As often as Ive been to Allens Ive never been disappointed. Friendly staff and good owners who are all but willing to help you in anyway they can. Recently I was searching for a classical, but they were out of stock, so they made sure to text me the moment they had one come in and that they did.A prime example of a local business done right.

It was challenging pricing guitars etc. Place has a dingy feel to it. However, the guitar selection is superior and doesnt disappoint. Folks in there are very knowledgable.

Sent my Martin GPC12PA4 to them for a warranty repair (neck reset). It took them longer than expected to do the repair due to mix up with Martin Guitar Warranty approval. Once Martin told them to proceed with the repair, it took them little over a month to complete. Once repair was completed, It only took one day to return the guitar to me. After I received the guitar back, I thoroughly inspected it and found no flaws with their work, the action was spot on and the guitar sounds great, I highly recommend this shop for your guitar repair needs, talk to Brandon or Jill either will be more than happy to assist you.

1-6-19 Bought a 5 string Yamaha bass guitar. Love this place. Great service.4-4-19 Finish started fading on pewter hardware. Took it in to have it looked at and was told that it would not be covered under warranty as it is normal wear.6-4-19 Had my wife take this back to the store for me to speak with another person. She was told that they were not sure if they would cover it but they would find out and call us.7-31-19 FB message to Allens Music, They have contacted Yamaha and are going to cover the hardware.8-2-19 Deliver Bass to the store for warranty repair.8-13-19 Call for follow up, transferred to Tim. Tim has been off an no hardware has been ordered, there had been no work order created.

The Allens are nice people with a passion for music! Brandon, Ashley & family are always helpful.My sons took bass guitar and keyboard lessons. Bryce was my older sons instructor for lessons (bass guitar), he was great! Not only did my son learn the skills he needed to be in their performing rock band but he truly enjoyed going to lessons!We went for 3 years before moving.

The staff is super friendly and they are always willing to take time and help you find what youre looking for. They have very reasonable price ranges on their equipment and you can usually try out most items prior to buying. This is one of my favorite places to go in all of Paducah. Plus they are a local business that has been around for a lifetime serving the community. Just a terrific bunch of folks and musical instruments.

The guys are always helpful and knowledgeable, prices are what what you would expect from a brick and mortar music store and they even have a online site

Cool store and front of house service, received my guitar back after some work done and was very disappointed. The intonation was actually farther off than when I brought it in. It wasnt wiped down. The pick-ups were simply set flush with the mount. Not close in volume. The bridge was also simply tightened to the body. My high e string wasnt even on the bridge when I opened the case.Obviously they really could of cared less to do the work. Id rather be told that up front. I honestly feel insulted that they would assume I wouldnt notice or care. Ive spent near half the price and received more. The only reason I didnt return immediately to have it fixed is because theyre never touching a guitar of mine again. I even said I dont care what it cost I just wanted it fixed right. If you cant or dont want to work on guitars... Dont. Stick to selling NeuSonics for $1500.

This is an old school music shop. You dont see many of these anymore and its a shame. Its a great place with knowledgeable people passionate about music. They have a wide selection of items both new and used, offer lessons and there is usually someone playing in the background. If they dont have what youre wanting, I bet they can find it. Its great for those just starting out too. They take the time to talk to you and help you get started.

Im a beginner at the guitar and went in to look at some pedals. The staff was knowledgeable and very helpful. Their prices are also very competitive. The pedal I ended up purchasing was cheaper from Allen Music than Amazon had it for. Its so helpful to me, as a beginner, to have a local store I can go to and get help.

Although I never realizedmy rock and roll dreams,Brandon and family carry on the tradition as I just bought my nephew his first guitar there. Just now exploring the historic downtown Paducah Ky . So glad I did. I found Allen music, until this time I thought the only music store had closed down. These people were at my beckon call and help with every need AND had answers to all my questions. If I didnt feel comfortable stringing my instrument they will do it for me. This place was great with a level of expertise and care I thought were gone these days .

Large selection of guitars. The store also carries banjos, drums, keyboards, various brass and woodwinds, and a few classical stringed instruments like violins. Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. If you like Fender, Martin and Taylor guitars this place is for you.

Went to pick up electric guitar strings and found out that they were less expensive and more helpful when I came back to replace the strings I broke trying to explain to my son why you dont overtighten them and was understanding on how it happened in the first place

I want to thank T Hoover for his patience, and being so helpful and understanding of someone that did not have a clue about their instrument. Just the chore of finding everything I needed as a beginner, giving me suggestions he didnt have to. All the while my husband was looking for an easy instrument, gentleman with him just as kind helping him to make a choice. Mind you the store was filled with customers, all the employees are great multitaskers, helping all customers while helping their own. This is an amazing store with truly amazing staff. My husband and I was looking for a starter guitar for a friend who was wanting to learn. We walked up to the store but realized they had closed at least 30 minutes earlier. As we went to leave Brandon came to the door and asked if he could help us. We explained what we were looking for but that we hadnt realised they were already closed. Brandon opened the store up for us and showed us the guitars and recommended good ones for starting out on. He went above and beyond to be helpful and was very knowledgable and friendly. We bought a great guitar for an excellent price as well as a case and picks. They were very unclear with their pricing information. One employee quoted me a price, then another went behind him and quoted me a higher price. Guess which one I paid? (If you guessed the lower rate, youre wrong.) It was all very bizarre. However, their rates for rentals far and away beat out Shivelbines. They were friendly, and apologetic about all the misinformation and confusion. Id go back, and for sure recommend them to others. Just get a definitive pricing quote right out of the gate.

Was disappointed in Allens. No one asked me anything. I just strolled around to try and find what I was looking for. I had to go asked someone if they had a certain product. They looked up from there computer, told me no and then went back to putting there head in a Computer like my money didnt matter.
