Always feel at home when entering the Hootch Hut. One of the first or maybe THE first liquor store to re-open after the Camp-Fire, what makes this place five star is their variety and selection of hard alcohol, beer, malt liquor and wines. And then, add super clean!! Yes super clean! And then!! Always great people behind the counter! Friendly locals always ready to help with directions, suggestions and share laughs at your jokes as well as their own brighten your day humor 😅😂🤣👍

I went to check out the whiskey and was not disappointed! Some fair prices (and some a little high) and a solid selection!

I am sad to say that after 35 years of shopping at Hootch Hut, tonight will be the last time I set foot in there. Hootch Hut Liquor was the first place I went back to after the fire. It was familiar, safe and the place to go that felt like things could someday be normal again. Never have I had a problem with the clerks. Since way back, Hootch Hut was know as the friendliest liquor store around. I have literally droven up from Chico, Oroville and even Grass Valley (after the fire) just to show support with where I shop. Tonight was the 2nd time I have been in there recently where the clerk was cold to me. This is the first negative review I have ever wrote. And more than likely the last. But now a days kindness is a commodity and it is more important than ever to me. As is where I spend my money. I love the two owners, you guys have always been clutch! But now instead of going out of my way to shop at Hootch Hut, I will be going out of my way to shop where the clerks are kind. (And know how to count change back.) My best wishes to Hootch Hut and Thanks for 35 good years....From Jenny, long, long time local.

Always an honest deal. Their prices are competitive to the area. They have the Hootch Tobacco store next door that makes it convenient. The place is well stocked they have always had everything I wanted and needed on the Shelf. Their cashiers are honest to the point that they stopped me before I leave the building to correct a mistake they made in my change. Im sure weve all had that convenience store at one time or another that you had to go back and fight for your correct change not here it was offered graciously.

The staff is friendly and always give excellent suggestions. The selection of beverages is vast and the location is convenient. My only complaint is that they close early, but so does every other business in paradise.
