I love buying all my lenses. They have the best gently uses lenses that work like new. Plus the service is just amazing. Everyone is just so nice. I highly recommend them for all camera needs.

I lost my camera charger right before flying to Africa and was desperate for a replacement. Amazon cancelled the delivery so I found this local business and they had exactly what I needed! They even let me test it to make sure that it worked.

They try to sound knowledgable, but were wrong on many things they tried to explain to me. I just let them talk. Ive been in photography for 40 years and Im addicted to buying and using film cameras (and I have a lot!) They wouldnt make a deal on a used item, even though I was buying other things, and I told them I drove 50 miles to visit their store. It was only $20 I asked to take off, their reply was someone will buy it. Wrong attitude! They forgot the number one rule in retail.. A happy customer is a repeat customer. I wont go back.

I expect to be greeted or acknowledged after I’ve spent my fair share of cash here. How does a woman walk in after me and she’s quickly greeted.Then the owner appears from the back and does not acknowledge me right away either. Odd.

Lily was amazing at proving service to buying a new camera. She found me what I hope to be my perfect camera for my vlog. The store is huge with a lot of selection. The only downfall is no military discount. Other electronic stores do have it but didn’t have my camera that I wanted.

I found Harmon Photo online while on business in Orlando. I had foolishly brought a broken lens with me and needed to find a replacement. Thanks to their excellent used lenses listings on their website, I knew they had it, and dropping by for pickup was a breeze. They even pointed me to a great little camera repair shop for tweaking an old camera body I had with me. Thanks for saving my photoshoot in the Everglades!

This place is sort of a hit or miss place. Sometimes there are wonderful selections of used camera gear. The issue that I have found is that a lot of the used gear has not been tested completely. They do have a good return policy but if you buy several used items and keep coming back to return them because they are not working properly due to the fact that they were not tested completely, you might be told not to ever return back. All of this could have been prevented if they actually spent the time to test the items fully. In either situation, it still is a great place to find some nice gear. Just know that the best thing to do is to test the item fully while youre inside the store to avoid headaches later.

I traded in some old gear. The offers werent the best, but its impossible nowadays to compete with big businesses and online companies. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and down to earth and that kind of stuff is priceless. I would definitely come back in the future. Support brick and mortar businesses!

I buy cameras and gear here, they are knowledgeable and work with you on what your needs are. Will not sell you something you dont need. My go to shop for photog gear. They also process film and have great deals on photo printing.

I came here to get my passport photos. Not only was their price half of what the local pharmacies are charging, but the service was excellent and very quick. The photos turned out good (for passport photos) and I got them within 5 minutes. Highly recommend and will use them again in the future.

Down on a quick getaway from South Carolina and needed to pick up a few items and to see whats new. The customer service was on point and I was greeted upon entering the store. I was looking for a particular camera, but it was not a stocked item. So there were a few suggestions made with available cameras and I was educated on camera features and lenses. Pretty much opened my eyes to how I can move forward with my photography endeavors. What a great shopping experience.

Was at Harmon today and did not get waited on. The gentlemen behind the counter was having a conversation with a women that seemed like it wasnt going to end. I just stood there and he never acknowledged me at all. I will take my photo needs to another photo shop.

Knowledgeable shop and great classes. Can perform most all of your photo needs, including developing film and servicing cameras. Product selection is limited; primarily Canon and Nikon equipment. They can order things though, and are quite competitive against online pricing.They keep most all essential gear in stock, as well as a small selection of film for those of you who are not digital. A great place to shop in a pinch, but an even better place to get to know the staff and do regular business with.....

My mom and I were gifted with a basic photography class at Harmon Photo for Christmas. We really enjoyed Susan and her vast knowledge of cameras and settings. She was unbiased toward brand and really worked with each student to help set them up for success. I hope to take many more classes with Susan in the future.

Best camera store in the state. Great knowledgeable staff that know and love photography. They do an excellent processing job and still can process film!!! Great for those of us that love shooting with film and happy to see this local family business is still standing

Its amazing theres still one of these places in existence. Ive had two restoration jobs done by them, and they do first-class work. I dont think their price is out of bounds, not for what you get in return.

Had them copy a bunch of Super 8 film reels from the 1960s to a flash drive. They got most of it even though some of the film was a bit degraded. Said they needed 3-4 weeks, but they took 6. The people I spoke with on the phone couldnt find the file and didnt call me back as they said they would. Still, I am happy with the results in the end.

Excellent staff super knowledgeable. My go to camera store for sure! They offer something for every level of photographer.

Here’s my entire experience at Harmon Photo.I was extremely excited to learn there was still a photo store in existence carrying a lot of products I thought were only available online. After my 30 minute drive I arrived receive no assistance and an unfriendly staff member who sat at the counter on his phone. I didn’t lay much attention but as I browsed the products on display I quickly realized how over priced everything was compared to the same exact products on amazon. I cut my losses and checked some of the used lenses just out of curiosity, these were also overpriced and when I inquired about my camera (Panasonic G85) the attendant advised me to check Best Buy our without even asking me what I was looking for. You wonder why your business will likely fail and is getting eaten by Amazon...poor customer service like that and unreasonable price gouging is the reason!!

Ive spent over 5k with them already because of how they treated me when I had a question on a lense I already owned. I went back to purchase new camera, new lenses, triggers and backdrops. Been going back since.

Needed a passport photo quickly. Was in and out the door in 10 to 15 minutes with a professional quality photo Price was better than a lot of other places that dont have a pro taking it, or professional lighting.

I went in a few weeks ago with some friends and they were very friendly, answering our questions and during checkout. The store is also very nicely laid out and extremely clean. Went here as a total newbie to the film camera scene. Staff was very helpful in getting my film processed, recommending accessories, and even pointed me to a camera repair shop for further work on my old AE-1 program.Next day developing is definitely a plus. Will most likely be back.

I wondered why there were so many negative reviews on this place. Then I saw that folks were complaining about the price. Anyhow Ive been here twice for my international passport photos and it was a great experience. I printed the specs my country required and they got it right both times. Even got a compliment from someone with how great my passport pictures came out, LOL. If you need passport pics they might be a bit pricey, but I would recommend using them if you need it done right.

Not helpful. The girl who answered the phone couldnt have been more apathetic. Asking her questions was like trying to get blood from a rock. Very rude.You really dont have a single number for a film vendor? Not a clue? What kind of a photography store is this?

Went in twice with the intent of purchasing a back pack for my camera, lenses, and tri-pod. Stopped in on my way home from work so I was dressed professionally. Spent at least 30 minutes looking at back packs, pulling some off the shelf to open to see if it would suit my needs. I was obviously not just browsing and was looking for a specific item. Not one person came up and asked if I needed help. Much socializing between employees. Decided to give them a second chance and the next week went back in and had the same experience. Once I found the back pack I wanted in their store I went online to purchase it. I love to give my business to locals but not when I am completely ignored. The next time I needed something I went to Colonial Photo & Hobby and had a wonderful experience.

Have gotten my passport pictures taken here twice and they’re always great professional quality. Much better than going to an Walgreens or CVS. Definitely worth it

I do not understand the bad reviews. I have been to Harmon Photo quite a few times in the last 4-5 months. I have taken classes there and went there to have services done and also to ask questions and troubleshoot my camera/technique issues and have had wonderful, attentive, knowledgable and helpful service every time. I have talked with at least 5 employees there and every one has been amazing. I didnt go there for the longest time because of the bad reviews and now I am kicking myself that I didnt start going there sooner.

Overpriced and everything here is a hassle. They have one good photographer who knows some stuff and a decent print lab. Everything else is a disaster. If you need Sony products don’t bother it’s not important enough to carry the 2nd largest selling camera manufacturers equipment in a camera store.

I had 4 rolls of B&W film processed here. They under fixed everything and told me my film was either old or heat damaged so I would still have to pay. 1 or 2 rolls of heat damaged film would make sense, but 4? Sorry, they may have good services other than film processing, but I will not be going back to find out.

Ive noticed that this place has been given a bad rep on review sites...Im a professional Photographer from the Uk, i found this by accident in my new local neighbourhood and was made up. Its hard to find a decent photography store away from the big chains these days..Anyway, my opinion, is that its a retail shop. So buying new or specific kit will cost the normal price, youll probably get cheaper online but that said if you are looking for second hand or non-specific kit you have to get in there and see whats on offer. Ive had loads of great bits of kit and even done a few trips for those random little emergency bits we all need sometimes.On my trips ive found the staff to be ok, not necessarily the most excitable bunch at first glance but hey, they are photographers. We take a while to warm up. Also once you speak to them they know their kit.They do same day printing at a reasonable price and itll be sad when its not there anymore.Use it or loose it. *Sod Best Buy*

I was quite excited to see a local camera store and was looking for information on DSLR cameras, prepared to buy one that day. I drove about an hour to go to this one. The big feature we were looking for was 1:1 ratio to take photos for ebay and poshmark. We had already done extensive online research and had a couple models we thought would do it, but wanted to talk to an expert and see the cameras in person before we bought. After looking at one of their cameras, they flat out told us that no DSLR cameras do 1:1 ratio, and if we want that we need a point and shoot, quite condescendingly I might add. We then told them we were sure some models did it, as we had watched many videos on the topic. He then asked why we dont just use our phone for selling online. What?!? You are a camera store! Why would you say that?!? Anyway, we left and ended up buying a Canon Rebel T6 online, which is a DSLR and has 1:1 ratio. They only sell used and the newest Rebel they had was the T3, which does not have 1:1. They seem out of date on what current cameras can do.

I took the Photo II class since i did have a little experience with DSLRs. I must say that the 4 day class (once a week for four weeks) was excellent. I learned more in that time frame than i ever did on my own. The class was taught by Susan and she did a wonderful job explaining how to use aperture, Shutter and ISO to get that perfect shot. I plan on taking some other classes in the future.

The team at Harmon are fantastic to work with - they listen when you have special instructions and make the final product shine!

First time going into Harmon Photo today looking to process/develop super 8mm film. What a horrendous and insulting experience. The gentlemen who I spoke with talked to me as if I was some ignorant kid who knew nothing about film or photo. When he directed me elsewhere, he couldnt give me anymore information than a company name. He seemed insulted when I asked more information about the company HE recommended. If Im recommending a company to a friend or client, it definitely wont be Harmon Photo. Never returning.

The prices are high and the employees were not friendly, never asked if we needed help. Not worth the drive.

This is your grandfathers photography store and thats not a bad thing. Service was friendly and hard to find photog supplies found to be in stock. Little pricey but worth it if you have to have it now.
