Customers arent a priority here in safety isnt a concern. Items are mismarked. Employees have a nonchalant Carefree attitude.

UPDATE: Went to the Kmart in LA. Ive been to the last Kmart in Mesa, AZ, Ive been to the Kmart in Chico, I think I even been to a Kmart in Utah or Colorado, and I must say, this is the nicest Kmart Ive ever been to.I hope it reopens. It will become a community hub that will bring back paradise.Really good prices, really nice looking stuff, I mean, stuff you could wear to a job interview type stuff. Also a really great bra and panties selection.

The cashiers have no sense of urgency. They will dedicate fifteen minutes or more to each transaction and then complain that they were not scheduled to work to justify their glib attitudes. Its time to change your approach or go away, Kmart. I would be happy with a self checkout section. Make some positive changes today, please.

This is the nicest Kmart Ive ever been to. Its clean, bright and so much to look at all nicely displayed. Some of the cashiers can be rude and slow but for the most part theyre friendly and enjoy their job. Its the only store like this in Paradise so its convenient and they always have huge sales. Im always surprised at the deals I get. I like this store.

I have not lived in this town for nearly a decade now (thank God), but the question was recently asked, “where was the worst customer service that you have ever experienced?” I’ve been to numerous countries and retail establishments throughout the world, but this K-Mart immediately came to mind. At first I was surprised that they were still in business, but I suppose that I shouldn’t have been. After all, it’s located in (the town called) “Paradise” where excellence is rarely demanded or expected.

Because it is cleaner and more stocked than most Kmart; Has a very friendly staff; the merchandise is more upscale than usual. It developed all around in a much better department store. You can see a lot of different changes.

Always have to wait in line forever. The last time I was there my check out lady (older woman) was VERY rude. She made every one behind me leave so she could do a price check. She helped another checker while I did my own price check. I got back before she even called for the price check. I still didnt the 30% off as marked.

They take advantage of you on prices. If they have something that sells well, they hike up the price. I have bought stuff here and then found the same thing for 1/2 that at Grocery Outlet. Also, womens clothes - there are never any XL on the decent priced stuff, only small sizes. I only go to this store if I absolutely have to!

Im glad we have this store. Im not always willing to drive to Chico for something I can grab quickly here. The service deck is straight up fantastic. I see the woman deal with impossible customers and never shows she is rattled. Very sweet, polite, and professional.My one problem is there is usually one checker open. Really?! Im here because I Eventually need to get back to work, in my lifetime. Other than that, give them a try.

Ill keep this review short...This Kmart sucks! Never has what I need, always looks trashy. Employees always seem to be put out to help you with anything. Please Kmart, leave our town!

This stores customer service is so bad is has become pure legend over the decades. The decor is stuck in 1989 (I still expect to see Nintendos and VHS tapes for sale!), the line times are glacially slow, the floors are dirty, the merchandise is cheap, and there is a chemical plastic smell that permeates the store.Still...the reason why everyone keeps coming back is because its literally one of the few stores in town where you can get a motley assortment of house-ware items and groceries all in one location (without driving to Chico).

Over the 8 years I have lived in Paradise I have had the worst customer service from this store. The staff are rude, unhelpful and seam to have all the time in world. Today I went in looking for vacuum bags for a vacuum they had on shelf and couldnt find them. Went to customer service desk to ask if someone could help me find them. I was told that just because they sold me the vacuum it doesnt mean they sell the dags in such a rude manner that I felt compelled to give review.

It is rare you see anything in its right place, everything feels out of order and the staffs knowledge of where items are is atrocious. They need to take a few courses on how to treat a customer, they lack soft skills in regards to customer service. Will not be back.

Pretty much what you would expect in one of the poorest counties in California. They have all the basic Kmart stuff!

Quick service today,, friendly helpful sales lady, had things I came in for, quick at the register, everyone was friendly, quick and ready to serve. Nice job to management and other employees.

This is only a place that you shop if you dont want to drive down to Chico and go to walmart. The selection, prices and customer service are always terrible.

My husband purchased perfume for me but accidentally got the wrong one. When I went to return the item they said since it was past 30 days they couldnt take it back. Now, I understand company policy being the manager of a retail store in Chico but the perfume was never opened, brand new in the box. The box was not dented or dirty. It was an item that only had to be placed back on the shelf and sold. I asked to see a manager to get the item returned as I thought Kmart would choose their customers over company policy. Unfortunately Kmart does not care about their customers and therefore they have lost my business. I recommend that everyone choose somewhere else to shop as this is not an establishement that cares about youre business.

They cash checks here for $1.00Their customer service is exceptional.

Always dirty and needs a remodel let alone general maintenance. The employees are moderately present and accountable for their departments but should be more knowledgeable as well.

Horrible staff. i.e i have gone in there multiple times to the electronics section to purchase a movie or whatever. and 9 times out of 10 im waiting for someone to come to the counter so i can check out. i remember i actually had to find someone to phone someone to allow me to check out. and all in all, it took a full 10 minutes. dont get me wrong, they have the stuff that i need... but they are slow and unprepared.

Im a student and recently called kmart regarding a summer position. The guy who attended me was very rude and seem to be in a rush (when in reality had all the time in the world). The first time I called he hung up, pretending to not hear me speaking. The second time I called him, he decided to provide me with a bit of information. I asked if there were any positions open and all he said was to check online!

Paradise California kmart never has things in Stock I stopped shopping there.. have not shopped there in 3 years

Y mom was in the Paradise, CA. Location, trying to claim a money order at western union. The woman who was assisting her was EXTREMELY rude, even combative to the point that when my mom called me, I could hear the woman raising her voice, almost yelling at my mom! She said that we needed to adjust the setup of the money order for her to be able to process it. When my husband asked to speak to her over the phone to walk through how to correct the issue, she stated that she was not going to walk him through hoe to help and that she didnt know how to process the money in minutes option so wed have to go to our local branch to send the money (keeping in mind, weve already processed the money order at this point). When we asked to speak to the supervisor, the supervisor refused to come to the phone. The clerk (original woman) then told my mom she needed to go to Safeway to process her request since she wouldnt help her. I called back to speak to the supervisor directly, was put on hold doe over 10 minutes when the line disconnected. When I called back, I was put on hold for another 10 minutes before hanging up. Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service.

Ok place. Big store, tons o stuff. A bit outdated but place has what you need.

The night manager was a complete hartless jerk the prices are falsely advertised, and when my son slipped on human poop all over the floor and hurt himself and getting covered in poop the manager was a cold non proffisional that couldnt even give us a complaint form or apologize and when I sead I wasnt leaving till I got one he gave me a blank sheet of paper and walked off

Staff is always nice and helpful.

Kmart is the go to place for just about everything. Sale prices are great!!

This K-Mart is a prime example of why this company is failing... Trash on floors, empty shelving, poor merchandising, and horrible customer service policies. This town needs a company to replace to sad excuse of a business.
