Good place for indian grocery

Pricing is better than other grocery stores in area. They also have a great restaurant connecting the grocery store.

The restaurant attached is the best part. I wouldnt say this store has that great of options, decent, but not noteworthy. The restaurant however has abundant options for many appetites at reasonable prices and each so fresh and delicious!

We absolutely like everything about this store. The Indian products ranging from soaps to oils to pickles to icecreams to produce to every possible food product. The cafe- Desibites, food is very tasty, we tried dahipuri and vada pav today and the flavors took me back to my hostel days in India. The front desk person (I complimented on food) is very polite. All in all, wonderful experience.

Located in the heart of “new” Overland Park, KC India Mart is an efficient, well-stocked store for reasonably-priced groceries, fresh produce, frozen and ready-to-eat meals and more. Now, even a tempting chaat corner! A successfully run business, crowded most of the times with parking spots at the strip mall taken up by shoppers in-and-out of the store. We most love their fresh produce, tea and other wide range of groceries right from India and their friendly staff at the checkout counter.

This location was very cleaned and organized. Produce seemed very fresh. There were lot of delicious and hot snacks as well.

My favorite Indian store here in KC. Their store is very clean. Veggies are so fresh and clean, spices are nicely organized.. even has a nice sweets and tea selections. They have the best samosas sold right behind the cashier counter.

We are not from Kansas, HENCE SAW THE PICS AND FELT ITS A NICE PLACE.Unfortunately, the samosas and pastries we ordered were not fresh.We were going to Missouri and had to spent rest of the trip in pain.wont recommend at all.

Long wait times in line, the employees dont care about customer service. Definitely a no go on weekends unless you wanna spend 20 min in line for checkout. The selection of commodities is really good here though.

Dont go by the photos, taste the food and decide for yourself. The prices are mostly wrong! You need to fix your prices a lot of the items rang up wrong. I won’t be returning.

The only big indian store in kansas. Lacks SWAD, DEEP lentils and stuff. Still a lot of area to grow. They have good take out samosas. I like the stuffing they have for kachoris, but their kachoris somehow have so much frying oil filled inside that ruins the taste.

Looking for Indian spices, masalas and anything Indian stuff...this is the place! Customer service can be improved

The grocery itself is fine, fairly standard for what it is. The service is good, and the staff are very niceThe best part though, is definitely the snacks--we make sure to get Samosas every time we shop here because theyre fantastic and cheap (the veggie samosas are $1, and so delicious!)

BEWARE: THIS STORE SELLS A LOT OF EXPIRED PRODUCTS AND I HAVE REGISTERED A FORMAL COMPLAINT WITH FDA AGAINST THIS STORE.. I had made a purchase 2-3 weeks back and found lots of expired products and when i went back to return it the owner/manager pretended as if they did not sell the product. I called FDA and they told me to submit a formal complaint. So i submitted the complaint with all evidence like receipt, date of purchase, pics of expired products etc. The FDA will take a strict action against them. The owner/manager and even some staff are very arrogant because they think that irrespective of their behavior the customers will continue visiting them but this is gonna change soon.

Good place to find Indian groceries you need

We usually visit this place for groceries because this is only grocery store nearby.stock of veggies are good and when come to snacks like murmura ladoos I tried it but they didn’t taste fresh, I felt I wasted money buying that and throwing in trash.From then I stopped buying those type of snacks and apart from that everything is fine

THEY ARE EXPERT IN SELLING EXPIRED PRODUCTS AND THEY NEVER ACCEPT THAT THEY SOLD THE EXPIRED PRODUCT WHEN YOU GO TO RETURN IT. Many 5 star reviews seen here are fake reviews posted by the management. Dont go to this store there are many better options available nearby.

Best prices and love their fresh samosas

Be aware they don’t refund or exchange any products! While others stores do it, they don’t.We did not have a good experience at this store. Staff seemed to be in a hurry, they rushed us at the cashier. When I asked about a pastry the person told me the name in their language knowing I am not from India. Anyway, we may not come back.

The samosas are so fresh and full of flavor, also their cakes are delicious as well. This store also offers a variety of products.

Giving their best even during the crisis times to serve the community with the required groceries and all vegetables and Indian spices and rice was impressive. Good curb side pick up procedures followed and improved customer support though it was a completely new approach to handle the current vivid situations. Keep supporting the community.Also helping the community students with food and groceries is much appreciable.

Really liked this Indian grocery store. Looked upscale and in a very safe neighborhood.Their store was extremely clean, very well organized and well stocked with lots of fruits, vegetables, dairy, indian groceries, and above all indian snacks - both pre packaged and fresh ones. They had varieties of samosas, frssht pineapple and black forest cake and they smelled yummy.One of the few stores where I found freshly made dosa batter, adai and pesarattu batter - catering to South Indians. Going to trybadai batter tonight.They are pretty strict about allowing only 10 people at a time with mask. They said gloves are mandatory but didnt enforce that - it will be hard. Had to wait a few minutes to enter the store on a week day afternoon but not too long a wait.

Recent experience with KC India Mart was really pathetic.We have been shopping with this store quite a long time and recently we bought a packet of sweet. While eating we felt the sweets were stinking and had some unusual taste though it was not expired.We got back to the store the next day with the packet and informed the manager about the inconvenience.He assured to get back after checking with his supplier that what is wrong.But surprisingly one week passed but did not receive any call from him.When we went to the store again checked with his employer and called the manager again he promised to call back within an hour but did not update anything.Finally, when I called him after few days to get the update he started misbehaving though it was totally his fault not to update the customer.I would recommend to buy things carefully because if anything turns out to be bad, they are not going to take any step regarding that.

I really appreciate the move, curb side pick up. But you are charging 5$ for this service. past few years you earned a good reputation for food and service. I am guessing made a lot of money too. Personally I do not mind paying the fees, but there are a lot of students and daily wage workers in the community. In this tough time they can’t afford to lose more. Who knows what’s about to come. Nice place for Indian groceries . They offer deliveries for 5$.

Decent maintenance but sells some old (expired/almost expired) snacks. To be specific, I bought ‘Alayam ellu muruku’ snack (infront of the main register) and the taste is rancid and near expiry. Double check expiry dates of snacks and avoid ‘Alayam’ brand unless you like rancid snacks.

This place is right next to an Indian Cafe and I often come here and in here for samosas, which are excellent but a littlon the spicy side. It also has an excellent selection of groceries from India that you cant find anywhere else. It also has a nice selection of frozen meals. Has lots of rice. Add lots of Indian spices. And the staff is very nice.

I agree that this place has a wide variety of Indian groceries,we never get otherwise in Kansas, but that doesnt mean the cashier (not other employees) can be rude and mean to customers. A price marked down item when billed was showing up original price and when this was pointed out to him, how can he criticize the customer, how come a 1.5$ difference doesnt mean anything. Of my 128$ bill amount, dont I have a right to speak up for my 1.5$?? More than the dollars, the attitude of that particular employee made this store my least favorite. Iam never stepping in this store again...

I want to appreciate the Entire KC India Mart Team for their wonderful support and hard work to make this curbside pickup. This is very easy for us to order and follow-up call to us from KC India Mart Team to update the Pickup Time. I have been getting all the groceries on the promised time. Pickup time is well planned to have very minimal persons to avoid crowd for our safety. All the times, I saw maximum of 2 to 3 persons on the pickup at varies pickup time though. Vegetables are fresh. Customer support experience is awesome. All the efforts on giving us the updates through Facebook and WhatsApp Group are much appreciated. Keep up your good works!!!. Online ordering and curbside pickup has been very helpful. They have been very quick in completing the order. The first week during the lockdown, it took 2 to 3 days, however, last week, I was notified by a call within a few hours that the order was ready. After arriving at the store, hardly waited 5 to 10 minutes for my order to be ready and picked up. Contact-free and the people working in the store were wearing masks and gloves to keep everyone safe. There was no charge for the curbside pickup service. Thank you KCImart for your service during these critical times.

If youre vegetarian and this is the best place to shop your groceries and frozen food. Many of my desi friends dont like to buy meats here, I dont eat and I dont care.

Personally I have very bad experience with KC mart.They sold a 1 year old expire product (Badsha Meat Masala) to us and When I called at store and talked to manager, he told me that he didnt sell that product and told me that you must got from other place. but I have every proof like bill, product number and products itself. I ran to the store and even they are pretending that they did not sell that product to us. I will not say that store sells all expire products but the way they handle their mistake/customer complain is disaster.Dont expect too high from them after you buy products with them. They are taking full advantage of online pick up I guess as a customer we didn’t get enough time to check the products.attached proof:

This is the only best store in town for Indian grocery and vegetables, it keeps fresh vegetables all the time and high quality fresh food/snacks, 100% trustworthy.I prefer only this place since 7 years and I never get any single complaint.

Like all Indian Grocey Stores, the place is small and very tight corners to move around, that was not the main issue, it was very difficult to find the products availability, not clearly marked where which items are stored, may be the small place does not allow, but this is what i noticed and was a little pain while shopping

It has a decent selection of Indian groceries. The fresh samosas are really good. They also have fresh homemade chapatis near the counter. They have other fresh Indian snacks available to eat in store too. The variety of groceries could be a lot better, as they only have a few brands. The restocking of out of stock things takes bit longer than usual.

We live in a very small town and have to often come to KC to get grocery, this is the first time we tried this place and I must say we were not disappointed at all. I almost got everything I was looking for. We also ate at their snacks counter and everything we ordered tasted amazing. The guy and the lady working behind the counter were very very hardworking. Thankyou for feeding us nice fresh food. We would surly start getting our grocery from this place now.

KC India mart has a vast range of Indian items. I would highly recommend the dal wada and hot samosas they sell. If you are that one desi who craves alphonso mangoes, KC India carries the original Vadilal Alphonso mangoes. Also try their curry leaves packet for 0.99c. However, I have found the cilantro bunches to be small and many a times, there are just stems in the middle of the bunch. Take care to see that youre not paying for cilantro stems.

Hardly they smile. Should the customers not expect a friendly smile from them? Quality of the chicken was very poor. However all other things are good. We go to that place to get the essences of the Indian subcontinent.

Online ordering service is the worst I have ever seen.U Wait entire day and they abruptly close taking online order.Grocery is an essential business, where there are other stores open they closed their store in the name of online order which is a joke....In this critical situation going on .. it’s very unprofessional. As a customer I’m frustrated.

Out of all the Indian grocery stores in and around Overland Park this is the best when it comes to freshness and reliability. This is because stuff goes off the shelf in no time. They are competitive when it comes to cost compared to other India grocery stores around. They also have a small eatery inside of quick Indian snacks. The only Achilles heel they have is th slow checkout process which consumes most of the time in Store and causes quite a bit of frustration and hence falls short of a 5 star. I just hope they fix this and make the end to end experience a smooth one.

Always lively. Some of the staff is uber helpful and create exceptional customer service experience. They have a wide variety of prepared foods and of late are experimenting with restaurant style food. Even though i am not a huge fan of the restaurant food they have, there is always a line. Samosas and Jalebi is wonderful. Highly recommended to shop here and get some fabulous prepared food as well.

Probably the best Indian grocery store in KC. They have amazing fresh produce, and fresh chicken and goat meat. Variety of items is also really good. Unlike other Indian strores, products here are within their shelf life.

Was visiting KC and went to this store. Could find almost everything. They also have different kinds of chat available over there. Tried a few and liked all of them except the pani puri which was bad. The place was neatly organized and clean. I loved their trolleys which were extremely light and easy to move around.
