My family and I highly recommend Ability Floors. We are new to Florida and wanted to replace the carpet in our new home with wood flooring that had a character reminiscent of our 80 year old home back in California. We also wanted a green option that had zero VOC’s. They were able to pinpoint the exactly what we were looking for and found us a beautiful hard wood that is distressed and completely green. Their work ethic was impeccable, and the floors look even better than we could have imagined. Shane was patient with us as we picked out our floors, letting us bring home samples to find exactly the right color and texture. Very friendly and helpful throughout the selection process. We loved that they made sure what we wanted was in stock and was able to schedule the installation shortly after. Much better experience all around than our trip to Home Depot, who didnt communicate to us that most the selections were backordered and installers were book out over a month days after we paid. They did work at my mothers house also. I realize now that if companies dont like a negative review, they will just respond by saying they dont know who you are and never worked for you. There were two guys who did the work. I dont remember their names. The owner is Rick Scovil. I sent him a certified letter saying I was considering taking legal action if he continued to bully me. Thats when he left me alone.DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!

The sanding was done so meticulously that I can’t tell walking barefoot where one board ends and another one begins! And top it all off, they left my house clean (no wood dust or tools left behind). Mediocre work at best and very expensive for what was received. Unhappy with the finished product, the floors look aesthetically fine but the process took several weeks to complete on 923 square foot condo. Paid and requested to have concrete level but they took it upon themselves to use sand to level in its place as a substitute further delaying the process because it had to get redone with the method of leveling I requested initually, along with sloppy cuts and dings in the wood pieces that had to get redone as well. The floors are floating which is not what I wanted in the first place, the door or stair transition pieces do not match the floors and I had to figure out how to attach the front door piece myself. They did not attach the stair foot covers and just left them alone. I paid for baseboards and shoe molding as well and was told last minute they could not do the baseboards anymore and was refunded but it further delayed the completion. On top of all that they do not touch/move any furniture or appliances making the process a lot more difficult. Will not use again and wish I wouldve done more research on the other flooring companies in the area that wouldve gotten the job done right the first time.

The quality, customer service and professionalism of the Ability team is unmatched. The completely leveled my floor before laying the tile (not just in spots like some other companies were proposing) to the point where there’s not even 1/8 of an inch difference in the height of the tiles. I couldn’t be happier with the work and happier that I went with Ability.

There was a delay installing because of a supply issue (tile company not Ability Floors). Ability Floors handled handled the situation with fairness and great communication. Excellent work and workmanship on refinishing heart pines floors in a house built in 1914. The quality and look of the finish using tongue oil is amazing.
