This is a old established business and he moved to a new location. He now sells slabs for countertops or tables and has about four different species of wood. The prices are good and he is a nice person to deal with when doing business. Pretty much the only game in town for hardwood and he can plane their wood or cut it and he charges you fees to cut and plane when you buy his wood.You can buy furniture grade plywood there and you can also have custom molding made by him in his shop.

I have been a customer of Brevard Hardwoods for over 10 years. Brevard Hardwoods has a wide variety of top quality hardwoods that you will not find at your local home improvement stores. Jim is always happy to mill rough lumber to my specifications while I wait. He is never too busy to meet my milling needs. His prices are fair and reasonable. My favorite hardwood is walnut and most of the time Jim has walnut in stock. However, if Jim does not have walnut in stock he places an order for more stock and he takes the time to call me when the lumber comes in. You can’t get this kind of personal service anywhere else. He treats every customer like that customer is his only customer. He is always friendly and he makes every customer feel welcome even when there are multiple customers in the shop.

I contacted these guys via phone to do a purchase for me. We spoke several times leading up to the purchase and all was well. The day I showed up to inspect the lumber they decided not to do anything else until they got paid. We never had any disagreements, arguments or even spirited conversations before my visit to his shop. I was very surprised at the reaction of the owner, as soon as he saw me. I must say that I am African American. I am not sure why I was pre-judged as a result of my appearance. Now what do you call that ? The word prejudice is derived from pre (which means before) and Judice (means to judge).Now as far as my appearance goes, I am an engineer who has worked in corporate America for over 20 years. I am typically dressed in business casual attire.I will not label this gentleman, but those are the facts. You make your own determination.
