After over 40 years of living on the ridge, Ace Hardware definitely lost my business a couple of days ago. I was purchasing a wall bracket for a television. My husband and I took our time because we were measuring and making sure we purchased the correct size. Their theft employee followed us around like we were trying to steal something and even followed us to the register. He tried to play it off by striking up a conversation...with my 10 year old. Not OK. At best it was a poorly trained employee, at its worst point it was just weird and creepy. I will go to Tractor Supply or order things online in the future.

This hardware store is amazing. They have so many great things to choose from. I got lost in there because everywhere I looked I saw something that was very nice with quality that I needed and could use. Highly recommended

A hardware store that closes at 5pm and is closed on Sunday!?Never did I think I would see such a thing. Extremely inconvenient, especially since the Camp Fire destroyed the True Value hardware store in Magalia.Sure was hoping it would return...Nice people, clean and neat store, high priced which is true of every Ace hardware. Decent selection, absolutely horrible hours.

Car keys made free when you bring your own, just had two expedition keys made, no charge,you still have to program them yourself though, and Taylor in checkout was awesome. Very nice and friendly, very helpful too, thanks folks

The best ace hardware store Ive ever had the pleasure to shop. The service is notably one of the best ever. Most all departments have service personnel that are very experienced in the relevant parts. Ie: Plumbing department has plumbers that work that department. Electrical, has electricians that know what to recommend.

I went in to get batteries for a couple of watches & a small clock. The girl at the information desk found all the ones I needed & helped me install them. Such a sweet girl!

They had everything I went to get. That may not seem like alot to say but it is. Consider the fact that the town of Paradise was desimated by fire a couple of years ago. It is probably quite difficult to keep it stocked with the needs of a town that needs EVERYTHING.So thank you for your help in getting the tools I need when I need them.

They are very good when it comes to finding that hard to find hardware piece. There are plenty of customer service professionals who are willing to help you find what you need. I have been doing business with them for years and have never had a problem with their company. Helpful and friendly service. Check them out the next time you need that hard to find thingy your looking for, they just might have it, happy hardware hunting.

They have every nut & bolt size you need. They can give you the size by just glance.

A TRUE SOFTSPOT FOR THIS STORE. As a real paradiseon of 65 yrs i have a real liking for there great service and deals. Would be lost without them.

All the staff is very good except the heavy set dark haired gal as she made me feel like a criminal bringing some staples back, thought it was strange of her to ask my name when I tried to return them and immediately said theres no receipt for that item I thought I had it but remembered I returned a piece of plastic water line when I made the purchases along with the staples days earlier so she must have just not did the return on the line and called it even with staples. She was very rude and her attitude does not meet Ace quality for service. She was wrong and do belive some hanky panky was going on with that deal over a $4 box of staples . The other cashiers are great so I just avoid her line at all cost. The owner should take extra eyes on skipped returned items as normally when a person returns something they have to sign. She never asked and I did remind her that time about the water line when I was checking out. Ive been meaning to leave this review for awhile

Doesnt have lumber. Anything else needed to complete, finish or repair your home without going to the valley can be found at Thomass Hardware.

The staff is friendly and they offer a wide variety of items. For those of us up on the ridge it is all about the convenience of not having to drive down the hill for simple items but you will pay for this with their high prices.Sometimes there is a sale on something to take advantage of but typically it is not a bargain store by any means.

I didnt go there this time its in Paradise I stop and let the dogs do there thing. That store was closed for a long time due to the fire.l keep going through Paradise and Mahalia on my way to Stirling City I check up on this old lady shes not doing so well. Next time I will take some Pics of the area its hard to understand how many homes just disapeared.

The layout makes it easy to find what Im looking for. Lots of employees who are eager to help. Pricing is ok, considering small town prices. All around good experience.

Thomas Ace Hardware has a wide variety of products. The workers are very knowledgable and will explain things about whatever work your doing around the house. The only down fall is the expensive prices. If you dont mind paying a little more its well worth it.

These Guys Rock! There is always someone ready to help and the materials available. After the Camp Fire They have been our rock and have not taken advantage of being the only supply store within 15 mile by raising their prices, They were my go to before the Fire and Are Again now that were back trying to rebuild!

Its my favorite hardware store !!!! They got Carhartt pants in my size and toys for the dogs and Stihl power tools !!!!!!They are a way better store then the 1 in paradise!!!!! Much better selection and the employees arent rude like in paradise and they close at 8pm not 430 pm !!!!!!!!!!

This is a great store that we have in Paradise. We bought paint and everything we need to paint cabinets. I have confidence in the salesman in the paint department. He steered us in the right directions.

Ace Hardware is and has always been a Godsend to people on The Ridge who need some quick supplies to repair or build something. They even have a side dept with dresses, purses and other pretties for us gals!Since they reopened Paradise after the Camp Fire, theres been a number of times Ive needed something and ACE Hardware didnt disappoint.The staff is quick to help you out. No standing around waiting for help here, they are on it! So very unlike the big chain hardware stores just down the hill.Yay! Keep up the good work Ace.

Wonderful customer service, all the employees were friendly and helpful. Went in to return an item and didnt have my receipt but because I was an Ace rewards card holder they were able to look it up. Helped me find the other items I was looking for and I was in and out of the store in less than 10 minutes. Will shop there again and again.

There is no better stocked hardware store anywhere in Butte county, and the most amazing thing is they reopened their store after the horrifically destructive Camp Fire in Paradise. Its the lifeblood of rebuilding hopes for many here! Thanks to Hap, Mike, Captain Kirk and all the dedicated workers who are helping us all repair or rebuild our shattered homes and businesses! And many of their prices on plumbing and electrical just blow out the big box stores in Chico. Really!

I think it is ridiculous that you guys are closed on Sunday and Monday. You’re missing out on lotta money. Plus that is when everyone is off of work and need to take care of home chores . It is very upsetting when you drive all the way down there and your doors are closed or something that is very important to the customer because let’s face, we don’t have a lot of time just weekends if I were you I would consider opening up doors seven days a week there’s so many people up here that want items that you have specially the family workers and the company that I work for, Your store is really good when it’s open .. people are tired of driving all the way to Chico on a Sunday to pick up something stupid that you have inside your locked doors

The staff at Ace are always helpful. If you cant find it there, they will suggest another place to go or special order it for you. You never wander around looking for something. Someone will always assist you. I love that place. The ace rewards helps as well and their prices are good.

Excellent local community hardware store. Beats driving to Chico to the giant, corporate DIY store at the bottom of the hill. Prices might be a bit higher, but its totally worth it. The employees here are really smart and if they arent, theyll find someone who is. 😃 Definitely recommend supporting local small business and its a great business WORTH supporting.
