Great store. Very clean and organized. Produce selection was very fresh and organized. This store is a one stop shopping
Why does your store hours say you close at 11 PM but when I get there at 10:53 for one item there’s a guy guarding the door not letting people in? I’ll go across the street to Carr’s now. I went to Three Bears directly after at 10:56 and they happily let us in their store.Q
Dont eat any food they prepare unless you want food poisoning. Generally, I would avoid this store altogether. Go to Palmer
I dont know, WHAT TF, has happened to Palmer location. Its gone downhill SO fast. I no longer accept its Covid Stress no. People have gotten TOO used to using COVID as an EXCUSE to be rude, combative, argumentative, and physically aggressive.THATS THE EMPLOYEES!! A cashier turned off her register beeper & was double charging people (myself included), another wanted to fight at self-checkout (she looked ridiculous- throwing down for $22 in arbitrary items because you went too fast & blamed the customer, if I hadnt been honest & pointed out her mistake, Id have walked out with a LOT of free items - already in my bag. So, youre welcome! Be nice & understand. No. Thats telling the employee they can treat the customer (there by CHOICE) like a thug & get away with it.Im seriously disappointed.
We had come into the store close to closing, being that were from out of state we were unaware of their closing time. As we were heading back to grab protein shakes for our trip back home the next day we were intercepted by a younger gentleman who started pointing his finger at us and told us in a very rude tone that we had to go check out they were closing I explained to him I need a protein shake as we were leaving at 3:00 a.m. in the morning and they wouldnt be open. We were told to go to the grocery store across the street. Which we did. Worst customer service ever.
By far the best Fred Meyer store I have ever shopped at! Extremely clean, well organized, friendly staff, aesthetically pleasing design, and the most epic mountain views surrounding the store. It’s probably the best And most scenic Fred Meyer in the United States. Go here. You won’t be disappointed!
Im worried about Lesa. Someone should check on her
Anna the florist in Fred Meyers saved the day! She listened to my horrendous story after ordering flowers from Avas online floral store. I had paid extra money to have flowers sent to my daughter before one oclock. She and her husband were just celebrating giving birth to her 1st child. I had called Avas floral To check the status of the order and found to my horror that they hadnt even Begun to process the order with a local florist yet. I did go to the local florist to pick up the flowers but when I got there they didnt have the picture that my husband and I had stayed up the night before ordering.Nor did the local Florist have hardly any flowers to choose from in the store.I was appalled at the arrangement that she called a special arrangement that I had paid over $80 4.So then I passed by Palmer Fred Meyers and called Ana on the phone. She was cheery and upbeat and when I got there she invited me in to the cooler with a fresh flowers were and together we chose the flowers. She and I arranged the flowers together and the travesty turned into an adventure! I was so delighted! My daughters Arrangement even included lilies! Thank you again Anna from Fred Meyers in Palmer… You will be my go to person for floral arrangements in the Future!
Better prices and best variety of products in town. Gone are the days of wal mart having the best prices. Seems like theyre way more expensive now than in the early 90s of my youth. Therefore we go to Freddies now. As i said before the prices cant be beat and Ive been pleasantly surprised by Freds variety. They actually carry THIS product?!?! That feeling is why i am repeat customer
Pros- Nice store, great selection, friendly employees.Cons- Their pricing tactics are borderline dishonest. They constantly manipulate prices up and down on the same item over a period of several weeks. So for example, the same Fred Meyer butter is anywhere from $2.50 to $5 a pound depending on the week or even day of the week. Same with all dairy and meat products, soda, bread, you name it. Clothing is really bad, they will raise the price and then put it ‘on sale’ for the same price it was a week ago. The $75 work boots go on sale for 25% off, but the new tag is $99.The fuel rewards are tricky too. Points expire in 60 days, but the newest points get applied first, so you end up losing previous points even though they carried over to the current month. Plus their fuel is always 10 cents higher than across the street.
To many mice.
Really great selection since they opened up this bigger one. Brings a lot more options and variety that helps reduce the need to drive out elsewhere like Wasilla etc. Great local selections as well for tourists.
The meat market options seemed endless. So many great items made in house. The produce was well presented and all very fresh. Wonderful store!
Dawn in customer service is an angel! So helpful. Thank you!
Easily the best shopping place in Palmer. Prices are perhaps a little higher than the one in Wasilla, but otherwise very similar. Wide selection makes this a convenient alternative to driving all the way to Walmart or Target.Staff is friendly and helpful and the parking is noticeably better than many other Fred Meyer locations.
The PALMER FM is exemplary in customer service and meeting community requests every day. The store manager leads by example and praises his staff, “I love coming to work, they are the best!” Every PALMER FM employee should be commended for making this the best place to shop in our little town. Thanks so much!
They manipulate their prices so regularly and without thought, that a small bag of name brand chips will be as expensive as a large bag of chips. After I showed a manager he explained he could really help me out and take $2 off of a $8 bag of chips... Walmart doesnt look so far away.
Nice store, very clean, friendly. Produce could be better. Sometimes I tried to buy cantaloupes on sale, but they all got bruised really badly. Overall, great customer service.
I like the one-stop shopping of Fred Meyer, especially as a vegetarian. I can also buy shoes and housewares too! Love the accessibility of Starbucks here as well.
I love shopping at Fred Meyers. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Plus I can get just about anything I need . Thanks Freddie!
The store is clean, the aisles are wide and clear, the staff is friendly and offers help. The produce and natural/bulk foods are fresher here than at their Wasilla location. Their parking lot is easier to manage than other busy stores.
Palmer Fred Meyer has a nice layout, though it did take some time to get used too after the move from their last location. Everything seems logically located in reference to similar items. I appreciate the larger selection of organic options and the liquor store has a decent selection with the nice option of ordering something if they dont have it. The staff is super friendly and the prices are fair.
This location has so much more of a variety of products than the other smaller Fred Meyers. Also every time i have gone in there whenever one of the managers walk by they say hello and ask if i need any help. Top notch customer service.
Always great friendly associates. I have never not had one greet me as soon as they notice me. Thats awesome good job Fred Meyer Team!
I absolutely ADORE this store and their lovely employees! I can only imagine the employees like working there because they seem to be in a great mood. Even the other customers are quite lovely.Palmer is a rather small town, but this Fred Meyers does an exceptional job at carrying a diverse selection of healthy foods (even vegan!). I eat a whole food, plant based diet, and I can truly find everything I need to accommodate my needs, and itspleasantly surprising how well this store stocks items youd think youd only find in big cites.A shout out to all the checkers who are always, always friendly and courteous! Thanks Palmer Fred Meyer!!!
Nice place. Good hours. Could be better rewards programs though
I vote Fred Meyer over Carrs any day. Good location. Good selection. Good rewards. Very happy all around.
Great Fred Meyers! The store is clean and layout is nice, selection is pretty good. Some items are certainly more expensive than in Anchorage, but I assume thats to be expected.
Since moving locations here in Palmer, parking is terrible. Theyve also changed the store layout to emphasize their natural and organic products, meaning everything else takes longer to find. Honestly, I only have three stars because they have a good loyalty program.
Palmer Fred Meyers is one of the updated remodeled stores. The lay out can be a bit confusing at first. But the employees at this store, were very kind and helpful in finding what we needed.
Saw several employees not covering thier noses with the mask. I guess they hire idiots
Great store. Good produce. Friendly service. Enjoyable place to shop.
My family LOVES Fred Meyer! The Palmer store is a great store! Good selection of produce and we love the “grind your own” peanut butter! A+++
Extremely nice store. Very and I mean very clean. Shelves are well stocked and the employees are very friendly. Highly recommend this store.
They are good but not as good as three bears they Cary a lot of stuff in there where house like store and I get really good people who are really nice to me and they are very helpful to me when I do my shopping there.
The new Freds in Palmer is very well laid out. Easy to locate what you are needing.
Good staff but its always crowded and you are sure to see some of Wasillas finest community members doing what they do best....make everyone around them uncomfortable. I only go here when I have no other choice
Love the bakery/deli, the best chocolate cake with whipped frosting!
They had what i needed and the checkout was fast and easy. Convenient unless
Nice new store. Great produce section. The only pain is the parking lot. Maybe it will be less full over time when the newness of the store wears off. Currently it is always full.
Love this store. You will get your exercise, as I do. Not familiar where everything is located. Very large store for Palmer Alaska
A nice place to stop and shop for groceries. There is no clothing department or auto/home improvement etc though. I stopped in here while visiting from out of state and forgot how terrible Alaska imported produce is from the Lower 48. Oh well.... its what youd expect I guess.
IF they had crumpets, there would be five stars. Only english muffins. Gross.
The Palmer Fred Meyers is perfect for Palmer. It has a great selection on food, local produce, meats, Seafood, cheeses, a bakery.... you name it. The organic selection is bigger than most other options available.
Love fred Myers they take most of my paychecks. Beats Wal-Mart any day.
My favorite Fred Meyer store for three reasons. 1) I typically do the clicklist because it is so much more convenient and I do not have to chase around my daughter while I shop. The staff is always friendly and helpful. 2) The way the store is organized makes it easier to find items. It might be smaller than other Fred Meyer stores but it has more products that I use and more selection to choose from (for example the vitamins and the beauty care). 3) The selection of Hispanic products, not just mexican items. Although it is limited compared to the lower 48, I am able to get specific items here like sofrito, sazon, and gandules that I cannot get elsewhere in the Valley. I do hope they expand this section to include more variety but this is awesome that I can atleast get these items without having to travel to Anchorage .
This Fred Meyer is nice and clean. I love it. The only thing thats unfortunate is that there are less grocery options at the Palmer Fred Meyer compared to the Wasilla Fred Meyer.
It was the best everything I needed was there and earning the point was great and good services
Nice new store. Except the loss prevention team are just very obvious and seem to follow for no reason. I watched them follow an elderly couple and heard many other cases of aggressive pursuing by the team from HONEST shoppers.
A great place to shop they have everything you need. Very friendly staff. All around a good place and good stuff.
Shopping is so so. Not much for variety although the produce is okay. Great cheese section. Parking is terrible. Not designed for Alaska.
My family shops here and prefers this Freds to the one in Wasilla. Easier to park and get in and out of the store. Even if it is smaller with less selection.
Cashiers very nice and employee helpful finding what I was needing.
Great for quick shopping or full grocery hauls. Plenty of self check outs, which is perfect for someone like me, who hates talking to people. Cheaper than across the street (Carrs)
Love the people working. They cant keep anything in stock and have discontinued more of the products i use. Sad.
Generally have good to excellent produce and it seems to be the only place in Wasilla that I can get whole being bulk coffee
Awful service. Rude cashiers and the P.I.C that I asked for help in the toy department, acted as if by asking him a question about a toy, I had ruined his entire day. The deli was almost depleted of hot foods and it was just about dinner time. The price gouging isnt worth not taking the drive to wasilla.
I have been there hundreds of times since it opened, and NEVER HAD AN EXPERIENCE THAT WAS LESS THAN EXCELLENT. Thank you, Fred Meyer.
As all Fred Meyers it was clean and everyone was courteous. The gentleman behind the meats counter was even helpful in giving me some tips on what to pair some stuffed breasts I got.
Fred Meyer always excels in quality products. This store has an interesting fun layout. Like all Freddys though it can be difficult to find an associate when needed. Freds used to be better than Walmart in this regard but now they are on even footing. Still based on quality alone Ill always pick Freds over Walmart. Lovely produce, sorry I didnt take a picture.
Variety of products. I really like the organic food and product section. Very nice and helpful customer service in all areas of the store.
Awesome new store okay amount of selection but could use the space better to enlarge departments to bring in more merchandise. Example: Childrens clothing.
I love this Fred Meyer. Its super clean and the employees are great. They have everything you need. I recommend this Fred Meyer.
The store is pretty new and is beautifully set up, everything is organized, and the staff I dealt with were awesome. Definitely worth the time to spend your money here.
Fred Meyers does well. The quality of the produce is good and prices tend to be cheaper than Safeway. Employees seem very friendly and eager to help if they see you wandering around the store.
Clean, easy to find things and the cashier was curtious.
Awesome, enjoyed the friendly staff and service. In Alaska on vacation and so glad I found Fred Meyer
Love Palmer Freds. Awesome staff, always clean and great sales
Beautiful store, great selection. Love the sushi counter, and salad bar has some great options.
The checkout guy was helpful. I dont like self checkout, but the Fred Meyer self checkout guy did it for me. People seemed friendly and asked if I needed assistance.
Freds is the place I go for my regular groceries. Love the Turkey Hill raspberry tea they have.
Some times very personable, sometimes hard to find help. Great pharmacy and customer service desk.
Usually have the best produce in town
Big rush after earthquake. Things running smoothly.
Very presentable and laid out nicely. Will definitely be visiting again
I shop at Fred Meyer in Palmer I love that the employees are kind and helpful. I appreciate a bigger store it’s awesome.
I love this Freddys !!! Its great to have in Palmer, somewhere to get clothes and shoes and household items and not have to drive all the way into Wasilla or Anchorage..
Great staff, Not quite a super center but has the basics in every department
I love this Fred Meyer and the employees are so friendly. Almost worth driving here from Anchorage.
This was my first visit to the Palmer Store and i was really impressed with the friendly cashiers and other employees who helped me find the products i was looking for i will make a point of shopping at this store again in the near future.
I was in the Palmer store today talked with an employee named Hank he was very courteous and helpful
Love this quaint marketplace. Try the eggs! Theyre amazing!!
The Palmer Freds is probably the nicest Freds in Alaska, awesome food court, also has a sporting goods section. So if your heading up north, only place in Palmer to pick up some ammo or camp food.
Fred meyer wonderfull store great customer service
The staff in this Fred Meyer are among the friendliest Ive ever experienced! It is clear that customer service is a core focus for everyone in the Palmer, AK Fred Meyer! Bravo Palmer Fred Meyer for setting yourselves apart.
At had the best bagger Ive personally seen and the sheer size of the store is amazing.
Vegetarian delight, large selection of vegetarian and vegan foods are sold here chilled and frozen and doesnt cost a lotTHANK YOU
They have the Best meatsThe parking lot was packed. We luckily found a parking spot.
Great store. The customer service is helpful, and the selection of items, food and other things is exceptional.
Nice checker. Miss the old store though.
Great as usual.Ive never had an issue with the Palmer Freds
Palmer Fred Meyers pharmacy is the worst pharmacy Ive EVER encountered. I have been on meds since I was 17 now 40, so Ive been to a lot of pharmacies all over the state. Ive been treated as if I were a criminal trying to get some very normal medications, no controlled substances. Its redicullous and demeaning. I cant imagine what people go through if they were to get more controlled substances Im sure its not healthy or good. My doctor told me to switch pharmacies and the one Im going to now listens and responds with kind words. Never do I feel Im looked down on or judged. I do not recommend going to Fred Meyers pharmacy in palmer, because ive been treated extremely rudely and theyre very demeaning, theres no working with them. Its like its a privelege to get thier services, ive put up with it for 4 years and im done. Id rather pay more somewhere else than be treated the way i have there. Enough said.
Great place for quick shopping
Love the cheese and olive bar. Great employees too.
Getting better on their prices everyday
Nice home grown selection!
Its an Everything store on-par with a Super Wal-Mart or Tesco, and its absolutely massive. The store is well-kept and the prices are regionally competitive. Very crowded, though.
Great staff, very helpful. When the new site is finished this will be a great stop indeed!
Very nice cashiers and friendly service. Love that they have free fruit for kids while shopping.
