Stopped for the first time at MRAM. Was greeted by the counter clerk, Jason Patterson. A friendly, knowledgeable person, invited us to browse. Began walking around the store. Tight layout, a labyrinth of sorts. Hearkened to hardware stores of yesteryear. And note-ably includes electrical appliance parts. My mind was then blown away. New electronic components packaged for sale and neatly ordered. Nothing missed, resistors to processors. Linear to digital, signal level to power including optoelectronics. Product line and packages unique to MRAM. WOW! Like the back aisles of Radio Shack on steroids. Continued to another room, computer parts, of wide vintage; genre. Tastefully sprinkled about were antique electronic treasures like old table radios etc. And yet another room- I am now in shock. Lets check outside motions my wife. Out-back we have an electronic junkyard of sorts . . . and sorts, and sorts! Under tents, we found everything from bathroom scales to missile radio test sets, X-ray machine control console. Absolutely unbelievable, By now I am hovering above my body, there is a heavenly chorus in the air, as the scent of roses touches my nose. Okay back to earth now, IF YOU ARE INTO ELECTRONICS YOU MUST GO HERE. Oh yea, and if your wife complains about the oven not heating go here also.These people are doing for our world what has been needed for years, they are acting responsibly with the technology that has intertwined itself into our lives. The same technology that cripples, our recycling efforts. The same technology that threatens our groundwater has now been diverted into the lives, minds, and hands of aficionados like myself. I am simply in awe...

I had pretty good experience here. I am not knowledgeable on electronics by any means. When the USB cable on my portable arcade stick got severed I went out on a limb to find a local electronics store that might have a replacement part. The actual replacement part online had been sold out and unknown when a restock would come.We weren’t able to find the part exactly, but the gentleman working there was able to help me splice together the fragile mini wires within the cable by soldering it and patching it together. The splicing was something I attempted at home prior, but gave up since I had no experience and finesse in manipulating the smaller wires without it breaking apart.We were able to test the connection on the PC in the store by showing that device was recognized. It has been some time since then and the arcade stick still functions fine with the patch. The price was ultimately less than buying a new cable online.In short before giving up and trying to buy a new device together, I think it is real nice that there is a place like this which may have parts or people knowledgeable and willing to help do a repair.

This place is amazing. They have surface mount parts all the way up to high voltage parts. They have AC hvac caps in stock and dryer washer parts. Lots of old defense contractor dumpster dive type stuff that can be very valuable at great prices. In fact just ordered the cap online for $75 they had the same brand for $33

I called this facility looking for a hard to find item. They didnt have it. However, the gentleman on the phone helped me find it elsewhere.Now THATS customer service. Give this place a shot. They deserve it.

I was literally directed to a bin outback to dig for my own parts. When I had found what I was looking for and went to the counter to pay. The lady looked me in the face and said I cant sell you that, thats gold and we scrap gold i spent the better part of 45 minutes digging through the tote that the dude gave me to dig in.

Disappointing experience today. I’ve spent a fair amount of money here over the last year or so but today the lady that was working told me I could not look around. I mentioned being curious to see what appliance parts they had, but without passing a quiz at the door, they weren’t interested in letting me in. Please get the friendly young man that used to work there back. The new lady just turns customers away. It’s customer service like this that drives people to shop online.

I bought a large blue barrel here and It was full of wasps. This is exactly what I wanted, because Im a wasp farmer, but the wasp were all dead!

This place is highly recommended! My washer cord was cut and the gentleman is the store fixed it in 10 minutes by attaching a new power cord to it. My washer is working perfectly!!! Thank god for this place!! It was very inexpensive as hell!

I just found this place this past week. I had a blast going through the stuff there. They have so much old tech, new tech and all in between it is hard to see it all. The staff is super knowledgeable and can likely fin the part you are looking for. Prices are very reasonable. Make sure you have some time to browse when you go. This place is a trip for all geeks/nerds and wannabe’s. :-)

These guys have stuff that even home depot doesnt carry. Couldnt have put my PC together without them -highly recommend. Devin was very helpful

Fun place to poke around in if youre a hardware geek. Lots of new and surplus parts. Cables, connectors, switches, and discreet components. New, used, and surplus. Warning - it may be difficult to find what youre looking for, although they probably have it.

Great place overall. Good place to find parts. The people are awesome and very well informed. You will find a project or complete the one you have with MRAM. I travel for an hour without remorse. Best experience hands down.

Awesome place to find Cool electronic test equipment and computer stuff at bargain prices. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. They even managed to find me a hard to find appliance part no one else could. There need to be more places like this...

This place is awesome for electronics. They have tons of both new and used parts, including parts for appliance repairs. Staff is pretty friendly and helpful. Reasonable prices.

Outstanding!! Needed a heating element for my dryer and they had it in stock for the same price as online! Staff helped determine that it was indeed the element so I didnt have to buy part after part to fix it. If you need appliance parts chances are they have it AND unlike the Sears Part Center they are open real business hours! Highly recommended!

The man working there was very nice and respectable. Its exactly the type place I was looking for; boxes after boxes of electrical surplus. Everything is far more organized and labeled than Ive seen at similar stores. I will be a returning customer as long as Im in the area!

An awesome place for tinkering especially with electronics. You can spend hours here just looking through all the stuff they have. I remember when they were on Nasa; it is more organized now but still the same concept.

Fantastic local place to get electronics parts. I had to get rid of my parts bins when I moved here so its awesome to see that I can get all those same things here without having to mail order things from China and wait for weeks.

Tonya was super helpful, they had the part i needed,she knew i was repairing my whirlpool top loader, needed a suspension kit, she made sure i had the resources i needed to make sure i fixed my washer, now the washer is fixed and im pretty psyched, really gotta support your local businesses. ill definitely be returning for appliance hardware needs. I have been looking for a computer monitor for a week. This store has hundreds of used computer parts. They also sell some new parts as well as parts for appliances. Everything is stocked and maintained nicely. Whenever I enter a small business I am always outgoing and say hello. There were three employees. I walked in greeted them with a hello. The three stared at me like I caught them in the middle of doing something wrong. No one said hello back and the lady at the counter actually snarled at me. I asked for a used computer monitor. She showed me, I picked one out. We went up front to pay. I asked if she could take my name and call me when a bigger one comes in. She growled we dont do that. I paid and as I turned to walk out I asked does anyone here smile? I received grunts in response. It actually was more hilarious than sad. I guess they are so overwhelmed with customers they dont need my business

Helpful staff, vast supply of electronics and appliance parts, selection is so wide it can be daunting to browse with out help, just ask for assistance and the staff will point you in the right direction.

They are very knowledgeable and helpful finding what I needed.

This place is falling apart and the staff is the laziest people. They all say they cant help because theyre busy but theyre just sitting there watching their show. The place is disorganised and they expect you to dig through the piles instead of helping you look because they dont even know where anything is. Worst place of business Ive ever seen in my life!

Bring a flashlight and prepare to get your hands dirty! If you like exploring, there are multiple trailers out back with many treasures. Prepare to spend some time there and youll be surprised at what you can find. The prices are very fair and reasonable (and negotiable). Some of the pre-packaged new items may be more pricey, but youre not paying shipping or minimum fees of the online retailers like digikey.

I go to MRam all the time. If youre into electronics of any kind you should check this place out. I find all kinds of goodys and occasionally some hidden gems.

Useless. Says they open at nine. Says so on the door too, which I am looking at now at ten and still no one is here. Came by because they dont answer their phone and dont return phone calls after multiple messages. So pretty much useless and a waste of time. Website hasnt been updated in two years.

Keeps a few appliance parts on hand, a little pricey but very useful when your in a pinch.

If you need a switching power supply, an oscope or pretty much any small electronic part or adapter, this is where you go in Melbourne to get it. Friendly staff and lots of stuff to explore.
