job is insignificant in the grand scheme of things is not what I call good business.*this review is based off our interaction with Florida Home Theaters and not their quality of work.

I recently moved to the area and found Florida Home Theaters on google.I have had some professional HT installs in the past so I had a bar to judge Drew by. Not only did he give me an exceptional price on all equipment but managed to exceed my expectations on the install. Without a doubt, Drew is the most knowledgeable and capable person I know in this industry. He is honest, professional, courteous and definitely knows his stuff.
