Although I came out with something more that I wanted I cannot say I was pressured into it. What I could say is these guys will do your best to help you get into what you want to get into or more. They definitely listen and they make you feel like one of their own. Yes there is a car shortage but they can get you in something. To most it will be a scary time to buy a car but they make you feel like its the best time. Thank you to Damien and the whole team at Paramus Hyundai. They came in at the last three seconds and shot the winning basket.

We tried to schedule a maintenance+recall appointment in early September, they only had slots available in the middle of October. Then they cancelled the recall appointment two days from the appointment.When we tried to call them they kept switching from one department to another, and finally said that they dont have the recall appointment in their records.Finally, we brought the car to the dealership and were told that they dont take cars that were bought in a different dealership because of Covid.Could you at least tell us this earlier?I wish, we bought a car from a different brand.

In my opinion prices are outrageous. I was quoted $1,592 for repair. The breakdown of the quote is as follows: $707 for alternator, $245 for battery (which the technician there claimed was “defective” and wouldn’t hold the charge) and $647 for labor ($185 per hour [because as the service representative mentioned they have certified technicians] / roughly 3.5 hours totaling close to $647).Needless to say I took the car elsewhere.1st: I was able to purchase a brand new original Hyundai alternator made by Hyundai manufacturer (see attached images) for $239 as opposed to the $707 quoted by Paramus Hyundai.2nd: My battery was not defective as claimed by the Paramus Hyundai certified technician and after replacing the alternator everything in my car works perfectly (it has been a week since repairs were completed) which proves the battery works properly. Car turns on without fail. Car is seriously like new now.3rd: Paramus Hyundai wanted to charge me for 3.5 hours of labor at $185 per hour for a total of $647 because they have certified technicians at this location. The mechanic I took my car to has 30+ years of experience and replaced the alternator and tested the batteries fixing my car in under 30mins (15mins to take out the alternator and give it to me so I can go buy a brand new Hyundai alternator using the parts# which I purchased for $239 and roughly another 10-15mins to test battery and install the new alternator once I returned). Since labor was completed in roughly 30mins the mechanic charged me $120 total for labor.In the end I saved myself $1,232.00. Instead of paying Paramus Hyundai $1,592 I decided to take my car to another mechanic and paid $360 total for all necessary repairs.

Zero stars for service and I havent even had the appointment Ive been waiting for for two months. They lie and mislead about loaner cars when they really just have none. Also Lorraine who would not provide her name but said she was a manager to intimidate(?) Me into shutting up about loaner. Then she hung up on me while demanding to know if I was keeping appointment tomorrow. Apparently if it wasnt a recall appointment for a faulty engine and I called for regular service I would have to wait 2 months too. Sounds like horrible management if that is the case for all service appointments they obviously cant handle the load of cars they should be. Also, no courtesy shuttle so if you want a ride home, too bad!

Last week I traded in my Jeep Grand Cherokee for the Hyundai Palisade. Not only was I impressed by the car, warranty, and maintenance; I was equally impressed by the service. Eddie Santiago (salesperson) and John Sweeney (general sales manager) were top notch - professional, helpful and fair. Although the service department is very friendly, there’s a huge communication problem between them, sales and the national customer care department. Only had two visits, both have been horrible! My first visit, waited 2 1/2 hours for oil change, only to be told I needed new tires due to a puncture!(cost over $500).I withheld the purchase went to my local service person who took out a small pebble with no tire damage! My second visit after receiving numerous maintenance reminders was finally scheduled after a seven week wait. Arrived for my appointment, only to be told I was not due for service! I contacted the national customer care, who confirmed that my maintenance program is every 3000 miles! I was due for service but was denied! The team seems very nice, but what they promise you when you purchase a car is a far cry from the actual service you receive.Not happy at all

Wish i could give this place a negative star review….I had the worst dealership experience with a salesperson named PAUL PAIK.I understand that there is shortage of vehicles now, and that they don’t have to try so hard to make business, but this man did not bother to show even the minimal level of respect.Every time when I spoke of my preferences, he scoffed at me making taunting comments like I would have to wait 2+years if i wanted to be so “extra” when all that I’ve mentioned was exterior color and leather seats. Even when i asked for specification on the car that they had in inventory, he refused to give me a print out and asked that i take a picture of his tablet and review off of my phone instead. Speechless.Long story short, this man was simply unprofessional and extremely disrespectful. Please do yourself a favor and visit a different Hyundai.

This is the worst dealership ever! I brought my car in for warranty work and they lied and told me it was not covered. They also tried to sell me a wheel alignment which I didn’t need. I had several people check it out and when I was able to get back to my own dealership, they rotated my tires and told me I did not need one! Stay away!!!

Called to get pricing on the new Hyundai Santa Cruz. I asked if there was a markup and the sales girl said there was and she couldn’t discuss it with me. I live an hour away and not driving to this stealership to find out they are marking up the vehicle $5k over sticker. I asked to speak to the manager and she said due to Covid and supply issues they weren’t able to speak on the phone. What a terrible way to conduct business!

I cant buy directly from Hyundai Finance as you dont have license to sell in PA. So Hyundai Finance forced me to go to the dealer. I went to Hyundai Paramus where I got the car to complete transaction. In addition to Hyundai Finance $300 fee, dealer is asking for $250 DMV, $750 Document Fee (which I assume should cover their engagement) but they dont stop there. They want another $1,895 dealer fee. So over $3,000 in fees for car with $10,000 residual value? It is insane that Hyundai allow dealers to treat customers like that. No more Hyundai for me.

I brought my car to an alignment shop the day before I visited this dealorship. Its an alignment shop very well known in the area that only does alignment. Went to this dealorship the next day to have something else taken a look at. The rep there comes back saying every single wheel alignment is severely off and needs to be aligned. This happened twice here so its pretty clear they want to make $ by making customers believe something is wrong with their cars. When I told them my there is nothing wrong with my alignment, they will get super upset and scream SO YOU KNOW MORE ABOUT CARS THAN I DO?!! avoid at all cost, Ive found a couple other hyundai dealorships that are super friendly and honest.

I went to take a closer look at the 2022 Hyundai Tuscan. After walking the parking lot for about 5 minutes I was approached by Michael. He was very informative about Tucson. I ended up leaving with the 2022 Tuscan! I was there for about 3 hours completing all the paperwork and waiting on the bank approval. Overall experience was excellent with Michael (salesman) and Brian (finance manager)!

Transaction went well. Sale was proctored through a broker so when we arrived to sign off on financing and to pick up the car, paperwork was ready. Although there was a discrepancy in the totals, my son was able to guide the finance person to the final numbers which were agreed upon.Car was clean and ready when we got there with the exception of the mats missing which our salesperson promptly retrieved and installed.Professional and efficient transaction.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! Please do not waste your time or money here. They will charge you almost $1,000 just for labor on the most simplest job. They are not completely honest about how much the total cost will be and then trap you with a ridiculously high price that you have no choice but to pay because they will keep your car there. Both receptionist are rude especially the one that sits in the room all day. They lie about what was told to you, replace parts that are not needed to be replaced instead of fixing the problem and you are still stuck with a mortgage bill. I would never go back to this dealer. They do not take responsibility for any wrong doing on their behalf and do not even apologize. They very disorganized and un professional. Instead of them telling you the total price for parts and labor theyll have you walking and back and forth from the front counter to the parts area and figure out the numbers yourself. Ive never been to a dealership where you have to inconvenience yourself in that manner. Everything should be provided for you once you are speaking with a sales rep or shall I say thief. I regret not walking away and going to a regular auto shop. Horrible experience with this staff. Customers please go else where!

This review is based on service department pricing. I am out of state and brought in my car in for a brake job and for the steering column to be tested. I was quoted $2,300 for a brake job, paid $200 for diagnostic fee which is absurd but I was already there. $2,300 is a ridiculous price for a brake job no matter what is being done, that’s basically my mortgage payment. Not to mention the issue with the steering column was never fully addressed, and long behold there was an issue with it. I payed the ridiculous diagnostic fee and towed my car to a reputable mechanic who serviced my cars brakes issues for $400, same work same issues for a fraction of the price. This is why dealerships get such a bad rap for trying to rip clients off with insane pricing to fix a minimal issue. Thankfully I found an honest mechanic and was referred to a better Hyundai dealership to deal with the steering issue.Update***Reached out to service manager, Viviane, but never got a response back. I guess I am not surprised.

PURE GREED!! I understand that currently there is a shortage of vehicles; but to markup a car $10,000 above sticker is a joke!!! Which I only came to find out an hour after being there and finally discussing numbers. The best part is that the prices posted on the website are MSRP, which is what is on their vehicle window stickers but tack on the “Premium Surcharge” after.They are free to charge whatever they would like, just as I was free to walk out laughing!!If this is any indication of how the Sales department works, I would be terrified to deal with their Service department.Buyer beware there are other dealerships out there that do not take advantage of the current inventory shortage.

I must say I had an excellent experience here shopping for a lease. Kevin Carillo was my sales representative and really showed his professionalism. He let me test drive the vehicle, went over numbers lows and highs, and gave me a “no hassle for the customer” mindset. After service upon leaving I immediately noticed a change in the ride. I later discovered the tire pressure was way over the recommended psi. Also after paying for service I went outside to pick up my car. after waiting about 10 minutes went back inside only to find my car still sitting is a service bay. It took another 10 minutes to verify it was my car before it was brought to me. Communication seems to be a problem. :(

The one sale person I would recommend is Rey. He was amazing. I went to another Hyundai dealership the day before in Bloomfield and they completely ignored us, even though we had an appointment. I Applied for the car online ahead of time at the Paramus dealership so we wouldn’t be there all night. During the day Rey called me and said the car was ready and detailed for me, just need to finish up signing things. The experience was quick and easy. I’ve bought cars before and been at the dealership all day. I was there for about 2 hours only. Would totally recommend.

Excellent service. Bought my Sonata in for service. Work could not be completed as the parts needed were not in stock. I asked if I could leave and come back. The next morning I received a call saying the required parts were available and was told to come in anytime before 5. I did that and the work was done quickly. Everyone was so polite and accommodating that it led to an exceptional experience. Once again,, Annie coordinated the work and was always on top of everything needed to get the job done.. Hyundai of Paramus is the only place I would have my car serviced.

Ive been to multiple dealerships and never seen such unprofessional help.I was going to purchase a new car possibly two.I called to set up an appointment to see the cars they supposedly had and when I arrived they only had one car in that model and it was a two thousand price jump from yesterday until today. I brought hyundai paramus my 2014 hyundai santa fe sport in June of 2021 to repair my engine and turbo. It is now October of 2021 and my engine is repaired but the turbo part still hasn’t reached them. Calling weekly, monthly, each time they tell me the delivery date has been extended. After escalating the issue to a claim with hyundai, they told me it would take a week for them to reach out to me after reviewing the situation. After a week, it take me calling them for them to tell me that there’s nothing they can do. I’ve been out of a car for 4 months and feel like i’m stuck.

Terrible experience, the salesmen I had was frustrated I didn’t buy the car he wanted and quickly turned his mood when speaking to me. The finance manager had us wait 4 hours to speak him with only to rush us into signatures and out the door. Quick to dismiss any questions/concerns we had about the deal we were about to get it and ultimately screwed us over in payments for years to come. I’ve been to other Hyundai dealers and would never recommend this place to anyone.. save yourself the trouble, shop elsewhere.

After having terrible experiences at multiple car dealerships, I was going to give up getting a car to replace the one I had. However, after coming to Paramus Hyundai, I was able to get a 2018 Honda Elantra Value Edition at an affordable price.Upon entering the establishment, I was kindly greeted by the lady at the front desk and was directed to a clean waiting area. I was then promptly greeted by salesperson Michael G. who sold me the car I have now.Michael was not only polite, but also transparent and listened to my concerns when it came down to finding a car best suited for me. I knew exactly what I was paying for which is very important to me! I was not rushed nor was I talked down to, which are two things I commonly experienced at other dealerships. Michael went ABOVE AND BEYOND and I cannot stress enough how amazing of a salesperson he is! Don’t take your car here for servicing! They ripped me off by charging me $198.00 dollars just to tell me I needed a new set of tires which they then had the gall to try and get me to pay an additional $600 dollars for! Tires that I didn’t even need because according to a good friend of mine who works at Mavis tires, my tires were still in good shape! They are wolves in sheep’s clothing. If you want to get robbed this is the place for you....

Review is about the service. Called and fixed appointment about a week in advance. Discussed in detail about the issues. Then again confirmed the day before the appointment and discussed the issues again. Then when I took in my car, the lady manager informed me that they didnt have the person for the specific job and the person who answered the call both the times was the receptionist whatever that means. Waste of time and fuel. They could have just informed over the phone. No hard feelings... may be they are not doing very well.

Ok let’s see where do I start. I went into Paramus to purchase a vehicle they were very nice at first. The salesperson I had wasnice however the true colors come out after. My mirror was cracked supposedly they order a new one three months ago having heard anything. I called several times still no response. This is the worst dealership I ever went to. I sold Hyundai for many years if I treated my customers like that I wouldn’t made a living. I bought a certified vehicle and went I went to get an oil change I had to replace wipers and filters they were black. I could go on but I won’t. Do not buy a car over there.

I came in as a customer asking them to look at my car because something didn’t feel right and I was going to drive 4+ hours to move. They took in my car—which is still under warranty— and said everything was fine. After driving the long trip I find out that my car did have some issues and was leaking fluids. I highly doubt anyone inspected my car as asked and I won’t be coming back to this dealership for service in the future. I’m now trying to deal with fixing my car in the middle of moving to a new state and a new job.

I set up an appointment with them 3 weeks in advance for a service repair, once I was there they told me I had to pay $60 just to have someone have a look at my car and it’s not including doing any repairs at all for me. I mean what was the point setting up an appointment 3 weeks in advance just to meet a car service employee to tell me what the problem is and not fix it. I suggest if you need repairs go to a local tires or car servicing facility. I only had to pay $40 for any car service problems and it even included ACTUALLY FIXING THE CAR! HYUNDAI Paramus, an absolute waste of your time.

Ridiculously over priced compared to competition. Attempting to sell new vehicles well over a thousand over MSRP due to limited stock when other dealerships are still selling below MSRP. Sales person sounded like they couldnt be bothered working with pricing. Pricing different than what is advertised online.

I buy a lot of cars, and generally loath the experience, but these guys were pretty good, very helpful staff, very interested in getting me out of there as quickly as possible, which I like. Gave me a really great price with very little haggle, pretty decent in the service department too. My sales person Iggi was a little full of himself, but it was more comical than annoying.I will definitely buy more cars from! Thanks Iggi!

I had another brands lease vehicle that was running out of miles. I had worked with my son to lease a Hyundai a few months ago. I liked how Paramus Hyundai worked out his situation, so I asked our salesman, Stephen if there were any used Hyundais. I was thinking of buying an older car to bridge the gap to the end of the lease I had.Steve suggested that I consider leasing an Ioniq then and there. A new Jersey State clean air rebate brought the reference price down by something like $5000.I had had a Hyundai years ago and I like the way it held the road. The Ioniq does that and more. It is much more driver friendly than other cars Ive driven. The controls and its Android Screen are simpler to manage --- theres even a button for the radio so the driver doesnt have to look around the screen for that while driving.Some it is simple. Manual rather than electric seats.On balance I am more satisfied with the Ioniq than I have been with car since I cant remember when.

If there was ever a greedy example of price gouging, my experience at Paramus Hyundai today was it. I went to look ( I would have bought) at the new Santa Cruz. Yes an exciting new vehicle for sure with the MSRP being higher than was expected but somewhat understandable. Made an appointment, arrived on time, saw the vehicle for the first time and liked what I saw. The salesman (nice young guy) asked me to take it for a ride and than of course I first showed a concern about the price. Here it comes, he said there is a $10.000 market adjustment price. This $10.000 that someone will pay is going to make or break this dealership? I hardly think so, than why charge it? In my opinion, they are destroying there reputation to take advantage of the working class customers who buy Hyundai vehicles. It’s pure greed and an embarrassment to substantially overcharge to this level.To the management of Paramus Hyundai, not customer friendly.

Damian was responsive to requests/questions at the outset.Everything was smooth until it came time to close the deal.I’m glad I did my research. I was a little put off when I noticed an $1800 prep fee for a new quality 2019 Veloster. I was given an explanation of part being a CPO fee, which we both knew was nonsense.I had to negotiate through a manager to get it down to $400.This shouldn’t happen at a reputable authorized new car dealer. Left a bad taste in my mouth.The finance manager moved waaay too fast, and gave contradictory and shady information about the interest rate, originally quoting a rate that was a full 2 points higher than what I qualified for.He basically ended up leveraging a service plan to bring the interest rate to where it should have originally been, given my solid credit rating.By this point I was tired of having to negotiate new surprises, and accepted the plan. Not the end of the world since I knew I would need additional coverage at some point. I would rather it have been on my own terms though, not as part of a negotiation.On top of that, I was never given anything in writing that documented what the plan covers.When calling the dealership to request this, I had to leave messages which were never returned, or got the finance phone mail box that was always full.On a positive note, you do have a rising super nova at your dealership though, who understands and practices customer service.I can’t say enough good things about Grace in internet sales. She not only went the extra mile to arrange delivery of my plates around my chaotic schedule, but stepped up to get me the copy of the service agreement that none of the other people I spoke to were either willing or able to do.Maybe you already recognize her value, but if not, it would be in your interest to keep her happy. People with this skill are in short supply these days.Every retailer needs a front line representative like her.She’s the first person I encountered and the last that I dealt with, and, no exaggeration, added one or possibly two stars to this review.

Nick R was excellent. I took a vacation day bc your phone message stated that they welcome walk-ins. I got there and was told that wasn’t correct and no longer can accommodate walk ins. Nick understood my frustration and immediately scheduled me an appointment for later that week. It was a warranty job and he went above and beyond to make sure the warranty covered all the cost. He also suggested other recommendations that should be looked at. Which I will schedule in August at the Paramus service center. If I could give Nick 10 stars I would!!

I was helped by Paul Paik. He was very straight forward which I like. He showed me a few different vehicles and gave a lot of detail about each one. There was a hiccup with the finance side of things but that was not their fault, they actually helped with that. I ended up with a 2022 Santa Fe, I felt I paid a little more than MSRP, but with COVID and the shortage cars/chips its understandable and expected. Overall had a great experience and was even gifted a bottle of wine.
