I had my 1963 instrument cluster, my clock and my wiper motor done. They were absolutely fantastic looking! Everyone that see’s it is impressed. I was at a corvette show yesterday and gave Corvette Specialities name to a couple of gentleman. Very very pleased!!
I have been dealing with Brian since 2014. He is very good with everything he does. Please read though this review, you will save yourself time and money. Trust Me.I have restored 2 mid years: a 66 small block roadster and most recently a big block 65 coupe. Both cars were set-up for NCRS judging. So details matter…Brian did my dash, clock, glove box and steering column out of both cars. I would not go anywhere else to have this work done. But here is the part EVERYONE NEEDS TO READ. Recently, I needed my windshield wiper motor restored out of my 65. I was not aware that Corvette Specialties did wiper motors. I found a guy back east that came recommended through the Corvette Forum, his name was Steve, (that is all I will say). Sent him the motor, he got right on the job and returned it to me, and I promptly paid him his $300.00 fee. I was not able to install it in the car right away. But when the time came to install it, it had 1 speed and it was slow. The passenger washer could not hit the windshield. The car was scheduled to be judged in AZ and I did not have time to repair the motor. I LOST 24 points in operations after I paid $300.00. Steve should be ashamed of himself…After talking to Brian, I removed it from the car and gave it to him to restore. I just got it back and could not be happier. It has 2 speeds, activates the washer pump and low speed when I push the button and goes smoothly into the second speed with a turn of the wiper switch. The car is scheduled to be judged in the NCRS National in Palm Springs next month. Thank you Brian...I highly recommend Brian and Corvette Specialties and would not go anywhere else.
I had my instrument cluster on my 1966 Corvette restored by Brian at Corvette Specialties of MD West. I got it back last January and they did a awesome job. I mean the cluster is beautiful. They are great people to deal with. I just got around to installing it back into the car. I had some questions on the routing of the trip odometer cable and Brian took the time to explain what I had to do. Great customer service. I would recommend Corvette Specialties of MD West for all your cluster and gage restorations.Steve VanZile
We are restoring a one owner 1966 Corvette Coupe. The vehicle had been disassembled in the 1990’s and stored in a garage. The gauges were original and intact but the faces of the gauges were extremely faded and the needles all showed their age. I called Brian at Corvette Specialties of MD West and we sent the gauges in for restoration. The work was done in a timely fashion and gauges look terrific! Thank you Brian😊J. Patrick
Ive been in the process for a while restoring a 66 Sting Ray. CSofMDW has rebuilt the headlight motors and restored the instrument cluster. I also bought side exhaust covers from them. Their service has been excellent, and the quality of their work couldnt be better. The exhaust covers are as advertised--no wrinkles on the curve, and just excellent workmanship. I gave Brian the directive to use his best judgment in restoring the instruments to their original look and finish. He could have done much more than he did to charge me more, but my trust was not misplaced, and he did a superb job by doing just what was necessary. I heartily recommend Brian and his crew for any work needed on a C2 or C3.
They did a great job on my accessory gauges,Right from the moment they were received I was given a estimated date of completion. When they got to my parts they went through them and came back with what they thought should be replaced and what can be reused.Along with pricing for each piece, great experience all aroundAlso very well packaged
These guys are very knowledgeable, helpful and their service is excellent. the products that i have ordered have been of a high quality and delivered without any issues. i am not an expert on my 63 corvette however these guys are. they are honest and upfront with their recommendations whether they carry the part or not.
AWESOME. Bought a 66 coupe that had been sitting for 20 years. Fixed a boatload of mechanical issues. Last one was the binding in the speedo and tach. Speedo reading slow. Odometer broken.I removed the speedo/odo and shipped it to them. They took it apart, told me what was needed and gave me options to spruce up some other things while they were in there. I took them up on a couple of their ideas. Great ideas, fair prices. Even shipped the old parts back to me.Speedo looks great. Odo works now! I should be back on the road this weekend. Just as soon as I get my 2001 M5 down off the jack stands and out of the way...
Had my instrument cluster reconditioned recently. It came out looking spectacular! The thing that I was most impressed with however, was the level of detail I received about the reconditioning. There was no item that wasnt given a thorough review and then explained on the invoice. I cant imagine a more knowledgeable person than Brian and his team when it comes to this work.
I needed new spinners for the hubcaps of my 1964 Corvette. My usual shopping sites either didnt have them, or appeared to have a poor quality reproduction. Upon searching the internet, I discovered Corvette Specialties of MD West, who offered a GM quality spinner. The asking price was equal to or better than other sites, and I also discovered that there are NO shipping charges. Given that, upon placing my order, I shortly received an email from Brian of Corvette Specialties informing me that he corrected my order to account for a discount that was being offered at the time. I didnt realize at that moment that Brian is the owner of the business (which started in 1977). I was thoroughly amazed that the owner of such a company would review such a small order and then voluntarily offer a price discount. I received the spinners today, and they look great (solid chrome, no pitting in casting, etc.). These folks appear to specialize in restoration of parts. Had I known of Corvette Specialties of MD West providing such quality service years earlier, I would have and could have had my wiper motor, headlight motors, gauges, and a few other items tended by these folks. (Check out the interesting items that they have posted as part of their online catalog)
The worst service and cheap quality of product you can find in the market.Dont waste your time on that guy that speaks so much and didnt deliver. All of their products are made in china, very poor quality!!
Brian was immensely helpful in the restoration of my 57 Corvette wiper motor and the calibration of the fuel and temperature gauges. The wiper motor looks absolutely new as GM built it.The wiper motor appears as if pulled out of a GM box in 1957.Not only did Brian have to restore the wiper motor, he had to repair and change out incorrect parts from a prior restoration attempt by a restoration service in Midlothian Ill.Thank you Brian
I have worked with This company years ago an Brian was a huge help when I restored a 1959 vette with not only the parts they carry but the knowledge they have He helped me redo that car over the phone and it turned out Great I still deal with them on my 1965 and just had my head light motors rebuilt they did a Fantastic job Thanks Brian and every body at Corvette Specialities West
Sent my 64 Corvette tach and fuel gauge their very professional back in no time great job and the price was right very nice professional people
