I bought 105 of 1/2 black iron pipe made in India for air supply in my shop. I was told it was good to use in a straight line but not recommended for cutting and threading because it was of low quality and the threads would clasp or strip on the pipe. After installing it in my shop ceiling (12) I charged the pipe and the seams in the pipe were separated and would not hold 5 lbs of pressure. They should not even sell this pipe. Now I have to remove the pipe and try to return it, buy American made pipe and reinstall. They told me about the threads but Did Not tell me the seams were separated on some of the joints of pipe. I would not have bought this pipe if they would have been honest about the product.
