Fantastic lumber and hardware store, definitely replacing Lowes and Home Depot for me. Im building a Murphy bed kit and they not only have have the lumber and every tool needed, theyre cutting all the wood to the given specifications! (Labor is much cheaper than materials too). Very clean and organized well, staff is friendly and more than helpful!

Always great! Once you get familiar with how things work its amazing. I love pulling into the bay to pick up my lumber. The system feels very old school and traditional and you are really getting your moneys worth and a unique experience at the same time. It sounds strange to have a unique experience at a lumber yard, but thats really part of going to Ganahl.. its very cool.

Our forklift operator today was great, lots of patience when we had to go thru an entire shelf of 4x8x14 to find gems for a demanding client. He went as far as to offer us bottled water. Afterwards he shared his appreciation for us stacking the lumber back on the shelf. Thank you Ganahl!

I called before I visited the store. Although they didnt have in stock of what I need. But I found that its staffs are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I may consider shopping there for my hardware need more often than to HD.

A wonderful selection. Lots of building supplies if all kinds. Unlike Home Depot it is easy to find an employee who can answer questions and give guidance when considering a project.

This place is incredible. I was building a deck at my house and I cant tell you how knowledgeable and helpful the staff was (Shane in particular). He knew the materials really well and helped me find the right product. They came in at nearly the same price as, Home Depot...but I didnt have to deal with Home Depot which made it so worth it. The delivery was nearly flawless. A couple boards were damaged in transit, however they replaced the boards with new ones as soon as I let them know. I have used Ganahl both professionally in prop and set building, and personally when working on my house. I cant recommend them enough, they carry quality products, have a knowledgeable staff and competitive prices.

Absolutely beat home depot, for sure and others store whos trying to have everything for you and do a good on projects has almost all the materials take a little longer on time to leave store but is worth the waiting you dont have to go to store to another store looking for whatever you need thanks for the good customer service you guys have 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

This place is the best. They have a great tool/hardware section, though it is a little on the expensive side.The lumber yard is amazing... They have any building materials you could need, as well as a nice hardwood selection, including some really nice hardwood plywood. Im a relative novice to woodworking, so I have lots of questions, and the lumber yard staff here are super approachable and helpful. They seem happy to answer all my stupid questions.

This place is very well stocked. whatever your building needs, they pretty much have it. The will-call department is great! Tony and everyone in there is very helpful and friendly! However... The actual employees in the store... Not so much. Theyre not really rude, theyre just not helpful at all. But overall a good builders supply.

I called ahead of time to ask for a specific brand of 3/8 decking plugs, which the guy on the phone told me were available, and not only available, he mentioned having a ton of boxes.Took the 20 mile drive because I couldnt find them anywhere else and lo and behold, they dont sell them... Customer services was just horrible at this location contrary to most others where theyre very nice.Sad for Ganahl to have such a huge lack of control over their customer service, when their company is good.Only gave it two stars because it was very clean and organized inside. If it werent for that, I wouldve given them one star.

After a no success search for hardwood for a project at other locations I went to Ganahl Lumber and was presented with a variety of hardwoods. I chose Purple Heart for its unusual appearance. Price was better than I had imagined.

Every visit has been a memorable customer service experience for us. Jake helped me tremendously in explaining the different wood options for a classic chevy trick bed wood project. He said his supervisor was mentoring him on a wealth of wood and lumber expertise.

We purchased a few replacements windows from Ganahl. Everything from the initial discussion, measurements and the installers worked perfectly. Our sales person, Chris Meichtry was attentive and helped us select and purchase the most inappropriate windows for our applications. The installer, ES Construction, did a meticulous job of removing the old windows, preparing, installing the new windows and painting the frames and cleaning afterward. I am impressed with the attention to details and the work that was done for us. My wife and I are very happy with both Ganahl and their contractor. I highly recommend them.

Bad customer service! The employee I had to deal with was impatient and didnt want to hear me, acted entitled! Too much old money has spoiled this business.

The service and organization of their product here is more like Nordstrom - but at everyday prices. Everyone you deal with is prompt and courteous, they have a huge variety of quality products. Very impressive. For larger orders, ask for Phillip Ho. He is very helpful and knows a lot.

Really disappointed with customer service today. I called at 12:22 5/13/19 to ask how many 1/4” dowels were in stock, they reassured me they have plenty. I drive to Ganahl, and they are out of stock. Waste of my time and gas, because the person answering the phone was too lazy to walk over and verify stock.I compromised and bought 5/16” instead, the listed price on the label was less than the amount I was charged for.Ganahl is more expensive than Lowe’s and Home Depot, but I come here for great customer service. Not today, really dropped the ball this time. I guess I’ll be going to Lowe’s and Home Depot for now.

Compared to hd, well..there is none. The lumber here is much better quality and selection, and the price is comparable.

You are losing business on exotic wood and the wood enthusiast. You also, need to re-open on Sundays. Rockler is taking your hardwood business. And you need to let the public know that you are open on Sunday if you want that day to be successful. Saying that you want to give you employees time off for family time is baloney. Publicizing what you have makes all the difference. Staying silent and banking on your name is failure. Im a retailer, who never lets people forget who I am and what I do.

I needed to replace my back door and I talked to Don Juhasz. He was very abrasive from the start and seemed to try very hard to deny me service. I started off polite and ended up being very stressed out. He told me he cant help me and told me to go home and measure my door jamb. I thought I did and gave him the measurements, but he told me to do it again. I told him Id run and do it and come back. Then he said Im very busy with many appointments. He talked to me in a condescending way, which is unprofessional. I spent over 10k on lumber and supplies here last year, and as a builder I planned on spending much more as building season is ripe and I will be very busy. Thanks to this guy Im going to Rockler. Ganahl treat their local and loyal customers like refuse. Be warned and steer clear.

I love this place they have everything you need to finish a job that being said their customer service at the lumber area is a joke, especially the girl with the purple hair, god save you if you ever need her help, I needed some material for work and when I asked how long it would take she just rudely said I dont know and brushed me off, that alone makes driving 5 miles extra to home Depot worth it

Horrible experience. On May 19, 2015, we ordered two doors and paid $50 to have someone come to our home and take measurements. The price for the doors seemed reasonable but we need to find out how much it was going to cost to have them installed. They came and took the measurements a few days later. Since then, we have waited patiently for a price quote for the installation cost. Nether the salesperson nor his manager will return our telephone calls for information.
