My experience here at this Amazon store has been exceptional. The layout of the store is esthetically pleasing. It is clean and there are masks as well as hand sanitizer offered at the entrance in adherence with Covid precautions. The representatives are attentive and friendly. When I came to return an item, the attendant facilitated this process quickly and seamlessly. I appreciated their patience and understanding. The store is basically the online website in an actual in person storefront. It has all the items I could have ever wanted to purchase and more.

An amazing book stop at the perfect location of the garden state mall. Great display of books age wise. The store is divided in sections left for adults and right for the kids.Your prime membership can help you save money on every purchase.

They mostly sell books but they also offer a few other popular Amazon items like their Echos and tablets too. I believe they also will take your Amazon returns here as well. The staff is very friendly and they’re eager to help. If you are a Amazon member, you can pay for your purchase with your payments on file. They also started offer payment with palm, but you need to register you handprint to do that which is a kitty too creepy for me.

Solid Portuguese restaurant in the iron bound section of Newark. Nice atmosphere with reasonable prices. We were a party of 6 and everyone seemed satisfied. Not exceptional but good value.

The staff is always friendly and helpful, my 3 year old loves their childrens book section, and we always walk out with a new book. With so few bookstores anymore its great for children to get excited about bringing books home.

Meh. Its as if Amazon bought Sharper Image or Brooks Brothers but with more books.

Nice addition to the mall. A little different than other book stores in that the books are displayed full cover with a short synopsis under each. Its a nicer, more interesting, less congested, and informative presentation. Price scanners are all over the place. Theres a section displaying the Fire TV, tablets, Echo and other electronics. Available but low key staff.

Very well stocked. My kids enjoy the selection of books they have at the store. And there is always somebody to give a hand when we cannot reach top shelf. Polite and helpful staff.

Cool physical extension of the Amazon shopping experience with a varied but moderate selection.Scaling this up to warehouse sized stores would be amazing, like walking are the Amazon website. Maybe some day...

Wonderful place to get books and everything!It is actually great to be able to touch, look and feel book before buying it.Also the way you pay is very easy one if you are prime member and have application on smartphone: after items are checked out just go to the app menu and get everything paid just in the app without have card or cash involved, amazing.

Do you want amazon customer reviews for everything? Do you want staff to be very clear while not exactly saying it that their job depends on you giving them a good rating? Amazon!

Its very cool to see many amazon products that I dont own in use with other amazon smart devices at once. There are prime discounts on a lot of the items in the store. I didnt purchase anything today, but that would be helpful to utilize for when I am looking to purchase something the store has.The store has a lot of books divided by category and is very easy to find what you are looking for.The employees were very friendly and helpful which I appreciate alot in a store.

Easy to navigate, small enough where you can find all you need and its nostalgic the way Amazon recreates the original enterprise that made them popular....selling books. Youre able to pay with your Amazon app on your phone if you have a prime account pluse you have the chance to try Audible for 30 days among other promotions. Definitely a place Id visit again. I am an Amazon Prime Member. On Saturday, April 10 I bought some items from the store. We at the register I tell the guy I am an Amazon member. He said there is a glitch on the system its not letting me put members. Today, EVERYONE is prime and gets a discount. I was confused and it seems strange but I was ok. What a liar, next day when I check my receipt. I was charged the full boat. NO DISCOUNTS at all. I was so upset. You dont lie to customers. This was my first time at this mall and this store. I’ve been debating a kindle for a while now. Went in on prime day and was greeted and helped by the store manager, Rhashid (not sure I got the name right). He was absolutely outstanding. I always look for those great customer service experiences because they’re few and far between now. He not only explained all of the differences between the models but he helped me set up and navigate the device. We had great conversation and I left the store happy as a clam. I’m beyond happy with my kindle purchase and am so excited for my next purchase at this store!! Thank you Rhashid. You are fantastic.

Love the large amount of book selections they have

Amazon put Borders bookstore out of business. They have almost done the same thing to Barnes and Noble. They have put thousands of small independent bookstores out of busines . So I dont think I anybody should be supporting amazon for anything. Not to mention the tens of thousands of chain stores and independent stores put out of business by Amazon. Shop someplace else while there are still actual stores. Half of Gardenstate plaza is empty largely because of amazon. Wake up and stop supporting amazon. Drive to Riverside mall and go to Barnes and Noble if you want to buy a book. And they have a much bigger selection everything you buy at amazon simply consolidates more wealth into the hands of one man-Jeff Bezos the expense of small and medium size stores who are rapidly going out of business

Comfortable store

The place is pretty small so dont expect to find a lot of books there. They do seem stock the major classics and the latest releases and best sellers so youve got that. What you will have is instant access to almost all of the Amazon hardware at Amazon Prime prices. They staff is very friendly and helpful too.

Great place to get books! Its not very big but is handicap accessible. Also, if youre a Prime member you get prime pricing on all prime eligible products there, and you get to skip the shipping! The only downfall is again its size. They do have a good variety of items though, and they will look up stuff to see if they have it in the store.

I picked 4 Hallmark Gift bags off a rack marked $4.49. Scanned at the register they were $4.99.I mentioned to the cashier what they were marked and she corrected the charge.How many shoppers are not alert to this illegal overcharging?BUYER BEWARE!

If you like Amazon books and a gadgets this is the place to go

Im thinking the idea here is to replicate the experience of browsing on Amazon- each book has a review posted and shows the total number of reviews and star rating. Thats fine for what it is, but its not a true bookstore experience however - much smaller number of books, and only a few from each category (they have a lot of cooking ones however), and nowhere to sit and browse through a few books at a time. Maybe Im just too old fashioned, but if I wanted to browse through Amazon, I probably wouldnt go to a store to do so when j could just use my phone. You can get books here (and some tech stuff), but I wouldnt call it a bookstore.

As others have mentioned its smaller than Barnes and Noble but there is an interesting selection of books with their respective reviews from Amazon available next to each one! Its like shopping on their website but in person!

Great service but they over due it with the social distancing. I had to nearly yell just to ask a question to an employee for help.

Im only writing about the return experience. I bought something online on Amazon but didnt for, so I had to return it at a Amazon bookstore it Kolhs. So I went to the GSP mall, Stood in line, pulled up my return scan code in my phone. Person scanned the coffee and the barcode on my return item. Finished. Really quick, no questions asked. Love it. Quick in and out.

It’s a nice book store with relavent books to read. They also do a really cool thing where if you have read a book you can see which ones other readers liked after. Also other item are sold like all of Amazon’s electronic products such as echo and echo show and other popular things from amazon. Overall a great small bookstore.

Very interesting store. Everything was laid out in a very organized and open setting. There are plenty of things to buy there, not only books. They also showcase their Amazon products like the Amazon Echo and kindles. The staff there was very kind and helpful. Checkout was seamless. All I had to do was scan a QR code, and everything was charged to my Amazon account. This is definitely one of those stores you can go to to kill time at the mall.

Poor excuse for a bookstore

I remember when this space was a Warner Brothers store. Good times. Anyways, this store is fine if a little crammed. Theyre selection is essentially a best of of each type of genre. They have a Kindle display and they also sell random junk. You will receive Prime discounts if you have a Prime account; if you dont, just head to the Barnes and Noble on your 17 in Paramus.

The evolution of the old fashioned bookstore! The displays are very well done, and instead of packing shelves full of random books, they have chosen specific books that are popular and interesting. It is small, but laid out well. It is not Borders or Barnes and Noble, so there are no spaces to just sit on the floor and read like the olden days.

Cute little store. A smaller selection than b&n which I find perfect for my 5th grader. Shes not overwhelmed by choices, but can find her favs and others that are new to her. Plus she can use the Amazon gift cards she received.Only thing I wish, is that theyd process your Amazon order for any book they dont have in stock. Not that its hard to do it myself, it would just be one less thing to remember.

My first time in an Amazon brick and mortar store. Great experience, great prices for the kids books also a good selection of Amazon products and complimentary products from other companies. The store has a cool system for pricing and check out.

This is the first time coming to an Amazon books location. I liked it and the fact that prime members get a discount is a nice feature. Not enough seating but I guess they want you to buy the books and not sit around reading without buying.

Coolest store, they are modifying it. With they didnt push their products as much and had more variety, but they are probably not able to use local feedback. Its nice to use my Amazon Prime discount in a store. Very engaged staff, almost as much as Trader Joes, but its a different KoolAid here. Staff is selected on being highly educated it seems as well. Everyone was conversational - even readers of the books I wanted to talk about. Really cool experience!!!

Its got plenty of variety, and of course since its Amazon, you can buy everything under the sun that has their seal on it. If youre an amazon fan and Prime member, this is your mecca.

For me, half of the bookstore experience is just that – the experience, and this Amazon bookstore was far too clean, drab, and streamlined to be even somewhat interesting. The store was set up to encourage customers to ask an Alexa a question before going to a store associate, which felt far too impersonal and not caring enough. Then, none of the books were priced – you had to go to a price checker or an Alexa to find out how much they cost, and if you dont have Prime, they charge you the MSRP. On top of that, almost all the books were the best-sellers on Amazon at the time, so there were few classic books or niche interests, which is the other half of a bookstores purpose for me. With the store arranged in a sterile design and identical bookshelves all around, I would encourage you to embrace a local bookstore with sellers who care about readers before entering an Amazon bookstore where the adverse is true.

Amazon bookstore at the garden state plaza is is a really cool little store. Its got tons of books and even gift ideas and one of the really great parts about that store is when you buy something from Amazon that has returns you can return it to the store which makes it a little more convenient.

Selection is limited but totally optimized to give you the best highest rated on market. Not a bad stop in to see whats being read by those who love books. Its basically the Best Seller shop. But you wont find many classics or those wonderful hidden treasures.

Amazon is known for mostly online stuffs, so the book store isnt that loaded with an impressive array of books. Feels like one of them Airport book/magazine stores with the most recent/popular/interesting reads. Have a childrens section which a lot of people were at, Kindle electronics, and nick-nack/ toys. Should/could/betterto- go online rather than make the drive to the store. Im here during the holiday rush so there are more people and slower lines. The check out process is a bit different if u are a prime member and for a faster check out process, theyd like your Prime acct ready in your phone with the QR code ready for scan.

Went in to buy some books for my children for the holiday. I wasnt sure Ill get it. To my surprise, they even had the latest edition of the books. The staffs were nice friendly and ready to help. And the children section was beautiful to behold.

You can find a lot of choices at this location, not as many as Barnes & Noble but it is a good thing to have other options. I like the store very clear and well organized, very easy to navigate the store. As a prime member you get discount when paying using the Amazon app. Friendly staff, they dont look like the old schools librarians ladies..

Convenient

Every bookshelf was full misandry.... I dont think everybody would be so understanding of this if there were books entitled we dont need black people anymore because this type of prejudice is clearly understood. But quite literally every shelf was communicating the toxic masculinity narrative.... I support real gender equality and racial equality I dont have to go out and demonize the others like these companies are doing today.

Register employee kept skipping a customer in line not listening to the issue they had being unable to pull up a bar code only to tell them after she had taken the full line behind them to dial customer service. Customer service was even worst that day. At the end the employee at the store mocked the call center I said what about you skipping a customer turn not even listening, she answers there was a line I had to take. As if this customer is not a customer in line or as if they had been holding the line when she barley took seconds before shouting over their shoulder next. She could have easily given the number or at least asked of them to wait. If your sent to return an item at the store take a screenshot of the code and make sure they sent you the right code. Didnt expect this level of customer service from Amazon. When I looked up online how to make a complain to terminate a prime membership there is an overwhelming number of complains pilling up. Amazon didnt even care to even take responsibility of the lousy service nor in store nor their call center or even act that they would try to avoid it in the future. This person who was skipped had a condition where its painful as it is to stand for long periods of time and this could have been easily avoided. Continue not to care and see if anyone would care of the convince or prime benefits of a lousy service.

So great! Wide selection of products, Amazon Basic products in the store, easy place to return Amazon packages and many books of a variety of genres! The layout is great and I sometimes just go in order to use the WiFi and hang. Very nice ambiance. Amazon often times gets it right on the nose, and this is no exception.

Was surprisingly nice. Stopped by today (October 5th) at about 3:30pm. Not only was the selection unique and more politically diverse than most bookstores... but the greeter at the front of the store (yellow shirt) was super friendly and made several book recommendations but in a HILARIOUS way. Made us all laugh. Wish I got his name. Id come back again just for the friendly staff.

Its always better to be able to look at books in stores. I liked the way the store tries to emulate the online experience but having the if you liked this book you may like these book.It was nice to see some of the more popular gifts that people buy on Amazon. Its also good to see some self published books amongst the offerings.It nice to see so many people enjoying the store. Also, you can get a 30% discount if you have Amazon prime.

Despite myself, I loved the experience here. Its so seamless, and as a prime member, I get the Amazon price on the books but still get to take it home immediately. The big downside is the selection; if you want a specific book, this might not serve that purpose well. If youre coming to browse, they have very helpful suggestions based on popular books you might have read.
