Thank GOD For KATE & CAROLYN. I went in to Ulta Upset because Tarte has discontinued my face makeup that I have used for YEARS! Ive ordered a few other products to try and was very unhappy with them. I have extremely sensitive skin and cannot use alot of things. Those 2 girls SAVED my life and my face. Carolyn found me a face powder (Celebration Full Coverage Powder Foundation) that doesnt irritate my skin & Kate recommended a few products to help with my rosesa (Sunday Riley Luna Night Oil). These ladies are very knowledgeable of products and skin conditions. Definitely an asset to have working for your company! :) Thank you!

I received friendly service from Jenny and was introduced to some new products that I liked. COVID Safety is in place so you are still not able to try on any make-up but can return it if you need to.

I finally went into this store and it was not what I expected. It was better. It is so nice to have all your make up choices in one place and the employees are great help. They also have perfumes and hair products and much more. I will definitely come back.

Seriously, I wouldn’t even give the store one star. From the second I walked in, and the two associates behind the counter just stood there talking about their personal business and didn’t even pay attention to the customer walking into the store. To the lack of knowledge of the product that the store has, comes right out when you ask anybody a question. No one in that store knows anything about the products. It’s terrible! That makes me never want to go into another Ulta beauty again. I’m going to Sephora from now on because at least their associates are trained and they’re knowledgeable about the products that they sell.

Ive gotten my hair done at the salon several times, Pearce always does an amazing job! I wanted to go blonder, but he made sure to prioritize the health of my hair (he told me my ends would melt off of i went lighter lol so i got a trim). Im on a hair journey to blonde from super dark hair and hes been walking me through the whole process! I cant recommend Pearce enough! Hes funny and friendly, willing to talk about anything and everything when ive been at the salon for hours on end (i have a lot of hair!)The Salon Manager Megan is very attentive to what all the hair stylists are doing, and if any problems arise, shes right there to fix them. I really felt she listened to my hair problems and recommended me some awesome products! Usually Im not one to strike up conversations with the retail workers (I like to be in and out, keeping to myself), but her bubbly personality and product knowledge about everything in the store were so refreshing!!The last one I have to rave about is Jermaine. I went in last minute to pick up some makeup for my 3 year anniversary w my bf (he was surprising me w dinner :)). I showed him my dress and he recommended me the perfect eyeshadow and even told me how to apply it! Well, I actually got engaged that night, and when I came into the store the next time, he remembered me. I showed him my new ring, and he seemed so genuinely excited for me and even wanted to see pictures from the night!!Overall, Ive always enjoyed the services I get there!

I love the haircare section of the store and the prices are also decent compared to Sephora or Sally Beauty. I do find it a bit too large for cosmetic shopping with too many options which keeps staff from being informed about all their products. I do; however, like the man that wears the white lab coat, he has always been super informed and helpful. I was in about one month ago and didnt see him which was disappointing.I wish you would have offered curbside during the lockdown as my hair was in desperate need of treatment. I ended up using drugstore products which did not meet my expectations. Im happy that you are re-open and Im able to get haircare once again.

Its annoying if you bought products with the annual 20% off coupon off everything, and you simply want to exchange those products for different shades, that its up for debate if theyll honor that original coupon... then the manager has to get involved. So much drama...Should just be a given.

The one Star is for the salon. Had an appointment they told me I needed to come with “washed hair”. When I get there the tattoo guy tells me he can’t take me because he doesn’t have the additional 15 minutes to blow dry my hair. Absolutely terrible customer service I’ve never gone to a salon that couldn’t squeeze a blow dry in.

Love coming into Ulta! However, the employees stare you down the minute you come into the building and follow you around. Makes me super uncomfortable! I’m just trying to mind my business and buy my things, the one in LQ feels much more welcoming.

I love Ulta because I travel quiet a bit and they are usually wherever I land. They have good quality products and items 8 like and use frequently. Staff usually know the products well and are helpful. Got a great deal that the cashier told me about on buy two get one free on a lip gloss my mom uses.

The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because the stations where you get q-tips, mascara wands, sponges, cotton rounds etc. were mostly out, and I had to keep walking all the way across the store to get more

Huge selection, wide variety of products, something for every budget. Everything you can think of - cosmetics, skin care, hair care and color, dryers, curling and flat irons, nail care, foot care, teeth whiteners, body washes, etc, etc. They have products for all ages. The employees are super friendly and helpful, and they have a hair salon that provides a full range of services. They have testers for most of the cosmetics so you dont have to just hope for the best when you purchase something.

A beautiful stylist with long dark hair and big beautiful eyes (her name escapes me) helped the two of us with hair products and then makeup, as if she were a daughter. Her knowledge of the products was a tremendous help and so much fun! Thank you!

Love this store! They have the best customer service and friendly. I had a coupon for half off a product through online purchase but unfortunately my account was having issues. I called customer service and was told I had to go in-store and they can place the order for me since it was only an online deal. Went down there and still could not order it, but the manager allowed me to use the coupon in store. She was so sweet and patient. I truly enjoy shopping there, plus their point system is amazing.

Not very happy this time. Here from Canada on holiday. I spent almost $250 at the Palm Desert location and noticed a short while later that an item on sale was rung in at full price. I pulled up the item online to show the clerk and she said no - not unless you have it delivered. So I said I would return right there and order online and pickup in store at their location. But was then told -that wouldnt work either. Had to be delivered to a house address. The diff was $12. I dont understand why this was such an issue. I was very tempted to return the whole $250 but we leave in a few days and several items were gifts.Their customer service needs a reality check. NOT HAPPY with my experience here. Wont return to this store.

Vanessa was my hair dresser and she did a very nice job for the standard $40 cut. She was really sweet and gave helpful hair-care tips. She made the experience pleasant and I would definitely recommend.

I have always loved this place; they have the nicest, most respectable staff members especially Vanessa whom works with Ulta Beauty. I wasnt very sure on what to do with my hair considering I have never put any color in it BUT I wanted a change. she simply explained everything then proceeded to do an outstanding job!!!!!! This facility is more than 5 stars and will definitely worth the time and money spent!

Not to impressed with some of the prices. There is a lot of variety. They offer a rewards program type of thing for free but just to get a free chapstick you have to nearly spend $500. (Exaggerating) There isnt any drinks for sale in store so if your thirsty, you have to walk next door to Best Buy. Parking lot well lit at night and restrooms were clean.

I have a girl that has been doing my hair for years at Ulta. My grey was growing out so fast and she was out of town so I was talked into seeing the MANAGER. Had been getting a conservative purple steak on 1 side and she wound up bleaching and doing high lights of purple. Not only was it expensive but then she tells.me I have to shampoo with cold water...which is not happening. Just finished another 2 hours with my regular girl to fix it, and again it was expensive! This has cost me 500 not to mention the 4 hours it took! I will never stray again!

This review is for the specific Ulta located in Palm Desert in the Target shopping center, not Ulta in general. Ulta, in general, I LOVE. Worst/best thing was getting my Ulta charge card! LOL The location in Palm Desert I avoid unless I have to go in. My last three visits have been horrible. On 2 of them I was followed around the store and eyeballed. Every time I turned around someone was shadowing me and I couldnt browse without someone else popping up and asking if Im ok. The first time this happened, I chalked it up to possibly in my head but the second time, and it was worse on that occasion, I vowed to never return. Both times during checkout I felt such a weird vibe I couldnt get out of there fast enough. I returned this weekend because I was crushed for time and had to pick up a couple of presents for my sons girlfriend and didnt have time to drive to the one in La Quinta since I was closer to the PD one. I wasnt followed around but when checking out the girl at the counter was rude and acted like I was dumb. She was snippy and made me feel like she thought I was an idiot telling me to do things as I was doing them in a tone that was not nice at all. It was yet another weird and unpleasant experience. Ill be shopping at the LQ location or online from now on.

Every associate and manager you encounter from the salon to the sales floor is always helpful enthusiastic and willing to go the extra mile for customers.

Everyone at this location is amazing. Hands down best experience ever. Took my 17yr ild daughter in for eyebrow wax and Giselle went above and beyond.When they learned she had prom today they did a full face of makeup for her without an appointment, made her feel so fabulous and confident and really just exceeded all of.oir expectation. Another employee, Rachel, also helped and even stayed after her shift to finish up her look.Ive been unimpressed with the service at Ulta more often than not, but usually visit a different location. I am so thrilled we came here today instead. We will be shopping the Palm Desert Store from now on.

Went in with my mom and a very rude caucasian male employee made us feel uncomfortable and was very rude. When we were standing in line we saw him looking at us with another worker and both of them were laughing. We will not return that was the worst customer service ive ever gotten at any store it made me want to put a review so other people dont go here.

I went to Ulta Beauty to ask for help with my foundation, concealer, contouring makeup. I needed to overhaul and update my regimine. I had the pleasure of meeting Bailey. Bailey was a specialist and expert in recommending product and was knowledgeable with all the different lines at Ulta. After I told Bailey I needed hypo-allergenic she listened carefully to my needs and asked several qualifying questions. Bailey performed a demonstration with me as her model so I could watch her apply each product and talk about technique. I left ULTA with a few products and a list of all the recommendations written on a piece of paper. I left with what I came in for and I will be back for more product. Thanks ULTA and Bailey.

Since when did Ulta start hiring licensed dermatologists?I went into the Palm Desert location a few weeks ago to look for a new foundation. I am a very fair skinned individual, and Ive always had difficulty finding foundations that would match my skin tone. So, I went to Ulta to find guidance from the employees to basically help me find something.A very nice young woman approached me and I told her that I was looking for a new foundation to match my skin. She sat me down, we tested a few things out, and she recommended a few other skin care products. She was super sweet, very gentle, and she kept telling me I was so cute. I wish I could remember her name, because she truly deserved a raise because her customer service was excellent.However... a second lady approached both of us to help us out with different products. Sadly, the first woman had to leave us because other customers were in need of help. So this second woman starts going on and on about how red my face is and the tiny bit of acne I have. Yes, I am aware I have some acne. My eating habits arent the best, Im still a teenager whos going through the acne phase, and my acne is contributed to hormones. And yes, I am aware that my face is red. I am an athletic individual who is CONSTANTLY outside. This second woman said I need this product, and that product, and added that I had rosachea. Um, no I dont. I have been to a dermatologist before, and not once did they state me having rosachea. I was slightly offended by this statement. Her customer service was not nice. I did not like her. She was slightly rude. Since when did she become a dermatologist?

I took my SO here to get her some make up. I figured it would be just a run of the mill store. But I was wrong. Everyone of the employees in this store were knowledgable and friendly. We are going to continue shopping here.

I bought a maybelline concealer from this ulta location and it was Clearly a used product that was resealed. When I opened it the cap was full of makeup and all around the tube had makeup. The resealing job was poor too. It was quite obvious it was resealed but I just thought it was maybe defective because I didn’t think ulta would sell used products.When I returned to the store the cashier insisted they didn’t reseal products but the proof was right in front of me. They did not own up to it nor apologize for selling me a used product. That is completely unsanitary, wrong, and against their policy. Shame on management!
