Michael and Hometown Auto Repair provides all the mechanic work for our company Infinity Security. He maintains our fleet of cars and also I take my band vehicle and my personal vehicles to him. I have used Hometown Auto Repair for every vehicle need for the past 5 years and have never had a single complaint. Michael is not only a genius diagnostician, but he is one of the kindest and best people I have ever met. He has helped me out a thousand times and saved our company tons of money and headaches by diagnosing exactly what our vehicles need instead of trying to make the most money possible like most vehicle repair shops. He is legitimately an honest mechanic and I trust him as a vendor that we use, but much more importantly I trust him as a good person who always does the right thing. I tell everyone I know about him, because I know I am sending them to someone who is highly intelligent and will treat people right and take care of them.

Put a new motor in my truck. Communication was great and didnt have to do a whole lot with the warranty company as the owner did it for me. Highly recommend!

I do mostly my own repairs but used this place a few times for jobs I haven’t wanted to do and it seemed fine. Recently I asked for a quote for something because I didn’t want to crawl around under the car in the heat. Firstly just getting a quote even on small jobs requires leaving the car there for a whole day so that’s a hassle then they wanted over $700. I did the work myself in less than couple of hours with $20 part (OEM part).Now a few weeks on, my engine light is on for the same thing I paid them $2,000 for (timing chain) less than 30,000 miles ago.Enough said!EditNow the guy calls me in a very irate manner. Doesn’t even want to listen to what I have to say, let alone, resolve anything. Doesn’t give me that professional feeling.

Michael really took care of our car. He gave us a reasonable quote and (lucky) came in just a bit under the budget. Great communication. Would definitely trust him with my car again.

I have been taking my vehicles to hometown auto for the last 3-4 years and they never disappoint. Hometown Auto is an amazing place! My car had been making a werid noise and i took to two other places that couldnt find the problem. I brought it to hometown and they found the problem fuxed . Honest, fast and cost efficient. The people here are kind courteous, and very good at what they do. The thing I appreciated the most was the honesty. There check is thorough, and the mechanics will go over every problem they found and tell you how urgent they think it is. I even asked about doing something I thought needed to be done, instead of taking my money and doing it they let me know that it wasnt necessary. You cant beat an honest and reliable mechanic, I will bring all my vehicles now from now on. And I suggest that you do too.

Window wouldnt roll up and its a cold-rainy weekend. They told me to come right in and they would either fix it or at least get it secured depending on the situation inside the panels/truck, cost and what I wanted to do. I thought that was very respectful and thoughtful! They were great!

The most frustrating experience ever on two separate occasions with two difference vehicles.

They were very honest when I brought my Pilot in and referred me to Don Carlton Honda for a warranty extension issue. While we had used them before in the past for repairs we will definitely be back because of their honesty.

I had them put a Jasper engine in my econoline 250 work van. They are the type of hometown business you want to deal with. Very professional.

Good and honest mechanic. I had some torque member bolts on my brake system I was unable to bust loose on my own so I took it in. They were able to get it squared away at a very reasonable labor cost. Ill be taking my vehicle back to them to get a serpentine belt replaced.

Excellent service. Great price. Staff seems very friendly. Place is always busy so it might take a few days to get you in, but you are gonna get an honest quote. Hometown is a gem and easily the top shop in town.

Hometown repair would put his work on my car but it was way half-done job. Hometown Repair didnt fix my car window properly .when I asked Howntown Repair to fix it again the owner snap at me and said Im not going to keep fixing window over again Hometown repair also change my timer belt as well . I also had a problem with that . I took it to a different mechanic and told me that.. the bolts on my timer belt were loose and my window brackets were out of place and lose.. I never have been back there again and will .

In and out. Didnt even have an appointment. I just went to check prices and make one and he went ahead and looked at my car. Reasonably priced! Very knowledgeable!

Update: Was contacted by the owner, and spoke about the car. They told me they did test the battery and at the time it tested fine. Luckily they did refund me partially for the testing done. Nice people.Had issues with my car starting and dying while I was driving. Took my car here, they didn’t even test the battery, which I was worried was causing the problem, they just used the code reader and fixed that unrelated issue for about $300 without doing the proper testing to figure out the problem. Continued having the same problem until my car died and wouldn’t start up less than a week later. Took it to Christian brother auto and the first thing they did was test the battery and had it back in under 8 hours! No issues since! Really disappointed with this place and the quality of service I received.

Guy was nice and his wife too, but some daggers behind those smiles. Wanted to charge me around 460 dollars for a simple alignment and replacing my coolant cap. No thanks.

I had issues with my power steering on my work truck, I got the truck to their shop and they helped get me back to another vehicle so I could finish my appointment and get my family picked up from school. Great service, friendly staff & fair pricing.

Took grandson’s car to diagnose rough running engine. They diagnosed the problem and “cured” a couple of other issues. Kept us informed about the work status and corrected the problems at a very fair price. Had not used them in the past but will certainly in the future. With a teenager and a car I’m sure there will be other issues - .....

After a heavy rain, water got into our system and we feared the absolute worst. This past week I took my 2008 GMC Sierra to Hometown Auto Repair for help. I had a severely damaged wheel bearing as well as a slow start up (usually wouldnt start until the 3rd try). I received some of the BEST service, communication, and extra effort that I have ever received. And I HIGHLY recommend their service.Before going to Hometown, I had my truck at another auto repair shop to get an original estimate and diagnosis. Once receiving that original diagnosis, I then immediately contacted several other auto repair shops in Owasso to get competitive quotes and requested that they send me their detailed estimates in an email. I contacted 4 shops total, 3 of which responded to my request of sending me their estimate by email. Hometown Auto was the first to respond to me and they also sent the most detailed estimate response. In addition to their estimate, they also asked me specific questions and paid attention to the details that I described as part of my problem that NONE of the other shops did. Lastly, their original estimate was better than all of the other competitors.Once I dropped my truck off to their shop, the first thing they did was perform thorough testing. From the testing, they actually pinpointed a different problem than what the other auto shop had diagnosed as a bad spark plug and that the truck just needed a tune up... the actual problem was due to a leak in the fuel filter that Hometown discovered. They told me this right away, gave me an accurate explanation of the problem, and gave me some very practical options about what I could do to fix it - all of which were very affordable.During my two day repair, Hometown kept me in the loop on my truck and even informed me of a slight hiccup with one of my parts that didnt fit. They also honored their original pricing when they actually needed to use a more expensive part than what they quoted. In addition, once I came to pick up the truck, they informed me that they had done extra cleaning and work on the truck. One of the technicians also informed me of a small hole in my exhaust due to rust.Overall, from before, during, and after my repair, I have never had this level of excellence in communication. In my past repair experiences, Ive been treated as if I am expendable, Ive been given false information, Ive been billed extra, Ive have been ignored, and Ive had to even return my cars back to be fixed due to horrible repairs. Hometown COMMUNICATED with me and went above and beyond my expectations.

I should have writen this review a LONG time ago, I remember when mike came thru kfc he was just about to open the shop up and I need a oil change on my honda. I remember calling him and asking if he could change it the next day he said he was not yet open but would be more then happy to do it!After that I need my brakes change and he did charge me a arm or a leg, or try and tell me my routers needs to be re done.Then something with my ball joint went out in stead of wanting 850$ for it mike only charge me 350$ an got it done really fast!I plan on taking a vacation in october and plan on dropping the honda off with mike to get her a tune up and a few things fixed, everyone I know I tell them to go to home town auto repair not only for how great the wrong is but also how cheap it is and the great people there!Thank you again mike for coming to my job and giving me your card this is the best auto place I have been to in forever~

Had mike replace my old belt and stereo.He asked for around 680 after it was done. The original quote was 320. Maybe should have went with someone else.
