Their mocha was definitely the most watery and flavorless mocha i’ve ever had. The atmosphere is nice, but there is no wifi, so it’s not suitable for people that want to get some work done.
Village grind is the absolute perfect way to start my day, any day. Between the extremely kind staff and owner that treat you like an old friend, the incredible options of unique coffees and food, and even the customers’ friendliness, it’s one of those places that feel like the definition of community. I’d take this over Starbucks every time. No matter how my day is going, I always leave in a better mood than I walked in with.
As a decaf coffee drinker, I love that they have brewed decaf at all times. The shop itself is super cute and the staff is always friendly.
I happened to drive past this coffee shop on my way to a friends house. I loved the warmth and feel of this place. The coffee was really good and the different rooms all made me feel like slowing down and enjoying the moment. Not many places have that affect on me. We live in a really fast world, so places like this are a needed reminder to slow down and enjoy life. Thanks.
Really small but cute shop. But lacking in drink menu. Only about 8 items. No specialty drinks(lattes, cappuccino, etc).Did have alot of shelf items, but I just wanted a coffee.
This is my favorite coffee shop. I always make sure to stop there whenever Im in town. I HIGHLY recommend the whole wheat bagel with olive cream cheese 🥰
Wonderful place to grab some freshly baked pastries, and a hot or cold coffee/tea. I love to meetup with friends to sit and chat here 💛
Love, love, LOVE this place!! The hot chocolate is super hot but so, so yummy! Their Holy Cow pie was delicious as usual and their cookies also yummy! Thanks guys, youre awesome! Wish I could go everyday! Cant wait til next time!!!
A nice, quaint coffee shop. They have all your favorite drinks and cozy decor. Seating is limited, but its a nice spot to sit down and relax with your favorite cuppa joe. They have a limited food menu with some tasty vittles. If youre in the area, its worth stopping by. The service is quick and friendly.
Got some beans from here and I really like the Guatemalan!
Wonderful place to go. Great coffee, lunches, pastries and so cute there!!
I have loved the Village Grind for many years. The coffee, the menu items, the atmosphere and the people never disappoint! Today, my teenage daughter and I stopped in to sit for a quick coffee between errands and learned that the Village Grind has delicious Gluten Free treats as well! My daughter is GF and though we didnt see anything in the case, when we asked, the barrista gave a run down of several treats that available as options - today she had the GF cinnamon coffee cake. She said it was delicious! She cant wait to try the other treats!!
I have been coming to The Village Grind in Downtown Oswego since I was a student at Oswego High School. They are always friendly and have great season-themed food.
Top notch coffee! And a wonderful upside down chocolate cake. Will be back!
Great coffee and pastries. Friendly staff and a great walkable location. Definitely recommend.
1.) NO WIFI: It wasn’t broken or anything. They just don’t have it.2.) The coffee: Great prices, but all of the coffee is poorly brewed. The “baristas” are very sweet, but none of them really seem to be trained to brew a proper coffee drink. All three drinks I’ve had from here (two lattes and one regular cup, all on separate visits) have been incredibly weak.3.) Seating: lots of cool vintage seating and tables. The place is very cluttered but I think it adds to the cool “grandma’s house” vibe here.4.) Coffee beans: They do sell a variety of flavors of whole beans. You bag it they weigh it. When brewed at home properly, these are excellently flavored beans. Most or all are blends. I don’t think any are single origin.
Sweet and kind employees! They are so wonderful about learning faces, names and drinks! They greet you with a smile and the coffee and food is always delicious! Cannot say enough! They have had my business for years and will continue to have it for years to come!
Love this place. Can you start opening earlier again so I can make it in?
One of my favorite local coffee shops. Support local!
I love this place. Small and cozy, youll feel as if you belong. The staff are wonderful. Theyre friendly and patient. Theyve got a great selection of coffees and other drinks. They typically also have desserts such as cobblers, pies, and cookies. By far my favorite thing to order here is one of their bagel dogs. I absolutely love them.
Good coffee and snacks. They have a coffee called outta Africa dark🤭🤭
Delicious coffee and treats!
Great little coffee shop in downtown Oswego, with owners and staff who are some of the friendliest people around. It’s worth a stop for the coffee alone, but I’d highly recommend that you pick up one of their locally-made pies, quiches, or breakfast sandwiches. This is a common place for cyclists to stop during a long ride as Village Grind is very accommodating (and a cup of coffee and tasty slice of pie is great fuel to complete your ride).
Village Grind is the cutest little coffee shop in downtown Oswego. They have great coffee and pastries. The staff is always really friendly. The shop is very quaint with indoor and outdoor seating. My husband and I love this coffee shop and love to support small family owned businesses!
I love this place! I wish it was in my town.
Very cozy local coffee house with great selection of coffee drinks at market prices. Interior is essentially a farm house with seating broken up into a few smallish rooms with wooden table and chairs. Dim lighting. Like I said, cozy. Very friendly staff. Would recommend. Only reason rating is not 5 star is the seating area is a bit small and only has wooden chairs. No lounge chairs but thats just my preference. Others may not care.
Great RedEye, got it iced. Not watered down, nice.full.flavor. Quirky and fun decor and the staff was really on top of their game..and they are located in the historic Lincoln Memorial route. Check out the giant plaque a few doors down.
Very nice place a little expensive but you get good quality food and coffee here!! Very laid back atmosphere also!! Try the soups they Are all good especially the chili.. my daughter likes the ice creamAnd coffee is free refills!! Great place in aQuaint town...
This place to me was fun!!! The young ladies behind the counter were nice to let me know their favorite desserts. I tried their strawberry rhubarb pie (1st time) she did tell me it was a little bit on the sweet side for her but good. Well after my sandwich, which was yummy she was right a bit too sweet for me but it was good. Id go there again. You can eat inside or out I ate inside. I think youll enjoy this place they serve coffee also...I like country and this was quaint to me!
Great stop for coffee and cake.
I absolutely LOVE this little, hometown coffee shop. My favorite place to stop by and relax or to grab some delicious pastries (I tend to leave with more than one for myself).
Some of the best coffee in the suburbs. They have seasonal blends, iced and standard... All kinds of great finds. The owner is also a great support to the local community, recently donating a large container of coffee to F3 Naperville for the first annual 5k fundraiser. Great people and great coffee. Support local and be rewarded.
I love the grind and go regularly, but I wish they made sweet tea instead of having customers just put sugar in ourselves. The sugar sinks to the bottom in iced tea because it wasnt brewed with the actual tea and water. Im also not a huge fan of the seating, its kind of crowded. Regardless, its a nice little coffee shop and they have fantastic bagels.
Village Grind has the best coffee in the area. Using locally roasted beans they hand craft artisan coffee beverages both hot and cold. They also offer a delightful selection of home baked goodies--pies, bars, cookies... The eat in area is adorable and comfortable with local artisan created decorations on display and for sale. In the heart of downtown Oswego, this local treasure is a must visit if youre in the area!
The village grind is my go too coffee shop! Great homemade breakfast options and desserts. I really enjoy the different flavors of coffee. The employees are very kind and remember my order! Definitely worth the trip!
This place is just brilliant. A nice, friendly and welcoming environment to get work done, hang out with friends, or just enjoy a perfect cup of coffee! If I could give 10 stars I would, I am just inlove with this place!!!
I have been to this little coffee shop several times and it is always been a wonderful experience. The staff is charming and delightful. The food is fresh and tasty!!
Great local coffee shop. Delicious pastries, friendly service, you should go here. 🙂
Great little local shop to get some excellent coffee, smoothies, and even some tasty food. If you are looking for an excellent alternative to the big 2 coffee shop options, support local and go here! Always friendly service and clean inside.
Cozy little coffee shop in the beautiful downtown area of Oswego. They have a great variety of baked goods and drinks. All served quickly and the all taste great. The place is a little cramped and the items for sale are a touch pricey, but overall worthwhile.
This little family owned coffee shop is my favorite in the area! They have all sorts of flavors of coffee along with a wonderful selection of breakfast sandwiches and lunch sandwiches. The interior is the coziest place Ive ever eaten! In the warmer months they even have gelato thats to die for! To top all that, their prices cant be beat! Customer for life!
Love this quaint little coffee shop. Very small town country feel. Lots of homemade desserts, breakfast items, gluten free muffins and gelato. Cute little table settings and an outside screened area for sitting to enjoy your coffee and treat. Always a great spot to meet a friend and while there take a stroll along the area to see some cute shops on Main Street.
All support for local coffee shops! Got to sit in decently comfortable chairs and talk with friends. Cozy space without being too kitschy. That being said, the dark roast coffee I ordered was weak and unsatisfying. The blueberry muffin was frozen and got slimy as it thawed. The half-n-half was quickly refilled upon request. The napkin I picked up off the stack created a huge cloud of dust for some reason. For coffee shop experiences, Ive had better and Ive had worse. This was okay. Next time here, Ill know to get a couple shots of espresso added to the mug to make a satisfying cup of coffee.
Enjoy the treats and drinks! New fav is the custom latte (I believe its a supreme latte). You choose from the fresh brewed coffee instead of espresso... Got my seal of approval. Family friendly, little cozy spot.
I had never been here before but I went for the first time the other day and it was so cute and cozy. Super friendly staff and great beverages!
Great little place while being from out of town. Good coffee and good vibes.
I go here 2 or 3 times a week and its been my favorite spot for months. The service is amazing and the workers arw the nicest in the world. And its very well priced!
Absolute gem of a place, you have to stop here! Theyve got great coffees, soups, oatmeal (not a typo), baked goods, boxed lunches and a killer tea selection. Keto boxed lunches, snacks, bagels with a nearly endless selection of cream cheeses. Hand-made jewelry and accessories, cards and all kinds of tasty options, so worth a visit. The owner is a sweetheart, and youd be remiss to be anywhere near this place and not stop in. I assure you, you cant go wrong.Psst....have the bumbleberry (or really any flavor) pie, a corner piece if youre lucky. That crust is where its at!Love this joint! You will too!
Everything is delicious. Super cute space, friendly staff, and they get their bagels from Jakes in Aurora!
Very quaint and adorable local cafe! Extremely friendly staff, wide selection of coffees, teas, food, and items from local artists for sale! Reasonably priced. Love the ambiance! 4 stars only because theres no wifi
Good coffee variety here. Local shop.
Coffee drinks are solid. Baked goods are a little lacking
Fantastic selection of coffee and drinks. I really enjoyed the coffee and snack I had with it . Staff is very friendly.
Super nice employees. The aroma and ambience invite you in to a quaint country home decor. Home baked treats, vegetarian options, fresh coffee, and hand crafted jewelry. This place is the perfect spot to get fresh treats and relax.
Small, private, quaint. Desserts good
First time here and the gals are super friendly and helpful. A quaint and cozy place to get coffee and a muffin in downtown Oswego. Coffee was delicious and the Carmel muffin and the best Ive ever had. Highly recommend this place and we will return.
I am definitely in favor of supporting the local businesses and this is a great little place to grab a cup of coffee with an egg bake or cookie. I stop by at least once or twice a month.. always good!
Home town feel. Very cozy theyll make whatever you want coffee is great.
Always love getting coffee here! Local small business thats amazing!
A cozy spot to enjoy a coffee with a friend! Both indoor and outdoor seating. Very intimate and warm -- always good service.
Always yummy.I love the cocoa and muffins. But really I could eat everything there. Coffee is to die for. This is a great place too meet up with friends. Its also worth the drive...YUMMMMY!!
I love this place! Great variety of coffees. Staff is pure awesome. Special shout out to Sam, thanks for giving me heads up when Highlander Grog is being brewed.
Very quick and polite staff. Very welcoming decor. Wish the weather wouldve been better so we couldve enjoyed our coffee outside. Will return soon
Amazing coffee. Comfy cozy atmosphere. 100% friendly professional courteous customer service. My go-to place whenever I am in Oswego
Lovely little local coffee shop with local artisan goods for sale.
I stop at the grind every morning, Monday through Friday. All the girls who work there know me by name and start making my drink as soon as they see me walking in. Who wouldnt love that kind of love and service? Greatest coffee shop in the world. Support local business !!!! ✌🏼️💚☕️
Awesome as always
First time here it was exactly what I wanted my Sunday morning to be like. Coffee was great! The place is adorable.
10 time better then the big box coffee and even better baked good to go with it.. get in there and try the Michigan Cherry coffee but hot.. not cold 😉😄
Nice relaxing, small-town, neighborhood feel to this place. Dont let the small size fool you. They have an amazing selection of coffees, teas, ice cream and other goodies. Right by the Fox River!
When I get the chance to get some Coffee, Village Grind is the place in Downtown Oswego. Their Signature Coffees are Fantastic. Highly Recommend it! 😉
Love this place. It’s super cozy, the staff is friendly and my food was wonderful. Great place to stop in Oswego.
So cute and charming, beautiful selection of jewelry etc. and amazing food and coffee and drinks! Cannot find anything better anywhere! Worth the trip!

Good home town experience. Home coming parade, visited the village farmers market. Had a great time overall.
This place is great. Local, friendly, inexpensive. Indoor and outdoor seating right in downtown Oswego. You can also buy just about any decoration in the place. We go every Saturday!
Always friendly always consistent and have gluten free
I ordered Coffee. They said Ok, hold on. I waited. I waited for years. Im still waiting. Coffee... Where are you? Please come back. I love you. Its not the same without you.
Cappuccino Icers are the best. Family who runs the place and the staff are awesome. They know their customers by name and what they like. Sit and enjoy.
Great local spot. Good coffee, customer service, and music selection. Cozy meets comfortable. Great study spot as well.
This coffee shop is great but they don’t offer wifi, so i do not make this my go to spot, starbucks has Wifi, so it has naturally become my go to spot for working on college essays and lab reports.I would probably not recommend this shop to any of my peers from college but i would recommend it to my friends who decided to take a different route in life.
Very good coffee and baked goods. I go weekly.
Good coffee and pastries. No heavy cream in the cafe, but raw sugar is available on request.Mismatched furniture and a bit of an awkward layout are part of the small coffee shop charm. Staff are friendly.
Wide selection of great coffee and tea. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff.
Cozy small-town coffee shop with great coffee and sandwiches!
Great place! Great options for breakfast and lunch with lots of goodies to chose from. Dont forget to try the coffee or tea both are amazing.
