Good place to browse for some books or hobby/geeky merchandises. Its nice that they have a little Starbucks of their own as well. Its too bad they have pretty much discontinued sending out discount coupons to members. In terms of pricing, I can often find better prices on Amazon or other bookstores. Will visit for the experience and niche items.

Barnes and Noble is a great place to buy a high quality variety of books both hardcover and plastic.

They were open and provided cafe services. They had a large 2-story collection of books from many genres. They had a selection of games and activities on the second floor and gifts/presents on the first floor. They also have the standard music section. It wasnt too busy. The employees were very helpful and friendly.

I really did enjoy the whole Barnes & Noble experience but it has changed. Its lost the charm of that book reading experience I am familiar with. There were no chairs and very little help available. The only saving grace was they had one of the books I wanted out of three and a Starbucks drink to revive me from all my searching...Hope the charm is brought back soon, Oak Park Mall store.

Barnes and Noble has easily become my favorite book store over the last few years but I couldnt help but notice that all of the chairs are gone and Im assuming its due to COVID. I used to come in, purchase a book and read it there or even sit down and skim through a book before deciding if I wanted it or not. I dont mind sitting on the floor but it would be nice to have a nice chair by a window to sit at.

Just love books.... service is always superb AND the staff I have come in contact with is always willing to show me something or teach me something I didnt know about how books are placed how I can find a certain genre or author.... I love it!

Great store! I like the size of the two story and how that allows them to have more content. The display books were relevant to current events, pop culture and influential people which was nice to see. Dual access from Oak Park mall and outside.

I love there selection of various kinds of books and young readers and graphic novels. It is the perfect place to go online or in store to find the perfect set of novels for such a book worm like myself!

They have a great selection of books, music and calendars. I love books so I enjoy coming here. There aren’t many book stores left because most people are buying their books online. I recommend coming here and actually buy physical books.

Solid book selection with the Starbucks being open. Comfortable place to browse, read, and chat. Staff is both kind and relatable being open to conversation and recommendations.Masks not required but is recommended.

My 10 year old son was wanting an anime book that he had heard his older cousins talking about. I realized it wasn’t age appropriate for him. We were leaving when I figured I’d ask the front counter if they had any books that were more age appropriate. We met Taylor upstairs and she went above and beyond to find him a book that he would like. She asked questions as what he liked and she found him an age appropriate book with a sports theme like he asked. She definitely brought him out of his “defeated/crushed” stage he was in since I turned down the first books he had chosen. Again, appreciate your team!

We love visitng this B&N, when were in the area. Each year, on both my daughters birthday, we travel to this location to get their Kids Club 🎂 Cupcake. On our last visit, we encountered the absolute SWEETEST employee. She was so helpful, going above & beyond to ensure we had a great experience. The cafe employees are always so nice as well.

This is the most beautiful Barnes and Noble I have ever been in. Tons of stuff to look at and buy. I could spend hours here, but my wallet cant handle it.

One rude employee at this location ruined what should have been a fun time and experience for me and my kids. The result is my decision to never shop at this store again. I took time and effort out of my day to drive to hete and have a fun with my kids and show them that we support the local stores. I have decided to just buy on Amazon or the web page. We go to the mall all the time but I will not shop here or buy coffee here when we are at the mall.

Barnes and Noble is the best place to be when looking for a good book read on a rainy or snowy day! I enjoy Dean Koontz, or Stephen King, or any other good horror authors! Barnes and Noble will definitely keep you up to date on any new additions to any genre of books! Make a trip there!! Its worth it!! Especially, if you have children and grandchildren!

I went in looking for a book that was just released. I did not know that. The lady at the customer service desk asked me to wait a few minutes and she would be back as soon as possible. About 4 minutes she came back with the book I was there to buy. She apologized and said it just came in today and she had to go to the back and find the box it was in. WOW!! Very happy. I thanked her. Great service.

One of the best places to stop by when you go to Oak Park Mall. They have a massive selection with every category you can think of. They even have their own coffee shop inside the store! I always love looking at their games and puzzles along with their extensive collection of fiction and travel books. You cant beat getting a taste of a bookstore when looking what to read next.

I was able to find classic books that I believe my Dad will enjoy reading again. Just wish they had a large print section. They may have, but I could not find it.

So, 2 days till Christmas. Office party is tomorrow. Yeah, Im a last-minute kind of shopper.I made a plan to get old movies for my employees, but failed to anticipate the lack of movie selection at every other store.I get to this ENORMOUS bookstore, that I could literally spend hours in, and immediately find ALL the old movies I was hunting down!! Wonderful selection of movies, CDs, a good selection of vinyl, 2 stories of books that are fairly easy to navigate, a childrens book/toy area that is a bit removed (as a parent of 3, Im always trying to see where my kids can be kids without being overly intrusive) and plenty of friendly staff to make finding what you need quick and painless.They also have a Starbucks cafe in-store that, to be honest, is a fair sight better than some of the stand-alone Starbucks stores as it has more than 4 seats.Overall, I was super happy I came here, got my very-last-minute shopping done, got a coffee, was left alone when it was clear I didnt need help and approached by friendly staff when I obviously looked lost.

An employee helped me quickly locate the paperback book I needed and also let me know it is published in a board book format. I was able to put both formats on reserve for a few days to accommodate my hectic schedule. Thanks everyone!

Great place, lots of selection. However, their movie choices consist of 95% DVD, a dead format, but they are stickered at 4K blu-ray prices. The first floor is also nearly 20% religious literature or bibles. They have 8 entire books on agnosticism and atheism.

I was given a 50 dollar gift card for christmas to the oak park barnes& noble so I decided to stop in on a nice day to look around my girlfriend and I noticed they had taken out all the bench and chairs by the magazine rack I decided to check out the magazines but with no place to sit by the coffee shop and magazine rack we decided to sit on the window ledge which was not marked by any sign as no place to sit but was rudely asked to not sit on the window ledge but to sit in a over crowed coffee sitting area with no seats open to sit at we looked around and noticed there were no tables or chairs where there used to be plenty if you dont want people sitting on the window ledge I suggest you put more tables near by or just move magazine rack back by the books section not by the coffee shop where there is no place to sit when looking at magazines I was going to look around further in the book section after I was done looking at my magazine but was so up set by the rude gesture I just walked out of the store feeling put off to look at anything more and dont think I will be back to spend my 50 dollar gift card so you just lost a 50 dollar customer hope you can afford to be rude to a paying customer and unfortunately i didnt get a chance to get the employee name of the man picking through the magazine rack for certain magazines with his i.d badge around his neck but he just turned away 50 dollar gift card customer 😐😐😐😐

One of the workers was extremely rude and made this older gentleman move from the spot he was sitting end told him to “go to the cafe” the guy was just sitting by himself by a window minding his own business and the associate was just plain rude. Didn’t even ask nicely just forced the poor guy.

This place is always buzzing with energy and is, for certain, the heart of Oak Park Mall. Wonderful customer service and a lovely selection of items for just about anybody. Children’s toys, collectibles, stocking stuffers and great coffee and pastries.

3 levels of books, movies, and games with a starbucks and a feeling of bliss located at the plaza, which happens to be one of the best ambiance spots in KC. Next door is McCormick and Schmidts which is a high class restaurant where you can get chocolate bags and the best fresh caught fish. All this in walking distance to the Cheesecake factory.

Although Ive been to many locations over the years, and I have yet to actually buy a modern electronic reading device... I still remember the days of there being smaller retail stores. Even in the days of Amazon and online shopping in general, this has not stopped me from braving the mall type of shopping for a great read.It has all of the amenities you might like in a real bookstore, namely the ability to browse and maybe meet a person who recommends a certain book or publication.I called ahead and found a gem that typically would not be available at stores. The clerk was more than helpful and greeted me at the register with my book upon arrival. I even found another title after browsing the section she took me to in which she had found my query.Clean, well kept, childrens section that brought even a mature reader like myself a smile. If you want it, they have or can get it. Even an author was holding some type of book event when I was in the store.I felt like my trip was more than satisfying! 📖❤

Always good to see brick and mortar book stores. Barnes and Nobles are as good as a real book store gets. They are large and flashy, very good places to encourage a child to read. This one has a kids reading club with a little stage and everything. My son loves it. Hopefully stores like this can survive because the provide a lot more than just a ace to buy stuff.

This place makes books a big deal for some reason I think they have something they like about books because it will be a dying print very soon but they dont care because books will always be the Supreme Being of learning. Because you cant get the satisfaction of a fresh new book from one of those Kindle fire iPad knockoff devices.

My children and I absolutely love it. We spend several hours there every time.
