I enjoy stopping in when Im on this side of town. Theyve been here awhile, have a good selection that includes some things I cant get, but also all the standard beer (local and regional micro/breweries - MO, IA, NE, etc.), wine and spirits.

MDL was clean, staff was friendly and helpful, and they had a very large variety. The only constructive criticism I could offer is more detailed signage in the aisles to help less knowledgeable shoppers like myself find their way easier to what they are looking for.

I randomly stopped in over my lunch hour to see if they had the Sutter Home Sauvignon Blac (my wifes favorite). Lots of stores carry Sutter Home just not the Sauvignon Blanc for some reason. The associate who helped me knew exactly what I was asking for and where it was. I will definitely be back. Thank you!

Great selection of wines!

Sometimes an unkind and rude staff. I have occasionally received really dreadful service. One time my dad and I went to pick up a bottle of wine and my dad asked one of the employees where we could find the wine, as we had never been to the store. The guy stares at us, then stares over in the general direction of the wine racks, and points his finger without saying anything. Oh, and they stare at you as you enter the store and they mock you for your footwear if they dont approve.

MDL is THE wine & Spirit store in Overland Park. Big enough to have a huge selection yet it feels like your neighborhood market where you have the friendliest help and a smile. Just did a curbside pick up. Took my order over phone...gave credit card # and delivered to trunk of car. Peace of mind with the virus & wine too! Thank you. Mark & Alexis

If you are looking for wine in Johnson County, this is the place to go. Period, dot, end.Their selection is vast, well-curated, and accessible. For the higher-end wines, they have a climate controlled “cellar,” which is fantastic (even though I’ve never purchased one of these wines).Staff is super friendly – I met and spoke with their managing partner last Friday, and he happily spent close to 30 minutes just talking about wine and the wine business. Clearly very knowledgeable, and eager to talk about wine with those interested.The prices are also the best in Johnson County. I’ve never seen a wine they carry at another retailer for a lower price.From the selection, the prices, to the friendly staff, MDL is the place to go in Johnson County if you are looking for the best value for your dollar when purchasing wine.

This place has EVERYTHING, from wine to whiskey to bourbon to whatever your little heart desires. Came in a hour before closing and asked the guy at the counter where a particular spirit was. I walked around for 15 minutes which I thought was the right section. Once asking him he took me to the exact spot. Much love for this place. Thank you and will refer my friends to you and personally be back.

My favorite thing about MDL is their wine section where they keep high rated 90+ point wines for $9-$12. They have a great variety, but their lower priced good wine section sets them apart from the rest of town.Theyre also one of the better places in town for their beer selection and the prices are fair.

I will never go there again. The female cashier seemed drunk, and aggressively put the receipt in my husbands hand. She was so incredibly snobby from the get. She barely said hello. When we asked for help finding an item, she became very aggravated. I have never encountered such rude service in all my life. I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere where they treat ALL their customers with respect. We feel discriminated.

Large selection on high and medium end wine. They have a wine reserve room with some really good stuff. Very high end spirits in the $200+ range have very good prices. Comparable to any other place I have ever been to. The only downside is they have a very time selection of mini bottles for sale and what they do have is low end stuff which is a shame as I like to try some of the more expensive things I buy in the mini form before I commit to a full bottle.

I almost exclusively shop here for their excellent wine selection and fair prices. With several cashiers on duty, its easy to get help finding things and there is rarely a wait to check out. I normally buy wine and whiskey here because there are so many options. Free tastings on weekends.

There is a respectable selection of craft beers in the fridge and on the shelf. However, the MDL on 95th is not short on space. They could devote more real estate to craft beers. I wish they had a larger selection of Stone and Lagunitas. These breweries release a lot of limited release beers. It would be nice if I knew I had a chance of finding them at MDL.

Helpful staff. Often they host wine tasting events and other informative information about the wines and other alcohols. Never had to wait in line for more then 2 minutes since they are well staffed and quick to open more registers.

The guys and gals of MDL Wine & Spirts are wonderful. Their customer service goes above and beyond any other spirts store in the area. Terrible customer service. No business integrity.I walked into this store for the first time and inquired about some higher end bottles. The sales guy checked the prices on the internet (REALLY?) and changed the prices in the system in front of my eyes (REALLY!). Not only would he not honor the initial prices, he later referred me as a terrible customer because Im NOT A GOOD PAYING customer.Shoppers be aware and be ready to become a GOOD PAYING CUSTOMER.

I was able to select from an exceptional variety of deleterious beverages. After doing so, I traded a friendly woman near the door a fair amount of US currency, and in return she allowed me to take them home. I dont know what more you could really ask for out of such an establishment.
