Good quality furniture and new mattresses at really good prices. I bought a queen mattress and frame there a year and a half ago and its still good quality.

I just dropped by Rescues Treasures (RT). What a great place. RT has many many nice things. You can probably find anything you are looking for there. I was looking for something a little strange. I needed a rolling knee scooter, for my broken foot. And guess what, RT had the perfect scooter for me. It was gently used, but his merchandise looked to be in perfect shape...including the scooter I purchased. To top this off, the owner Jack was super nice to me!!!! Wow! The owner is beyond rude. A friend of mine asked me to pick up some furniture she had purchased there. The owner was immediately rude, telling me he had reservations, about me getting it! I own Flip Flop Furnishings, so Im no newbie. He then start arguing about what kind of transportation I have. I told him I had a van. He then berates me on how Im going to get it in...Im thinking ..just like I do 20 times a day. He then tell me that I have to have tools to get the mirror off myself. Can you believe? Wow...if you want great furniture minus the patronizing beratement....please look me up on 5 mile..offer up...Craigslist...etc. I would never treat someone like that in my life! I value my customers and treat them like family. I guess he thinks he can put down people and still get business.

My wife and I just purchased a handsome high quality vintage bird cage this afternoon from Jack. We live in Sarasota and his unique shoppe is in Palmetto so there is some distance for us to go. We sent several emails about this purchase prior to actually going north to see him and he was prompt to answer each email inquiry in detail and with concern that we be happy and------he was concerned that even our bird be happy with his new home! Yes--Jack loves animals too! His furnitures are in one building while the more delicate and interesting vintage and antique decor items are wonderfully arranged in a beautiful airconditioned roomy showroom type of environment. It had a clean comforting scent of an Amish vanilla pie in that room. Quite the elegant experience beyond junk shopping! Jack was smiles and friendly and offered assistance as we loaded the large cage into our Jeep. I think if you go once you will want to loyally be a friend and shop there anytime you need something!!! His prices are that good and the quality of what he sells is great. You will not be disappointed. We read through the other reviews here and think the one left by a competitor is pretty rude and way off the mark! Makes me question her motives. Our review is honest and straight forward. When you see mostly 5 star to 1 star that great a difference by experience is often due to personality of the reviewer and not necessarily the business being reviewed. Take that into consideration. Previously months ago---we purchased a rug for our dining room and then also a fancy tablecloth, both items in as new condition with no issues--- so this was a second trip for us!! We traveled a good distance and would not hesitate to shop again at his stores--two separate small buildings across from each other accessed by ample parking lot. Such an easy location!!!!!! He does post on Craigs so maybe you will find you will have the pleasure of doing business with his family run shoppe! We encourage everyone to go and find the thing you always wanted!! I had visited this place a month before a lady there was very nice,i went back a couple of days ago an if u want to meet scrooge in person hes there ask for the owner,i was treated with no respect not to mention what i took to him to sell was worth well over 300 he gave 20 an told me i told you that you wouldnt like it,not having any choice in the matter because were having finacial hardship people like that make people in need feel worse than what they do anyway everything i took was brandnew all i ask for was at least 50 to get groceries, i will keep him in my prayers that one day he never knows whta its like to be hungry.....
