Oil change is a bit pricey here and they dont accept parts from customers. In almost all other shops Ive been to, they accept customer parts. Im comparing my jiffy lube oil change receipt against the Sanford work order authorization. Jiffy charges $45 for oil change and they do a bunch of other inspect, check, fill services as part of the oil change service. Jiffy also takes customer parts. Sanford charges $60 and use their own parts. They do a free tire rotation though along with the oil change service.EDIT: I was wrong in my original post. Jiffy Lube oil change is actually more expensive in the net:(filter:$6) + (oil:$27) + (gasket:~$0) + (customer provided oil and filter credit:-$5) + (labor:$50) = $78Compared against Sanford:(service provided parts, labor, and free tire rotation:$50) + (environmental disposal fee:$5) + (California state sales tax:$3) = $58.I used to get my oil changed at an independent shop in San Jose when I lived there. The comparison for that is:(filter:$6) + (oil:$27) + (gasket:~$0) + (labor:$20) = $53I guess I no longer need to buy parts which is nice. In summary, Im going to correct my rating from a 4 to a 5. The pricing is not as bad as I originally thought.

I was stranded with a flat as I was having a diabetic episode. A wonderful lady came over to help. She changed my tire and allowed me to focus on my condition. Her name is Dominique and I can not thank her enough! Sanford Firestone is lucky to have such a good kind helpful employee. Thank you Dominique!

These people at shop refused to work on van because they said they were afraid of getting covid . They lie and take advantage of women. They did oil change just 2 weeks ago, they kept van all day to tell us they wouldnt work on it. This is a bad shop and they discriminate

John and his son are the most wonderful people.Yesterday, I had to buy new rims and tires for my car. John worked his magic and got me really shiny, sleek rims to go with the new tires.Today, I dropped off my car at about 10 or 11 am and by 2:00pm, my car was ready.Really incredible and impressive service.

They are very friendly and helpful. Ive been going to them for the past year and theyve helped me out with oil changes and new tires. They are pretty quick but having an appointment definitely helps. Prices seem fair and quality of service is great!

Sanfords service has kept my elderly Focus (16 years old) going strong. Keeping the oil changed, cooling system and transmission serviced, etc, really helps. I have had a couple of unexpected repairs over the years, but Sanford has always been there to help.

When all other auto service centers in a 20 mile radius couldnt help me with my tires situation, Sanford Firestone came through quickly. Theyre honest, friendly and they are a 4th generation family-owned business.

I was referred to Sanford Firestone by a dear friend who had used them for years. She felt they excelled all the way around. And I will tell you they are just as great as she said! They quoted me a very fair price for services in advance and got my car in and out very quickly. Their people skills were amazing. Reminded me of how people used to treat one another. Anyway, I plan to reach out to them more often.

Been here a couple of times. ALL the staff is very friendly and personable (this is rare in this day and age). Quick service here. Prices are decent. Same shopping center has Starbucks and Mexican restaurant if you get tired of waiting in the shop.

One of the older guys was nice to us gave us a reasonable price for the work, a lot better than the tire shop down at Skyline plaza. This was a down to earth business we need to have! Ive only been here 2 times but I already love the place. The 1st time here I was blown away by their honesty and ability to explain everything theyre doing to your car. Even just listening to them interact with other customers you can tell theyre good people. Hopefully I wont need service again soon, but if I do, you can bet Im going to Sanford Firestine!

I usually always go to a private mechanic but came here becuase I was in a rush. After reading the reviews (take them with a grain of salt), it seems to be under new ownership and it shows. John is the new owner and hes very fair and reasonable. He will always check before performing service on your car and if you dont know anything about cars, they do a nice job of explaining things in laymens terms. I have continued to return as the pricing is fair, the location in convenient, and the staff are polite and professional. I would definitely recommend.

The service at Sanford Firestone is awful! It is a stand-alone shop, not really a chain store of Firestone.I went there on July 13 for 10k-mile maintenance. Tire pressure was listed on checklist. Yet right after I left this shop, driving on Gateway Drive closed to them, the low tire pressure indicator went on. I went back to them. The technician just blamed it on some imbalance. He only turned off the indicator. Nothing else. I drove home, and ever since then I havent driven. The car just stayed in my driveway. Today (July 18) my housemate found I have a flat tire. I called Sanford Firestone, and the one who answered said nothing they can do. They dont have mobile service.Its my first time to have my car maintained at Sanford Firestone, and it is also my last time.

The customer service here is amazing, I believe that it was an accident giving them a one star. I may have accidentally clicked it when I was looking for a tire replacement shop on my phone.First time i came here they replaced two of my tires the same day. Second time they were very busy but offered to fix my tire (punctured by a nail). Put my spare on and told me to come back tomorrow and theyll put the fixed tire back on. The only issue was they told me they would call with a time to come put the tire back on, when they werent busy. They didnt call and I had to call close to the end of the day to double check if I could come in that day.But overall, always a good experience here.

This firestone is the real deal! Came out here for a leak to get my smog checked done For my dodge neon, came back for more leaks, this people are very honest and professional. I love this place! Everytime something happens to my car im bow confident knowing these guys are just up the block from me! Will definitely recommend to people!

Got my car passenger window motor replace for almost 500. They charge me 150 for parts and 300 for labor. When my wife called them they said that they charge 155 for inspection of the problem and 155 to put back the new parts it doesnt seem fair coz i told them already the problem that my window got stuck and dont move anymore. And let me wait for 5 hrs. Not fair at all. Im not going to comeback anymore.

This morning when I was going to get in my car to go to work I noticed that one of the back tires was flat. I have a mechanic who has been taking care of my car for years but since I was in a rush I had no other option but to look for nearest tire shop. I was lucky to end up at Sanford Firestone in the Fairmont Center where I could get my tires replaced. Chris Pinales was very informative, honest and he did not try to upsell me, instead he did his best to get me the best deal. I am impressed with the quality of customer service I received at Sanford Firestone, despite the volume of their business Chris could still offer me a same day service and did a great job at a very reasonable price.

They reinstalled my caliper pin backwards, causing premature wear on my left rotor (now Im buying new sooner).They also placed my rims faced down on the ground, causing scratches. Id rather take the hit as long as that tech is fired.

Chris at Firestone has always been helpful with my needs, be it help to program extra keyless entry remotes, brakes,new battery,tires,even my window track replaced after it broke- leaving my window down inside the door.

Worst service ever! Very dishonest! Took 7 1/2 hours to do a coolant exchange when I was told it would take 2 hours. Mechanic left his lunch in my car.
