Rented the range for my sons birthday party. It was an awesome and cost effective celebration. A memory well never forget! The staff was amazing and made us feel right at home! She event let me shoot her private AR-15! She switched nights for the party at the last minute to accommodate my sons birthday wishes. Very family oriented, clean and friendly. When I was 13 my uncle Richard brought me here. We rented a 22 pump and I shot couple boxes of there ammo. It was my birthday and I was pumped. Then we rented a uzi with a wooden stock. It was fun. He went to his car and got his 44 and we fired a box off. It was the loudest. I fired a shot and the recoil wasnt too bad. Very friendly staff. Lanes clean. Yeah I remember the smoke but that was the best part. Thanks guys glad your still doing good. Gave me great memorys.

The staff I dealt with were very friendly and helpful. Lee was very prompt to answer any questions I had via email or phone. (I was making my purchases in-state from over 500 miles away, trying to coordinate things to coincide with a trip I was making to Houston.)When I picked up my handgun, they allowed me range time to try it out since I purchased it through them. I had my own ammo, but they had some available to purchase.I also attended their Texas License to Carry class which was very informative and affordable ($50).Ive seen some reviews that ding their indoor range. To that, I say - its an indoor gun range and they charge only $10 per person, no time limit. I found everything to be in working order and safe. They provide a target, and hearing/eye protection.I will definitely visit them again when I am in the Houston area.

Great staff and a very good gunsmith. Needs a better selection of guns to buy and will be an easy 4 star once the range is back up.

Great place to shoot. Prices are excellent. The gunsmithing is second to none and very reasonable. I have had several custom projects done by Brad and they came out way above my expectations. The shop also has a decent suppressor line as well. The range could use a little dressing up but its a gun range not a uppity salon.The staff is knowledgeable and very friendly. They all know there firearms and products very well. It is a family ran establishment and very women friendly. The manager( or maybe owner or owners wife?) is a women and super nice, Ladies go see her, she will treat you right.

Great place, conveniently located and they have full auto weapons you can rent. For those complaining about the ventilation, its an indoor range, when there are a lot of people shooting, it can be an issue, but they are working on it. For a local indoor range, if youre looking for frills and an attendant to clean up after you, this is not the place for you. For shooters that want a safe place to go with knowledgeable staff and a safe environment to shoot in; this place is awesome!

It was alright but the range needs better lighting and ventilation i came out after an hour of shooting coughing hard because it was so dusty and smokey. people are nice and its easy to just get in and start shooting.if i was to suggest anything to them it would just be better lighting and better ventilation.

This place is GREAT!!!I have been going here off and on for years. I had family come from California and they wanted to shoot guns. No one in the party has ever shot before, Pasadena Gun Center literally took the time to teach all each of them how to properly handle, grip, sight, trigger pull and general gun safety. The employees here were so kind and friendly. They also let my cousin pose with a very large machine gun. :)We had so much fun here that this visit alone made their Christmas vacation awesome!!Thanks Pasadena Gun Center!!!

As a Firearms Instructor I value the service provided by Gun Ranges and particular whether or not they areuser friendly. This location provided my group with an exceptionally warm welcome and service. Why not a 5? Only because it is not located in my backyard...

I went with my cousin a while back and it was an amazing experience.They had a variety of firearms to choose from and the pricing was reasonable. I will definitely try to come back sometime next week, the place is just that good that I want to go every single day. I would highly recommend this place.

If you need someone to brown nose you while you talk about guns, no, this is not the gun range for you. The guys there know their stuff, and answer your questions. The place is not pretty, but why does it need to be? And the ventilation isnt great, but I have only passed out once so it cant be that bad. Ive been going here since I was a little me, great place.

I love this gun shop, even with its range being down it has the most knowledgeable and friendly staff Ive encountered. reasonable transfer fees, skilled and fair priced smithing, and good rare finds on their internet deals. Although it doesnt have the glitz and glamor of a lot other indoor ranges in Houston, I can definitely appreciate the service, deals, and overall atmosphere this place brings to the culture.

Awesome!! First time trying this place since my husband just bought a AR 15 good prices and on Saturdays you get to shoot any of their rental guns for free! We had a few questions about our rifle and they answered each one, we left out of there with more knowledge! Will definitely return && recommend to everyone!

Had a rifle sent here a while back when I was still active duty during recruiting duty so I lived local. Since I was a local and I had orders proving it you can buy firearms. They wouldn’t sell me my rifle I had sent to them cause my out of my out of state license. So I had to get mailed to a gun shop in Deer Park where they took care of me. I will never conduct business here again

I have to say this is one of the better ranges Ive been to, sort of a hole in the wall but who is worried about a fancy interior? The staff are never really down your back a lot witch I really appreciate unless of course youve never shot a gun.They dont require you to always carry your rifle in a bag just make sure its not loaded! Lanes are only 10$ an hour. Full auto rent is only 20$ & you must purchase their ammo of course. Just an all around great range. I will be a customer here for a while.

The range is bare basics and does need an upgrade, but you can shoot and have a good time without the restrictions that a lot of other ranges place on customers. Employees have always been friendly and transfers are well priced with a discount if you have your LTC

Ive been there a few times over the years. I took my concealed hand gun class there as well. Professional people, good instructors. Didnt see any gang members or anything close. Would highly recommend it to anyone that live on east side of Houston.

This is a good, small range. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They are our go-to FFL when buying out of state guns. If youre looking for a pretty gun range, this isnt for you. Its a bit dirty and dusty and the ventilation is not great. Bathroom is kind of gross too. If youre looking for a good, small, friendly, well-priced place to have some fun, this place is great.

Something seriously needs to be done about the ventilation, it is absolutely horrible. You cant even see your target down range. I get that its an old building and prices are low but its unacceptable.Other then that, the staff was very friendly with helping me on how to use an AK47 I rented from them.The AK was full auto BTW...AWESOME!!!!

Tried out different ranges and this was the first in the area I tried. I was not all impressed the first time I went but after visiting two other ranges went back this past weekend and have to say the atmosphere here and set up, well for me, you just cant beat it. This is my top pick.

Great place to shoot at a great price. Only downfall is no real ventilation if the place is busy. Gets smoky quick.

Spoke to someone over the phone and was assured they had a Taurus millennium for rental. Drove 20 miles to find out they dont. Dont trust the employees to know their equipment.

I have been here twice and my experience has been great! The staff has always been friendly and helpful. Gun range price is 10 bucks and transfers for CHL holders is only 15 bucks! Best price in town! 15 min drive from downtown. Its my goto indoor range. People complain about the walls but i have no problem with it. It makes it more private.

Since you do have a lot of other high rating, apologized and seemed relatively nice in response to other reviews I will remove my 1 star. Maybe it was a mistake but an older man probably in his 70s went around my business complex insulting anyone that didnt buy his membership for Pasadena Gun Center. Not sure if you can remove reviews but Ill leave it at a 4 star.

We didnt read any reviews before arriving; this is an honest review of our thoughts... There was plenty of parking around the building, even at 3:45pm on a Saturday (July 2nd). We were greeted by friendly faces who showed us the basics of each firearm we asked about. They gave us 4 targets per lane, plenty of ear and eye protection, gun rentals, and nice ammo.The range was almost full, but didnt feel terribly crowded. The pulley systems and lighting worked fine, but the ventilation and air filtration seemed a bit inadequate for the amount of people on the range. It was pretty stuffy and heavy with lead/smoke in the air, but that is nothing new for indoor ranges. We didnt let that stop us from shooting for an hour straight (if youve never shot an Uzi, you need to!!!). Although the staff did come in to check on everyone once or twice, there were some really reckless people in the lane next to us who had clearly never handled or shot a firearm (safely) before...Not the shops fault, I know, just stating from a safety/security perspective.When we walked outside into the fresh air, it became clear that we had been breathing in a ton of vapors (our nostrils were black and we had a cough for the rest of the night). Regardless, we had so much fun that we went back yesterday (July 5th) and the ventilation seemed to be working better, possibly because there were fewer people. It may look ridiculous but next time we go during the rush hour we are going to wear N95 respirators.PROS: parking, customer service, lighting, handgun selection, automatic rifle selection, ammo quality, ear/eye protectionCONS: ventilation/filtration

This is a true and non bias review of the Pasadena gun range. The ventilation system is horrible to say the least. Ive been to lots of indoor shooting ranges and have never experienced carbon smoke to the point of coughing. I had to cut my time very short for fear of health from the smoke in the air. Also I would suggest taking enough ammo to this range as Thier ammo selection is very limited to cheap non reliable stuff. Walking between Lanes is difficult when all lane are filled because of the narrow path between the rear wall and dividers walls. Lighting is also an issue at this facility. Theres no one to periodically clean spent Shells off the floor or at least a broom for customers to use. In short. If you dont care about inhaling toxic carbon fumes, bad lighting, or limited space. This is your spot. I would suggest somewhere that actually cares about it patrons. Sorry. But its just the honest truth.

Been coming here for years and I really enjoy the experience. The concrete walls between lanes add as a safety feature, the staff is very friendly and quick to assist with questions or comments.

Never leave reviews but after seeing a few of the negatives ones here let me clarify,1.It is a GUN RANGE not a spa2.concrete keeps you safe and somewhat helps you know what to expect noise wise if you have to use your gun to defend yourself indoors that goes the same with the smoke3.they are alot cheaper and nicer then other local ranges both indoor and outdoor4. All in all this place is one of the better no frills strait up kinda ranges left some prefer it just the way it is5. Staff here is VERY knowledgeable unlike some who want to sell you something i.e being super pushy guys here are not

The staff was friendly and the entry fee is rather reasonable. If you buy ammo here it is marked up about $5 more than a box at Academy. The building could use some TLC. The restroom is unisex and after looking inside I decided to hold it instead. In the range, the walkway to the lanes is very narrow (2 average sized people could not walk side by side). Its also very dark and tightly packed, which I could deal with but the limited air circulation was stifling. On the plus side they do allow rapid fire. Ive posted pics and Ive seen others already posted that should provide anyone an idea of the environment.

My third shooting range. Not bad. But there was only two shooters so ventilation wasnt a big issue. Lightning was ok. I will go back.

I have been shooting at PGC for years, many years. Ive bought things, Ive had internet orders sent so they can do my FFL transfer but recently they have done some gunsmith work for me. they did a muzzle brake recently on a .308 to save my shoulder with two surgeries and did a fantastic job. This latest job was fitting a new butt plate on an old Winchester. They knocked it out of the park on this one! Great job yall! Thanks!

Been coming here for years, Best place around to shoot and have fun. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Knowledgeable and honest about guns, and if they didnt know, they told you instead of lying. Come here often and never had a bad experience. People complaining about it being dark, dirty and unsafe obviously are about show and not function. Been to other shooting ranges, but nothing compares to here.Will keep on coming back as long as they are open.

Compared to their competition, this place is an absolute nightmare. The prices are expensive and the place has an absolutely harsh environment. I felt extremely uneasy going into a gun range where everything was concrete. I felt like I couldnt breath. I recommend other gunranges. At other gun ranges It felt like a good time. At this gun range it felt stressful and almost made me hate guns. I understand that gun ranges arent meant to be rainbows and sunshine, but I wish it was a place I could feel easy to go to.

THE UGLIEST RANGE IN TOWN, SERIOUSLY.I tried practically all ranges in Houston area, I can tell.It is an unsafe (at night) and abandoned downtown Pasadena area. Old crappy building. Old smelly storefront. Beaten up doors. Finally, old dirty lanes with cinder-blocked walls full of holes. The backstop is just a sand-filled wall.Overall feeling is unsafe, dirty and claustrophobic. Yack!On the good side, they charge only $9 per hour, as oppose to ridiculous $15 at American Shooting Center, etc.

Its a small indoor gun range in the heart of old historic Pasadena. If you need your firearm repaired or want a new one then this is the place to go to.

Friendly staff and a good place to go practice.This is an amendment to my first review. It does not warrant a one star or two left by others negating the main purpose to visit a gun range.1. You are there to practice.2. The corridor to get to your lane is narrow but it does not deserve a deduction of a star because it does not impede you to get to your lane. You walk to get there and back out, you might do it again to get some targets/ammo but you are not there for fashion week walk. People that are practicing dont even notice that you walked by.3. Concrete walls are actually a plus. I would rather have a concrete wall of safety than a felt/carpeted wall. If an accidental discharge does happen Im betting you would choose a concrete wall rather than a nice looking sheetrock wall to get behind.

Shot a Glock 26 9mm being my first time i had a great experience, will be heading back and practice some before i purchase one myself

I wanted to add my appreciation of this establishment. I had them do a nipple replacement on an 1852 Navy Colt. Their Gunsmith do great work. They were happy to inspect an old Norinco SKS I wanted to fire, to ensure it was safe to use. I have had nothing but good experiences in here. Yes the ventilation is poor, but I they dont overcharge you for the experience. I have not had the chance to be back in several months, but this is my go to shop when I want to go shoot.

Very nice people and helpful to. I just placed a down payment for a glock. Im most definitely going back again.Update (as of 7-16-2016). I called to notify them that my 60 days (for layaway) will be up soon and the nice lady there said its ok. I went in the next day and paid the rest of the money for my G30 and did the background check took two days because Im not from the U.S. They called me within two days to let me know I can pick it up. Very nice people and great service.For anyone to talk bad about this place is lying. The gentleman there even gave me a history lesson on the place. He said was previously a movie theater and Ben Hur was the last one he saw prior to its new makeover. Again....very nice people and with great service. I HIGHLY recommend this place.

This is a very affordable indoor gun range and staff its friendly and helpful.

My only complaint about the shooting range is that its closed on Sundays and Mondays. But other than that this place is awesome.

Lots of gang members shoot there. Always see their tattoos on neck and such. Houstones, I -45s, Texas Cyndicate, Texas Mafia, ect.Seen it myself. Walked out10/12/17-From what I understand they have been through two new owners. I havent been there, but from what I understand their customer service and whatnot has improved. If so, very glad to hear it.
