Good range for the space it has. Not super long or anything and there are a lot of rules that I think can limit the type of practice you can do with handguns specifically. Also I rented a S&W M&P9 2.0 and it didn’t work and we had to return that gun. If you’re in the area tho this is probably your best option.

Shooters is the local spot. Everyone is friendly, make sure and make an appointment or call for availability because Covid sucks. Fun, spot lots of Targets to choose from.

Drive all the way from Fillmore to learn you need an appointment. There werent even that many people in the store. Theyre almost as bad as the tyrannical government were currently dealing with. They were pretty rude about it too. Ive bought several guns here, Ill avoid buying any more from here if I can.

I call coz wanna buy some guns and ammunition but Waiting for 10 min they keep me hanging for more than 10 minutes

In my experience they were difficult to get a hold of, I tried multiple times one day to call their office and no one answered. I finally got a chance to make a reservation and on the day of, they gave my spot away and didn’t even apologize. They said it was because we were 15 minutes late but we were only 3-5 minutes late. Will never try to come here again.

I’ve bought a few guns and done some transfers from here and these guys (especially jerry) have gone out of their way to help me and save me time every time. Good customer service.

The place to go to shoot a gun for the first time !!On vacation in the US, I wanted to show my girlfriend how to shoot a handgun so I went there.This is a great place, the staff was really helpful with all the safety explanations and tips. You can shoot very safe there (which is not the case everywhere from my previous experiences).I strongly recommend the place to everyone on vacation in California that wants to have a shooting experience in the USA.Total for us was about 50$ for 50 bullet + lane + gun (for two person) (all the rates available on internet). We spent about an hour there.

Excellent customer service and military friendly. Efficient check-in and fair pricing. Overall a good range and I would definitely go here again when Im local. Cant say anything about the pricing on guns or accessories as I didnt go there for that.

Brought my own ammo a few times, never been allowed to shoot it. This time it was police training rounds. They told me it had too much mercury? And I could shoot it if I was a cop. Sounds like discrimination to me. But I guess I didnt check the website first. Oh well. Other than that, its not too expensive to shoot I guess. Gun prices seemed high, so I went elsewhere and got a much better deal. I might try once more with some ammo I just bought. Its allowed everywhere else. So well see I guess.

Range is decent. Must use house ammo even though you brought your own gun. Must used toxic free primer ammo. In addition, range fee is charge by shooter not lane. If everyone pays the same fee, you might as well get your own lane since youre paying for it. Would not come here again nor recommend to avid shooters.

My experience here was nothing less than excellent! I wish I could remember the gentlemans name but I do remember that he also teaches at the Navy base. He was very helpful with me who is new to shooting a gun and my wife who has had some experience. I would definitely recommend this place and will be coming back for more shooting and perhaps to purchase!

Love this place. Ive been going to shooting ranges since I was a little boy. By far the best indoor range Ive ever been too. I was in the Military, so Ive been around the world, and indoor category, this is the best. I can bring my own ammo, the staff doesnt bother me. If they see something wrong, they let you know by approaching you with a good attitude. As long as you follow their rules, you will have a great time. I will always keep going to this place, even if I move out of Oxnard. Ill see you there!!!

Had come here several years ago to transfer a firearm many years ago. Decided to stop in and shoot my 10mm pistol. They allow .223 rifles and magnums. Targets are reasonable and it happened to be discount lane night. Target runners are motorized and work smoothly.

Would it hurt to update your website and let people know that you are closed. We drove all the way from Simi valley just to find the business closed for covid-19 smh

I have trained at Shooters Paradise indoor range with Refugio, Justin and Dominic of Elite Firearms Group for a number of years and have always found the store staff to be friendly and courteous and helpful. The training under Refugio Flores is excellent!!! I highly recommend his classes for all shooters to improve their shooting and safety skills.

Shooters in Ventura CO have limited options for range time and thus we are grateful to Shooters Paradise for keeping this humble little range (50 ft. max) going with all the political and regulatory pressure they face. They have a friendly staff and an egalitarian attitude and they are installing new technology for scoring competitive tournaments. Usually when I shoot there one or two instructors are on the line. It feels safe and family oriented. Prices are fair and the targets work fine. The only caveats are that it gets warm and they allow larger bore rifles and shotguns so it can be tough on the senses.

Tucked away near downtown Oxnard (on Pacific Coast Highway), Shooters Paradise is a Ventura County community staple! Fair pricing on entrance fees, gun rentals, and new/reloaded ammo. Definitely worth a twenty minute drive from our house.Their staff has been well above par: offering shooting tips, helping with rental selection, and also with the eventual purchase of a firearm. They are very knowledgeable about everything from which new gun to bring home, the best type of ammo, to purchasing a cleaning kit. They also offer a discounted membership if you purchase a firearm from their store. Even if youve never fired a shot before, they are more than willing to help you out and walk you through it.While clean and orderly, their range could use a little updating, but is still fully functional and safe - were not here for looks, right? Even though they can fill up on the weekends, with thirteen lanes, Ive never waited longer than five or ten minutes. As long as you follow their common-sense safety rules (no rapid-fire, non-toxic ammo, no hollow points, eyes-and-ears, etc.) youll have a great time! Would recommend this place all day long for beginners and the experienced alike.

Good stuff, never been here before took my sisters to try shooting a gun for the first time and it was great. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The only thing was the price of ammo, it was a bit high for my tastes Id recommend bringing your own ammo they have no problems with that and it seems to be the cheaper option. 4.5/5

I have been to enough gun ranges to know how it should be. This didnt measure up. i went with my 15 year old son and we were waited upon by a young woman who was curt if not rude and seemed preoccupied with her personal life. I explained to her it was our first time at this range. She offered no orientation and seemed uninterested in safety protocols. My son and I found that alarming. Then we observed there was no range master in sight. Maybe it was a bad day for them. It should not happen. There is too much at stake. I will not spend my money there again.Contrast that with the openness and thorough briefing we received at the Island Paradise in Ventura.

This place is a hit and miss on the customer service it depends on who the person is working that day. The pricing is fair on the lane fees but the ammo is super expensive. The 40 dollar fee if you “accidentally” hit the sometimes taped up target holder sucks I think these dudes have to understand that some people who dont work at a range for a living dont have the experience and the practice that they do I think its just another way to make a few bucks off their customers. Overall we had a fun time until we hit the target holder then the dude just flipped out and acted like that has never ever happened before but you can obviously tell by seeing some tapes up ones and by reading some of these reviews that this does happen then he was cool when we were paying and leaving. I think if some of these dudes take some customer service classes and watch some videos on dealing with people this place can be great to take your family and get them some good experience shooting.

Visited this place to see if I wanted to get back into shooting. Its a little hard to find but worth the search. People there are friendly and they have good selection of gear and firearms. Renting guns is simple there and their prices are decent. Overall, Id recommend this place to anyone wanting to put a few months down in the range.

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! The absolute worst!!! The staff are cocky and talk to you like a child. I brought my own ammo and they said due to the lead content I would not be able to use it and have to buy their crappy overpriced reloads or go find some that doesnt have lead. Never have I heard such a dismal scam from a shooting range. When I asked why I had to buy their ammo and where it came from I was met with a harangued response implicating to stop asking questions. They claim to have a clean primer policy to reduce airborne air contamination. Its strange that no other place forces you to buy their ammo because of this statement. All it is is a front for their scam. I implore anyone considering shooting here to avoid this place.

Tried to buy a couple things today. I was 2nd in line and the guy in front of me bought a lot of ammo so he needed help out with it. That’s cool I get it. But no one else stepped in to help me. One guy was helping a customer from the range so I get that. But I just stood there and stood there while one girl ate her lunch and another guy was behind the counter with another customer. I got tired of waiting after a few minutes (how long does it take to carry something out for someone?) so I left. Then I see the guy and the customer talking by the car. Frustrating.And don’t even get me started on having to buy their ammo to use the range. Seems like a scam to get you to buy their overpriced ammo for reloads especially since they’re the only shooting range around for miles except for Simi Valley and it’s pretty busy there. There has to be a way to improve ventilation.

Decent place, looks run down from the outside, much better on the inside. Took my fist basic firearms handling class there when I was young, teacher let me use some from his personal collection. All together Im satisfied with Shooters Paradice and would return.

Went shooting there couple months ago with a friend after shooting they told us we shot the target holder and had to pay 40 dollars. First off we have never hit target holders ever, second those target holders were shot to hell. The two new hires that they got there are morons with no customer service experience and dont no anything about guns a male and female . Thank god for the senior staff that was there and knew us. Unfortunately they lost 2 good customers

Went here every Saturday and Sunday for 2 months. Sunday Mar 10th, had the worst customer service. Checked out and the clerk (long black hair) argued with me because I didnt tell him I was military before I went in. He wasnt even the guy that checked me in. I can understand if I did something wrong, I would correct myself. A simple explanation would suffice. No, this guy went back and forth with me. Supporting military is appreciated, but were still paying to be there. I will not return, and I will spread the word around the bases. Sorry shooters, youve got a bad seed.

I keep hearing bad reviews of this place every time I’ve went it’s been a pleasure they close late let you shoot steel cases on rifles but not handguns.As far as I know island view won’t let you shoot steel cases ammo on anything.

First indoor gun range i have been to. Shooters paradise was great the staff are friendly and very helpful signed up for a six month membership. will definitely renew my membership.

Ive been to other indoor shooting ranges, but none compare to the welcome experience you get every time you walk through the door at Shooters Paradise. The interior may be a bit rough around the edges, but the friendly, knowledgable staff more than make up for any cosmetic challenges.You may find other local ranges that are shiny and new, but youll never find a friendlier staff or a better place to practice and get the professional support you need as you grow as a shooter.The store is well supplied with new and used handguns, ammo and basic equipment at really competitive pricing. And their memberships make it easy to afford frequent practice. I make Shooters Paradise part of my weekly routine.A special shout out to Aidan, my trainer, who supported me every step of the way to prepare for my CCW.

Well how can I begin to describe how rude and unprofessional joe from shooters paradise .. me and my little brother walked in to have a brother bonding time and we where all excited to just release some stress when joe looked at us and told us we look like we where smoking weed ? And that he can’t let us shoot when for starters me and my brother don’t do any of that what so ever and he took it upon himself to deny us service and ruined our hole day together .. we where stereo type and disrespected and will never go back to that place because they ruin family time especially joe!!!

The worst around. Brought in my own ammo, all FMJ. I was told I couldnt use any of it and I would have to use their over priced rounds. Ive gone to almost every range in the LA/Ventura area with the same ammo and have never been hassled. All ammo was new and from major manufacturers. Tight ammo restrictions doesnt come close to describing this place. Its a scam to get you to buy their ammo. Needless to say, I walked out, they have lost my business for life.

I was buying a gun from a friend. We needed someone to help with all the paperwork and registration. They were very knowledgable and knew everything we needed to do. They helped me prep for the test and even showed me how to disassemble the glock and told me how to care for it.I also have been back to use their fireing range and have been very impressed by their help and courtesy. A great place. ***** 5 Stars

Worse gun shop I’ve ever been to. The manager of the shop applies “double-standards” and discriminates me, rather than being fair and honest. I wasn’t allowed to rent any guns but the least powerful rifle, despite above 18, which according to the law I can play multiple rifles and shotguns that are available for rent in the store. I also got little assistance, been told MULTIPLE times to purchase their training sessions—yep, they want your money like no one else. As a first time customer, I feel unsafe and more than disappointed. No gun shops should ever tolerate discrimination and prejudice. What a dishonorable disgrace! I will NEVER, EVER visit the store again. I urge you not to go neither in the future.

I havent been in Shooters Paradise for a few years because of the rude staff and the low quality ammo they insist you buy. A friend invited me to go shoot with him and they still have rude staff and still lie to get you to buy their cheap ammo. They told my friend and I that we had cheap rounds and we needed to buy their reloads. I thought they would have improved since there is a gun range in Ventura but they still are bad. So Ill not shoot here but go to the Ventura range or the Piru range.
