This is the best place EVER! It has so many choices of bags, luggages, and an assortment of just cool stuff!! The minute I walked in, I was totally obsessed - The ladies who work there were so wonderful..I am so happy with my unique purchases! It was such a positive, fun, joyful experience and I plan on making many future trips!!
The staff is very knowledgable and fully willing to help you find what you are looking for and need. They go above and beyond to help fit the bag to your need and if not inventory, get it ordered and to the store as soon as possible. They have very good quality merchandise from multiple vendors and sale for a reasonable market prices. They have a large selection of accessories also.
Updated review: I am happy that B&B reached out after I left a frustrated review a couple days ago - the general manager out of the prairie village is store is who I will be working with for any future bag inquiries or dilemmas!
This place is, and I cannot stress this enough, FANTASTIC. I truly received the best customer service I have ever experienced in my life from MARISSA (all caps because again, i cannot praise this store, and her, enough). Marissa was attentive, patient, accommodating, polite, friendly, easy to talk to, and so incredibly knowledgeable. She asked me tons of questions to truly get a feel for what I needed out of a suitcase and guided me in the exact right direction. I also love that this is a local KC business (which is actually celebrating its 40th year anniversary this weekend)!! The Overland Park location has everything you could ever need as a hardcore traveler, either for work or for pleasure.There are lots of newer upscale luggage retailers online, but I hate that i cant actually feel/see/test their products before sinking 400+ dollars into them and this store completely negated that issue for me. They offer the same quality of luggage, at about the same prices, but you can actually get a feel for what youre buying before you invest. Away and Nomatic LOOK nice, but how can you tell if they actually are? After buying from Bag and Baggage, I know 100% without a doubt that i bought a quality piece of luggage that will last, and even if something does go wrong, the store offers all sorts of repair services and other ways to make sure you are taken care of as well as your luggage.Seriously people, this store is AMAZING. Please, if youre in the KC area, consider shopping locally with them. Especially if youre in the market for luggage right now as obviously, Covid has not been great for them and I want them to be around for another 40 years!! I promise you wont regret it! The service here is extraordinary!! Marissa and the entire staff were so helpful with my baggage repair. It took less than a week to get my suitcase fixed...at no cost! I will definitely be coming back here for all my traveling needs.
Its so easy to order everything online these days, but Im so glad I opted to shop local on this one! There are so many bags out there and its hard to tell which one is the best choice. The staff here was very knowledgable and pointed out things I wouldnt have known buying online. For example the bags I purchase have a life time warranty...if they get damaged, I just drop them off at Bag & Baggage and they will handle the process of getting it repaired for me! They pointed out features that different bags have that will make them easier to use. They didnt have the color that I wanted so they ordered it in for me. They even set the locks before I left the store.

While in Arizona this winter my wife saw a Walleroo hat that she really liked but didnt buy. When we came back to the KC area we looked it up online and considered just buying it from the manufacturer and having it shipped to us. But considering the pandemic and the struggles to survive that our local merchants are enduring I decided to go to Bag and Baggage to support our local stores...Jeff Bezos has quite enough money, I will buy local and support my neighbors! My shopping experience was first rate, the pricing was fair and reasonable, and I genuinely felt valued as a customer. Marissa even ordered two hats just to make sure that she got us the exact right color (which she did), she is awesome. She loves the Walleroo hat and shes beautiful in it!

It was my first trip to Europe and I asked what I needed to be able to plug in my electronics and was shown an adapter. I purchased 2 but they didnt work for me. I went to return the unused adapters and was told that they had to be returned within 10 days of purchase. I was gone 11 days!My family and I have trusted and depended on Bag & Baggage for years but their customer service is now terrible. Those adapters were $54 each.
Bianca was very helpful today in finding just the right bag for my daughter! She spent time discussing the features of the luggage, helped with some conflicting pricing info. and was all around a pleasure to shop with. We were just pricing some luggage but will go back on payday to seal the deal.
Right now Im less than satisfied. The good news is I have a TravelPro bag that gets me through most travel. However, 3 weeks ago I took my Tumi bag in for a new zipper pull. That bag accommodates suits, and is needed for an upcoming trip. There was no communication on the delay - I had to call (repeatedly) before getting someone in the repair area at Prairie Village who could tell me what was going on. Im with other reviewers here - Ive seen a decline in service from this location over the last few years. It previously was my go-to luggage and travel accessories location; not so anymore. I bought the Tumi bag there, thus thought it the right location for the repair.
