This is ridiculous. Been on hold over 20 minutes now to see if they had the right size ammo for my gun. This is ridiculous and its anytime I try to call. I live out of town or else Id just stop by and ask and not waste a trip just too find out they dont have any.

Did not go in the store as a fairly good amount of homeless hanging out in parking close to store asking for money, cigarettes, food, working on their cars, and getting angry with you if you dont have what they want. In my case they needed money or cigarettes. I was yelled at and called bad names for not having cigarettes or funds to share.

Big 5 Sporting Goods has always been a pleasant place to shop. For the most part they seem to always employ people that are courteous and helpful. Nice change from some other stores Ive shopped. It seems the costs of everything is climbing out of reasonableness. (great word). However they offer coupons online. Any discount is helpful. Overall a nice place to shop. Especially since we dont have any other free standing stores like theirs.

Great place to get life jackets for the kids. Theyre not too pricey and they come with all kinds of instructions so you know theyre actually rated as life saving devices. Also found a nice swimming suit for under $10.

Employees should focus on talking about products with the customers instead of having another customer wait for 10 minutes before they tend to them. Once I got his attention service was great but my only suggestion is to be more attentive to the job.

Clean wall stocked staff very helpful front cashier friendly give me a military discount .ill be back again.

Well, the industry they are a part of is really diminishing right now, and you can see that in the store.I want to encourage anyone who values these kinds of shops to use this store if they can, cause its obviously hard for them to stay in business these days.

We purchased an ankle brace support. Well, actually I bought the wrong size and had to return it for a different size. The staff is great. No problems exchanging my purchase. Yes, I will shop there again, as my granddaughter is just beginning to get active in various sporting events!!!

Friendly staff. Clean store. Buy my kids sporting goods here. Great selection of camping stuff. Lots of clothing and active wear. Good deals on shoes as well. Sometimes it can take a minute to get help in the shoe department. But there is always someone quick to help at the front in the store. Also a little pricey on items.

My first visit to a Big 5 since the Camp Fire & the Oroville store has a good selection of shoes which is what I went in for. 2 pairs of shoes & 1 other item for a little over $100. I left there very satisfied.

Big 5 Sporting Goods constantly has clearances and sales that fits my budget. The store has a great return policy. Just make sure to keep your receipt. Excellent customer service! I have never had any issues here.

Big 5 has a large selection of athletic shoes. I have foot problems so its hard 2 find shoes that work for me. On this visit I found a pair of New Balance that are perfect. They were marked down to $25 so it was double score. So glad we have Big 5 in Oroville.

Didnt get service besides the nice lady at the front. Was trying to spend money there but their white customers were helped first instead. Left and went to a different place.

Good prices and lots of sales however the employees treat treated me like a thief or something. Constantly following me around and asking me if I need help over and over. I still ended up buying 2 pairs of shoes but was turned off by the staffs behavior.

This store is great for the sports enthusiast. Whether hunting to swimming, golf to snow boarding, Big 5 has it all. I buy my hunting and camping supplies here. Nice choice to choose from.

Coustomer service was lacking.

Its not the biggest sporting goods store but they have a variety of quality equipment for camping, hunting and fishing. They do need to improve on there ammo for use in hunting in California. They need to carry more non toxic ammo in rifle, pistol and shotgun including copper ammo for rifles and pistols and bismuth and tungsten for shotguns besides the steel they carry.

They had what we were looking for & when we had to ask for help the sales associates jumped to help us! All in all great shopping experience.

Took awhile for someone to wait on me in the shoe department, but the store is clean and orderly. Can always find a good pair of shoes in the 20 dollar range that fit comfortable. Staff is friendly so if it wasnt for the wait it would have been a 5 star rating from me.

Big five is great place to go if you need anything sports related. My son plays baseball and we get almost all of our gear there and it is top quality. The staff is very helpful and not to pushy they help you find anything you need. The store was very clean and I wish they had a public restroom because one of my kids has to use the bathroom frequently. Really miss the friendly and outgoing personality of Jayna a mgr. that was transferred to the Yuba City store. PLEASE BRING BACK JAYNA.

The prices at Big 5 are way to high, to the point that I looked at the prices of some of the things I would like to have gotten from there and didnt get a single thing, not even close to reasonable and these are things that can be found at othere places like walmart for example for way less money.

A decent place to pick up camping equipment, shoes, or sports equipment.
