Having spent quite a few thousand dollars there, I would say that they have very good customer service. This is in consideration to the current ammo crunch and sparse availability of certain firearms. Yes, lines can be long if you go on the weekend or early evening. This should just be expected. Nothing is cheap in CA anymore, so I think their ammo prices are fair (but it is painful), same with the firearms. My only critique would be that (now that they are Turners, not Second amendment) they only stock what turners stocks. So, no special orders, at least this is what I was told. Maybe that will change. I’m more than happy to give them my $$ if they were willing to do this. Overall, very satisfied and I look forward to interacting with their employees when ever I go.

If you are looking to go for the day. Sorry to say that they make you buy membership and if you buy the least expensive you have to buy ammunition from them.

I went in and took my test, 30 questions and got 100% & Marco helped me choose a weapon best suited for me & my home defense. Marco Ignacio or Nacho I hope I got it man sorry, they were both great & very helpful in assisting me a first time gun owner. Thank you guys again and see you in 10 days.

Turners is running this place into the ground. Almost seems like they are doing it on purpose. Myself and multiple friends and family have all had several bad experiences since the take over most issues are Customer service related. Went in to drop 2 Gs on a Precision Rifle. To be turned away by rude staff. Problems with uneducated staff to bickering staff over whos sell it is or was.you guys need to really sit down with your employees and talk about customer relations. I would have given it 5 back when it was 2nd. But now Im not going back, Ill take my business to guns of distinction or Tims

I purchased a Smith and Wesson 9 mm and picked it up on August 19th I thought they were very friendly and help me immensely Im not sure if I really got a good deal or not but dealer Matt but Im going to try and get a better deal later since the pandemic was discovered and guns are short anyway I cant remember the name of the people that help me but I was satisfied so far

I was shopping here when it was second amendment. I, like everyone else bought a gun during the pandemic and election. I would totally one star this place for the long lines and price gouging but understand its not the workers fault. Also, what gives with the one register on each side Turners? The sole reason for the five star is the ammo guys. They deal with uneducated people like the guy in front of me complaining about his federal limits all day. Theo assured me that he will get to me as soon as possible and thanked me for my patience. So when he went to get me a fast loader, Ralf (I think thats his name) and Isiah asked if I was being helped. Kudos for good service even the people being served are jerks

I had enrolled in the ladies only intro to handguns class, not knowing what to expect. Robert D. and V? (sorry, I can’t remember her name) were excellent; very informative in class and hands-on instruction at the range. The ladies in attendance were all pretty entertaining, too. Thank you for your time and for sharing your knowledge. I look forward to pursuing further training.

Great place to pick up a weapon and a few of the staff are great people (Manager Hunter)... but two things troubled me while there, 1) to use range is extremely expensive, level 1= you have to use there ammo & targets, level 2= use your ammo & target but the price is high and only one guest... 2) the change to Turners brought over a staff member from the Corona store and he is not very understanding of anything, that said makes it unlikely to send others to shop...

Came into the store earlier this week, seeking help and was helped out by Ralph Robles, Ralph was extremely rude, and I asked about 2 questions about a particular firearm and he didn’t answer while he just looked at the computer screen. He has 0 customer service skills, and made it a unpleasant shopping experience.

Staff members Rome & Mariana were great, very helpful & cheerful! But the wait times are crazy long so just be prepared to spend your day their. They have a good selection of guns at reasonable prices and the only gun store selling 9mm rounds right now. But selling FAST.

I have been coming here for a long time now. Let me start by saying when it was second ammendment it was great. Staff was friendly and always helpful. Im not sure if it has changed because its turners or if they got all new staff or what, but my recent experience was terrible. I spent $4,000 on guns on one visit. To make a long story short, I had to redo my paperwork 3 times and had to redo the DROS twice. They messed up on the paper work numerous times. When I brought up the fact that I lived 70 miles away they said sorry and that I would get a free box of ammo when I came back to pick up my gun. Well when I went back and asked about the ammo they said that they dont give ammo away and gave me a $10dollar off of $50 dolalr purchase coupon. And then they gave me a promotion hat that they had laying around in the back. Needless to say I am just really disappointed in this place. Wont be going back anymore.

My husband and I really like the shop and have purchased 2 firearms. Unfortunately, will not be able to purchase a 3rd because they no longer offer layaway. Why???I cant afford to pay outright for another but I would like to purchase another firearm. I guess I will have to find a different shop that will offer layaway.

Hire more people. I am new to the gun world.I went in because I was suggested by some friends that had good experience this store to take my test to become a gun owner. I understand that it was busy when I went in. But does not an excuse you for bad customer service. A tall blonde man with long hair and a beard help me out. I’m not sure if he was new or he didn’t like me for whatever reason. He was anxious and answer my questions bland with very little information/explanation. It was like he wanted me to leave. I’m not sure if I’m going to buy my first gun here I had a bad first experience

Very nice store, well maintained and a wide range of options. Probably the only store youll be able to find your choice of firearms locally right now. Expect 3-5 hours in line for your background check (DROs) and expect 2-3 hours in line outside in the heat to pick up your firearm. Dont expect great customer service, especially during peak hours, this place gets super busy. Once they get a system in place for their flow of customers coming in it should run smoother.

Terrible Customer Service. My lady and I went to Second Amendment Sports this morning at 10am (1/26/2020) . We were ready to purchase weapons for home defense. We walked around and looked. Not a wide selection of handguns but a few glocks and czs. We were there shopping around for 10 minutes, every employee walked pass us and never said anything. I guess we were invisible. 5 employees walked by us multiple times not a word. Smh

Went to this place and got piss poor service. You can tell they play value systems on people by the slick looks and stares. If your gonna do all that just ask me what I’m doing there and im going to let you know I’m buying a gun like everybody else. Try to hide your prejudice better.

They act like they’re doing you a favor. Lousy customer service. Rather take a drive else where than waste my money here.They’ll take your money then ask for your paper work. That way if you don’t have it all they can make you run around for hours so you can get fed up with them. That way they can pocket the restocking fee.I would give them a MINUS 10 star. But couldn’t place a review with out clicking on one star.

Not a big selection of guns anymore. Never have enough or any of the popular ammunition, and the employees are too busy talking amongst themselves to help anyone and when they do theyre rude. I will be going elsewhere from now on.

I am an experienced gun handler and know most gun stores in Southern California and Second Ammendment Sports in Palm Springs, is the best store I go to, even if I have to drive 2 hours to get to this store. The staff is extremely patience, knowledgeable and friendly speacily Romeo gides every customer with the best attitude and professionalism you can receive.

Their selection of firearms is good, but Customer service is horrible. I have been coming to second amendment for a couple years i’ve had a couple decent experiences but recently i was extremely disatisfied and i will not be returning. I felt like i was being talked down to and that the employees were uninterested in helping me.

I went to use the range here and it was so easy with the help of Charles . He helped my husband and I load the pistol we purchased from there . They have a great big store .

We took the beginning firearm class and found it to be very informative, well taught,far exceeded our expectations. Robert was a terrific instructor. We feel all citizens should take this class even if they dont intend to possess a firearm.

Bad customer service

Staff are nice but seam tiered still have 9mm amo witch is nice but are limiting to one box a day for 9mm and I think some other calibers. Great selection over all.

This place has the worst customer service of any business I have ever dealt with. They dont answer their telephone you ALWAYS get a voice mail and they never return calls. To make it worse they give the managers number to call if you have a complaint and it is just the same old story. Unlike the Arizona branch that has a human that answers the phone and answers any any all questions in a great manner. Who wants to drive 25 miles and stand in line just to get a simple question answered? With the money they are drawing in during this pandemic they can afford to have a telephone operator to take calls and answer simple questions. Due to this poor service and lack of customer service you have lost my business forever and many friends have told me the same thing.

About a week later I came back the reason... Cathy! Her customer service skills are incredible. I was at the Palm Desert location this morning and spoke extensively with both Brad and Leslie. The two of them were incredibly knowledgeable and instructive about the entire process of purchasing a firearm in California. They clearly were subject matter experts on both firearms and the paperwork that goes along with a purchase. I felt that I was in very good hands and am ready to proceed with my purchase, thanks to their ability to convey a great deal of confusing information to a customer in a very easy to grasp manner. Based upon this experience, I have complete confidence in this store and their front line staff and would encourage anyone to try them out.

I Like them, but there is obvious favoritism... there was a 2 box limit on 9mm ammo, but an obviously wealthy older woman in front of me was able to purchase 7 boxes. Dissapointing to see that type of behavior considering this is the best gunstore in the valley at the moment.

Yes, this place does have a variety of firearms and much in stock but customer service is no where near good. Especially the females running the DROS paperwork....Extremely rude and answer questions with sarcasm. I live 3 hours away and went there thinking it was going to be a welcoming experience and I was totally wrong....if u think ur going to go there and get ur questions answered, think again. This one specific female that was doing my paperwork kept answering my questions with attitude, to the point where I didn’t even want to ask her anything anymore. Then she tried to say that my paperwork was all wrong and I had to get it fixed, mind u I have purchased a couple firearms arms 2 weeks prior to this AND I have already picked them up, but yet she said my paperwork was wrong, hmm? At the end of it all I STILL couldn’t get the firearm, which I had already paid for and now I have to pay a restocking fee. Definitely not going there at all

Great staff super friendly, first timer and I didn’t feel uncomfortable at all. Staff is very knowledgeable about all fire arms are are quick to help you with what you’re looking for! Only downside I can think of is the stuffiness in the building! Might need a filter change!

Variety of firearms but honestly very bad customer service this specific guy named nacho or nachito don’t remember pretty well but he was the rudest very nasty service. But I love my firearm though.

I was interested in doing several things in the store. I stood around looking at things on the wall trying to find prices on them. There is really not very many interested sales people there because after becoming frustrated by being a obvious bother, I headed to another shop and bought a Colt AR, Mags, Ammo and some accessories. I never did join the shooting range. Just to long a wait, all the time... just to get to shoot. Now I just head out to the local plinking areas. You had good stock nice facilities but your sales managers are not engaged neither are the salesmen and women they were in offices BSing and busy doing busy work to avoid customers they viewed as not gonna buy. Yeah that was a $3000 sale in my estimation not to include lost follow ups that have not happened now I just head over to the other shop shorter drive for me anyway. Three trips into your store in almost three years that was the last all about the same.

I had went to the shop on 4/10/20. Made a purchase, and since then I have been waiting on tbe background check. They said to call on the 20th (10 day period) and nothing changed. I have been calling once a week after and no one answers the phone. I continue calling and still no answer. This is unprofessional and starting to be a waste of my time. I know the paperwork says to check back by the 20th of this month which will mark 1 month waiting. If nothing has changed, Then I would go back and demand a full refund of my purchase so I can take my business elsewhere. If I could, I would give this place 0 stars.

Honestly, I was hoping to purchase my first firearm. I waited in line for 2 hrs. I had all my paper work ready, but unfortunately when it was my turn to buy the gun the store sales person checked my birth certificate and drivers license and said that it didnt match. I felt like he was racially profiling me just because, Im hispanic and I have two last names. He was speaking loud into my face infront of people making me feel really uncomfortable and ontop of that he smelled like alcohol. He mention that I only had the federal limits driver license card and I needed the real one. Overall very bad experince I wasted my time getting my firearm safety certification card why didnt they have an issue then.

I just bought my first gun today at this store. The staff was very professional and informative. Im new with firearms and they made me feel at home. I highly recommend This place for new gun owners.

Very helpful people there. Went to another place and they didnt even try to help me but somebody here help me with what I needed at the time and it didnt cost anything for them to fix the problem that I had with a BB gun.

So left and called believe a manager pick up an I asked him if they had a hand gun in stock an if he could look it up for me an he said we dont check used inventory but we have firearms in stock. so took my business to another shop jepson gun shop in yucaipa lil drive but worth it had everything in stock willing to answer questions. Didnt take 5 hours just to do yur DOJ. Wasnt standing around all dum. Took a total of 30 min for everything. An there willing to work with yu

I first popped in here earlier this month looking for a single action revolver, and as one reviewer put it, this place is like a Toys R Us for guns. I was helped out by one of the staff members named Smitty, who was extremely knowledgeable about single action revolvers. After a nice chat with Smitty, he helped me select a revolver based on both my budget and the activities I intended to use it for.I was so impressed with the customer service here that I also ended up getting a gold membership to use their indoor range the same day I picked up my revolver. While it gets a bit stuffy in the range due to the desert heat (mostly when its 44°C+, according to one of the employees), Ive found it to be tolerable and a heck of a lot better than going up to Berdoo Canyon.

I wouldnt give this place a star they stereo type. Judged me on appearance didnt think I was able to purchase outright. Left my personal info on a table .the list goes on and on. Ive been a member almost since it opened and this is a great range for pistol or rifle. They have a lot going on with various classes but Ive never had a problem getting a lane. The staff is professional and I just wish they were open Sunday! Large stock of ammo with good prices. If you need a safe--this is the place. Great selection of all kinds of weapons and supplies. They will do consignment and trade ins but prices arent as good as you may find elsewhere. Well run facility with good hours.

Great gun shop, havent had the chance to shoot here yet but my father has and he loves it. Knowledgeable staff can assist in answering any questions you have.Sometimes they get hung up talking to one person, they can improve by multitasking a little better.

First of all, I initially gave a not so good review mainly because of frustration over new California gun and ammo legislation. I was really upset and there seemed to be lots of confusion. It was the first day of the new legislation. However, the owner Ben called me after reading my comments and showed lots of class and integrity in explaining things and clearing up any musinderstandings. In fact, he did such a good job, it totally changed my mind. So much that I plan to become a member next week so I can use their gun range and continue doing business with them. I owe 2nd Amendment an apology and want everyone to know I experienced first class treatment. I have tons of respect for ownership that cares enough to call you, talk, listen and take the time to make their customers and clients happy.

The store has a great selection of firearms but the staffing is horrible. The last firearm i bought it took them almost 3 hours just to help me and get through my paper work. I even noticed that they were helping other people first that were behind me in line. Many other customers noticed that as well. Needless to say id rather drive out to Turners in San Bernardino.

Second Amendment Sports in Palm Desert is an incredibly well stocked store and a great place to purchase firearms, accessories, do Private Party Transfers or shoot in their 14 lane indoor pistol and rifle range.Like many others, I have been in Gun Shops all over Southern California where the owners and staff treat potential customers rudely and act like they are doing you a favor to take your money or answer any questions. I have never figured out that mindset. These people are knowledgeable, friendly, customer driven and helpful.Their on hand inventory is the largest I have seen in any store or chain in Southern California save for the large chain box store in Rancho Cucamonga. But, Second Amendment prices are better. Although they are fairly new in Southern California, they have already had 3 sales that beat any competitors prices.I have purchased firearms at this store and frequently shoot at their range where I am a Platinum Level member. At this level, not only can you reserve your spot on the range during busy times, but they will lend you, free of any additional charge, any of more than 45 pistol and rifles to use on their range. For other members, these are still for rent. The only caveat is that, to control the quality of ammo on their weapons (think reloads) only ammo bought from them can be used on their guns.They have the largest stock of ammo in Southern California but truth be told, their ammo prices are not cheap. Other than that, this place is highly recommended.

The facility is nice, but they gouge you on prices. If you just want to shoot a couple of times, not only do you have to pay a membership fee plus a per session charge, but additionally, they force you to purchase your ammunition and targets from them at nearly twice the going rate on line. There are a number of places in the area where you can shoot for free on BLM land...just call the local sheriffs office.

I thought it was going to be just an ordinary gun/range shop where the staff looked at you with suspicion. Not to mention upon arrival I would be greeted abrasively. Second Ammendment Sports has change that image by a welcome smile, friendly faces and, helpful staff. Thus I immediately became a member. I will tell others about Second Amendment Sports.Thank Guys!

I live in San Diego but traveled out to Palm Desert yesterday to make a ppt purchase. The seller had me meet him at Second Amendment Sports, just off the 10 freeway at Washington Street. Fantastic gun store with a HUGE selection of most everything, at fairly reasonable prices (they have an indoor range as well).A girl at the counter by the name of Leslie facilitated the ppt/dros, and aside from being extremely knowledgeable, couldnt have been sweeter. She took us into a separate room towards the back of the store that is dedicated for dros/paperwork. The transaction was the most seamless, smooth and quickest dros I have ever had.Kudos to Second Amendment Sports, they really have it together over there. Leslie is a great asset to them as well. I wish they were in my town!

Awesome place but tried to look at the knifes, and the gentalman behind the counter was on his phone most of the time. So I didnt end up getting the knife. The other gentalman there was actually busy. But the other had no interest in helping, and walked off when a friend came to his area. But all in all I still enjoy the store.

All right lets start off with this im 14 i shot my first gun here when i was 10.the staff was great the were super helpful i had only one problem here witch didnt bother me much it was the desert eagle it was a free rent a gun because my uncle has the premium member ship( totally not selling out for company) but it jammed because it was super dirty so you would fire a round and it would jam but thats ok we still shot the gun.every time ive been its super fun. any problem you have there the staff takes care of it i havent been mad at the staff once i like how there is a rife and pistol area.well thats my review thank you staff for making this place a blast.

Overall a waste of my time to go to this place I do not recommend this place because of the discrimination against Hispanic people. I had been waiting for an hour and they were helping other people that had gotten there before me. I was the only Hispanic client and the sales reprensentative just skipped me once, twice and after the third time I said enough is enough. I told them that I was next and that why had they been ignoring me for an hour, the response was I am sorry we are busy, we will be right with you in a minute. I walked out right away and told them that I would take my business somewhere else. Poor customer service, if you are about to purchase from this place avoid going there because all you will encounter will be rude and discriminatory people.
