Very disappointed with the folks at Coins and Currency of Orlando that are using Eurams good name. I bought and sold a number of numismatic coins over the years from a variety of shops in the Orlando area before moving. Gold hit an all time high a few weeks back and I decided to check out Euram Coins since most of my dealings had been through them. I noticed they had moved and paid them a visit on curry ford road. Upon my arrival I noticed this was not Euram coins but Coins and Currency of Orlando, even though google said this was the new location. I met with John and Priscilla, faces I had never seen before at Euram. They were extremely friendly and the place was nice inside. Actually, it was much nicer than the old Euram. John told me that they had bought Euram, so I felt comfortable enough to get an offer from them for my coins. When I got the offer from him I was floored, because it was 11k LESS than what I expected. I made sure he was sure about the offer which he said he was, then I politely declined and left. Fearing that I might be the one that was misinformed about the worth of my coins I decided to visit another coin shop in winter springs that I dealt with occasionally years ago. Long story short they offered me almost $13k more than the folks at Coins and Currency of Orlando. When I got back home I was extremely mad about my experience at Coins and Currency. I decided to do a little research about Coins and Currency and Euram. What I found was disturbing. Florida business records show that Euram coins is no longer a business and has not been for some time. It is also not listed as dba either. How in the world are these people allowed to do business under a closed business name. If you are gonna do business under a previously respected businesses name wouldn’t it behoove you to actually show them some respect by giving fair offers to their previous clients?
