Very Impressed and my new go-to fishing shop whenever Im in Panama City.Greeted immediately once I entered and definitely felt a very mellow and chill vibe coming here. Felt comfortable and zero pressure to buy.The inventory is HUGE! Lots of goodies and a very clean sales floor without any fish or shrimp odor. The guy at the register was kind and gave great advise on where to fish given the windy conditions. Managed to hook some pompano and Spanish mackerel with the live shrimp I purchased there.Overall, very cool place and I dont mind driving 20+ min to get my bait here. Hands down, the BEST local tackle shop in Bay County. One stop shop for your boating and fishing needs. Ricky runs the show and displays the best customer service. There are two guys to remember, Chris and Jared. These guys are fired up about fishing and know their stuff. They are more than happy to help and treat you like family. My go to tackle store.

Best tackle shop I’ve ever been to! I always get the best service here. They are always friendly and professional. They have repaired reels and multiple rods for me. I went in today and they repaired two rods on the spot, strung a reel and gave my son numerous fishing tips. You just don’t find places like this very often any more.

Great store with very friendly employees. Chris the rod and real guy is a fishing subject matter expert on set ups. If you are looking for a fishing rig he will show you all the different applications and help you find the best set up for your fishing style and species. This will be my go to tackle center in the area.

Very nice tackle store. Plenty of selection and inventory good selection of reels, rods, combos, hardware terminal tackle, frozen and artificial baits. Attire, shoes, sandles, marine hardware etc. Great prices on rope. Nice selection of coolers and bait coolers. They carry the Engel brand bait coolers they are awesome coolers. They do rod and reel repair as well.

Great experience! Very helpful. Went in to buy some crab cages, told the owner that I didn’t know anything about crab catching and he was helpful and knowledgeable. Followed his advice, took the two pots out and caught 15 crabs. This is my store for sport from now on.

My husband mentioned that he delt with Shawn. Art said he was so knowledgeable. Art ended up buying a beautiful rod and reel. Shawn rigged it up for him. So very helpful. Looking forward to going back when we return to Panama Beach.

Howell Tackle is what bait and tackle shops should be. The big box stores have taken the personal experience away from shopping. At Howell’s they will give you honest advice to ensure that you catch fish. They aren’t as concerned about how much you spend as they are wit your experience. I’m thankful to live close to such an awesome business. I will always support HTS!
