I came here to replace the battery on a Bulova watch for my wife. They said it would take about 5 minutes. They offered to replace it and wanted to charge $200 for insurance in case anything happened to the watch. The crystal on the face of the watch was broken. Well, two months later and nothing. I contacted them multiple times and no response. No phone calls or follow up. They said they would call me every week and no response at all. I stopped by every Thursday/Sunday to ask where is the watch and they stated they dropped it off at a jewelry store to fix it. The face of the watch was on back order according to them. Bad customer service, bad business, and little to no response. Avoid this store.

This is such a great idea. I got the right batteries for a scale on my first try. Usually Im back and forth exchanging them. Plus the girl changed 2 mini clock batteries for me. What a great service!!

Purchased a battery for my backup sump pump system under a 30 month warranty. It stopped working after 18 months so brought it in and they offered to try to charge it and if it didn’t work they offered to replace it. When I returned the next day they changed their mind, said it wouldn’t charge and wanted me to buy the same battery at a discount. Tried to blame me for getting a bad battery. Asked what needs to happen for it to be covered under the warranty and they couldn’t explain it. The battery just sat in my basement connected to my sump pump system. Do not buy a battery here especially for a back up sump pump system.

A great place for many reasons, our car fobs both went low, I called the dealer he gave me an appointment and a cost estimate 40.00. Anyway on my way I past by your store and thought they might direct me to someone else who can replace this, the woman behide the counter was on the phone but took my fob and replaced it, I think it was 5 $. The only bad part about this store for.me in ITS LOADED with really cool stuff.

I walked into the Palatine, IL store on Sunday July 21, 2019 at 11:00 am. The store was empty. I told the young man at the counter (did not catch his name) that I needed a watch battery replacement. He asked me if I had the battery replaced before at this location and I told him yes. He asked me if the watch (a Bulova) was valued at under $200 and I answered him yes. He briefly looked at the watch and then proceeded to tell me that he didnt have the appropriate tool to remove the back cover of the watch....sorry-cant help you and handed it back to me! But I had it replaced at this store before I told him. How long ago? he asked me. About 2 years ago I answered. Well, I wasnt here 2 years ago was his snarky reply. (Lucky for me) I thought, but didnt say. I found his demeanor unfriendly, unhelpful and condescending. I left the store and went up the road to the Lake Zurich, IL location and my experience could not have been more the opposite. The young lady, Rae, not only replaced the battery in about 5 minutes, but could not have been more friendly, helpful and informative regarding another question I had about my iPhone. Suggestion for the young man at Palatine store: if you dont like dealing with people, dont work in a customer service oriented job.

Wow - made my day! Woke up to a dead car battery in the middle of January here in the Chicago area. After some quick online shopping around, I found their price for a Duracell replacement with a 4-year warranty cheaper than other sources. AND, they installed it for free (outside, with blowing winds and 20 degree temperatures within 20 minutes), and didnt charge anything for disposing the old one. And all this with a smile and a thank you. Great service, great product, great price - THANK YOU!

I just bought my third battery from this store (a car battery). On previous occasions, I bought a car battery and a battery for my sump pump back up system. They always have the battery I need (and they look it up when I dont know exactly what I need). Their location is convenient for me, and their prices are great. They applied their current $10 off discount that I didnt even know was available. More importantly, they are very helpful. If you can get your car to the store, they will replace the battery for you. This time, my car wouldnt start and I was almost a mile away from their store, but someone still came and replaced it at no additional charge - he wouldnt even accept a tip. They save me time and money. I am 100% satisfied.

Recently we went into the Palatine store for a single cell for our power bar remote, and left with more than we expected. Thanks to Joe the sales associate who pointed out special sales on LED bulbs. Not only did Joe save us money but he was very friendly and knowledgeable, the store was very clean and organized as well. We also had the pleasure of meeting the store manager John, again he was just as friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks John and Joe! My iPhone fell down, and stopped working. I visited this store, staff guy clearly explained possible reasons and fixes would need. He checked and without any fix Mobile started working as he did small work around. Staff guy is very honest, he has told me nothing much he did to resolve the problem and did not charge me for it. We went into Batteries Plus Palatine, Illinois location to get a new marine battery and change out a couple light bulbs that kept burning out. We spoke to the manager, John Maier, who gave us so much information that we changed out all our household bulbs to LED bulbs and purchased a new backup marine battery for our sump pump. John was so knowledgeable about all his products and we were very appreciative that he spent the time aiding us in our decision. Id highly recommend using this store for all your battery and bulb needs.

Purchase and installation of auto battery went flawlessly. I purchased online and scheduled pickup/installation (free installation) at local store. Battery was in stock and installer was extremely knowledgeable and qualified. I will purchase all future auto batteries at this location.

I had to get a new phone today. My old phones USB pins got bent and for all intents and purposes was unfixable. Unfortunately my battery died and I couldnt charge it to transfer all of my contacts messages etc. Came in and the owner of the store was able to charge the battery outside of the phone and got all my data on my new phone a few hours later. I ordered the battery I needed online and within three hours I got an email that it was available for pick up. I went to the store to pick up and was treated very well. Sierra was fantastic. I bought 6 batteries for my golf cart. She had 5 in stock and called other stores to secure the 6th battery for the next morning pick up. I will be shopping at the Vernon Hills store again very soon! Other stores in the area that did not already have 6 in stock showed no interest in getting the additional batteries from another Batteries Plus location. They lost out on a very large purchase.

Came in recently at 8am opening to see if I could get my IPHONE 6 working. Gentleman was nice as could be even though we were unable to solve the issue. I am an engineer myself and so he let me stand over him as we both pondered what could be the culprit of the dead phone. I will come back ASAP when I need something sold here. Very good experience. I was excited to learn this company replaces Note 5 batteries and used their services on my two-year old phone as I plan to use it long as possible.I have now had the battery replaced twice due to failure: random phone shut-downs and extreme battery drain. I was told they may have a bad batch from their supplier.Just to be clear, they are ok replacing the battery, it just takes time out of my day and its hard to be without a phone. Its a hassle.Lastly, due to the enclosure on this phone, the replacement process involves heating the case to bend it off. I guess it heated up too much and pealed a bit of the paint off the top of the front glass. It happened a little more on the second replacement.The phone looks shoddy now. I had kept it in excellent condition, and its a shame using this service makes me feel less of this phone.Update 02/01/2019: After much more work on the phone, spanning over seven months, I finally requested a refurb or equivalent phone as battery replacements and software corrections would not alleviate the problem.They, instead bought me a NEW phone, which I am content with, of course. I kept the star rating as adequate because the experience, while ending in success, was quite taxing and I went without a phone too much (luckily I had a spare to plug my card into - I dont know that everybody would have this handy!). I had to do a lot of running around and pushing for updates on the phone when in service.
