Elite used to be a great place to shop and find deals, but everything is WAY overpriced now. Every time I think about buying a comic there, I wait and see it for 25% of the price somewhere else. The customer service is just bad. They dont seem interested in helping whatsoever. Elite feels like giving money to a soulless corporation instead of helping a small comic shop owner. I would start going here again if they would start caring again.

My local comic shop has been finally driven out of business over last year by Jackson County COVID rules so this was my first visit to Elite.Elite took over my weekly pull sheet duties and had a small pile of new books for me today. Staff greeted and made me welcome as one of their new regulars. Lots of new comics and graphic novels in stock. A nice large variety of pop culture merchandise is in stock and they can special order just about anything else you might want

I could tell from the moment I walked in whoever owns this place is a real comic book connoisseur. This place is packed wall to wall with Comics and everything related to the comic world... and that is the downside. Its so much you have a hard time finding anything. A bit disorganized and cluttered. Definitely could use a spot twice as big for everything they try to jam in there.I would imagine there doin the best they can with what they got but its not very customer usable. 😕

This was our first trip to a comic bookstore. The staff was absolutely wonderful and patient with my 10yo son. Answering his questions and showing him and his friend around. We will be back!

This store is like a hoarders paradise. No rhyme or reason to it. Novelty items from pop culture, candy, and a whole lot of stuff you dont need.

Im new to the area and it was my first and last time in this comic shop. They had two recently released non incentive/ratio comics which were listed above cover price. One was double the other was marked at $100 for a 3 or 4 dollar comic. Any comic book store doing this will always loose my business. Sell it on Feebay if you want to scalp new releases. Furthermore the store was cluttered and didnt have the back stock Ive come to expect in a comic book store.

Elite is my favorite comic shop in the area. They have an incredible selection of everything (current, back, trades, statues, list goes on). Everyone who works there is funny and nice. William is an incredible person. He has incredible events and gives back to the community (thousands of dollars yearly for Childrens Mercy). Stop in and get some great stuff and give to great organizations! Love this place!

I came here on a Saturday afternoon and for a small store it did not seem overly crowded. I just started getting into Dark Horse Comics and told the clerk to point me in the right direction. He did more than that- he walked me around the store and gave me intense details of the books he was recommending. I didnt find what I was looking for that day but I will be back.They have tons of comics, graphic novels and figurines. For a such a small place they seem to have most everything organized well

Good selection but place is kind of a mess. Comics stacked over different titles on the wall so you have to thumb through everything, and new releases laying all over the counters. Went there for the first time and asked if they had a couple I was looking for and they were too lazy to get up and help me. If we have it, its on the wall. Wow, thanks. This shop is fine if you live nearby, but there are better places with more helpful employees.

Fantastic shop. Wall to wall comics, great selection. Tons of stuff besides comics as well. The vibe was perfect, exactly what I was looking for. An owner that was very chill and willing to talk with the customers about their fandoms and favorites. I would recommend it for sure.

A very nice store that caters to Marvel and DC fans. You’ll find weekly releases, back issues as well as statues and figurines. No Manga but the conversations here are absolutely scintillating!

Excellent shop. Mostly do trade collecting these days, but stopped in for help with a project. Even though the owner was busy getting the Wednesday issues unboxed, he was eager to help, and super friendly. Would suggest it for any comic fan. New or old. Huge selection in the shop.

Sigh thought this place would be good. Ordered a comic and never heard back even after multiple attempts. Service isnt that good, along with the person at the front desk constantly bashing people over politics and sexist comments. Customers deserve better respect. Rather buy from amazon.

Okay so my comic book loving sons rave about Elite Comics so I stopped in to check it out. First of all what a great owner and staff. They store is full of great energy and an awesome selection of comics. Definitely Johnson County s top destination if you are a comics lover. 5 Stars!

Last remaining comic shop in the JoCo area I will probably shop at. The owner is a great guy and he runs a great shop. There is absolutely no reason to even check out the other few remaining stores in KC, when there is a place like this still around to continue supporting.Im just getting back into comics after too long of a wait now. Elite made it SUPER easy to find precisely what I wanted, all in one stop. I love this store so much, that I actually expanded my budget a little bit just to have even more reasons to keep going there. :)

Tremendous selection of comics and graphic novels, comic related items, and so much more. They do a lot of fundraisers for charity too; they constantly give back and help the community. The service is great and friendly. They definitely love their customers. Its one of the best comic stores around period.

I love coming in here. William (the owner), is a great guy, extremely knowledgeable about comics and the industry, and he even employs some local artists and writers. He has a huge selection of new issues, from both major and indie publishers, and an extensive back issue and trade selection as well. There is also some pretty cool comic related merchandise around the store. Great environment, well kept (sometimes cluttered, but that speaks to how much stock he has), and just all around a great store. I cant speak highly enough about this place!

Best comic shop in the metro hands down. They have the largest selection of back issues Ive ever seen in this area. They always have bags, boards, and boxes in stock. And the owner is a awesome dude.

One of if not the best comic book shop the greater Kansas City area. They have everything you want and more. A good place to just talk comics with with your fellow Comic book nerds.

Visited here for Free Comic Book Day, and I gotta say, they handled it very well even with such a large crowd. The folks there are nice, and the inside itself is well kept and very organized. Would definitely go here again to buy comics.

I was a bit intimidated upon entering because you literally step into a library of comics. I didnt know where to start. You will quickly be put at ease by the owner and regulars who are always engaged in quirky entertaining conversations. They were quick to offer suggestions based off of my interests. I have quickly become a fan of a few new series. They also throw parties and have artists visit on a regular basis. Definitely worth a visit.

This place is great. They have a good stock of current comics and get more new comics and variant covers weekly than any other KC store, (that I have been too). They also get all the latest figures and statues to add to your collection as well. They are the only store I find the Aspen publisher titles.

If you can get a kolache then do it. Pumpkins and espresso muffins are always a win. And the lattes are on point

Honestly my first comic book store, my daughter is a Harley Quinn fan and we swung in to grab her a couple! Busy place had a sidewalk sale with some artist present. Neat place!

I come here every Wednesday and will continue to come every Wednesday. These guys are super nice and really seem like they know what theyre talking about. These guys read everything, so if you have any questions, they can answer them with honesty. My only complaint is that some things are a little disorganized. For example, some of the boxes laying around have variants, while some have surplus, and its a little hard to determine which is which.

The shop was overall very organized and comics were fairly easy to find. The metal drawers are great for storage and organization. When I walked in there were two men behind the counter watching a movie on the TV and two others putting comics away. The two men were more worried about missing the movie than a simple greeting, while the female worker did say hello. Walking around was easy because things were put away neatly, though they didnt have too many exciting comics other than the usual New Mutants and ASM comics. When I asked about a few statues behind the counter, the female was sort of helpful when I asked if they were for sale saying she thought they were and motioned to the two men watching the movie. When asking them about the statues, they said yeah Im pretty sure theyre on hold but Im not sure, so they could be and went right back to the movie. Glad to know the movie is more important than a customer about to drop $300 on these statues.

This store is great. Im very new to collecting comics but this store seems to have a very large and varied selection and staff is always very friendly and helpful. Definitely a customer for life!

New to the area. Went for May 5th FREE COMIC BOOK DAY and staff was very friendly. Could maybe have had a sign indicating where to pick up free comics so that customers in line were not picking up the wrong copies. Overall, great experience and friendly staff. Would recommend to others. Will be my new comic book shop!

I came on my day off wanting to look for variants, i was not greeted as the man was on his phone, when he finally made time for me he said not to be an a hole but I dont want you looking through the boxes because some comics arent put away on display yet as if I was some little grubby crook who would do something! Im offended and in disbelief as he practically shooed me out of his store... I gave him 2 stars because I admit my fault for coming a day after comic con but regardless this is not a great way to greet a new customer.
