Surprisingly hadnt already tried this coffee shop thats in what used to be a Starbucks. Saw they had a creme brulee latte & was enticed to try it out Saturday morning.ITEMS ORDERED:Cold BrewIced Creme Brulee Latte (breve, w/extra shot)Iced Vanilla Bean Latte (breve, w/extra shot)TASTE:I ordered both lattes with an extra espresso shot because I figured theyd be quite sweet which they were. But luckily the flavor was still good, but I feel like the drink would have been more to my taste if I added at least 2 (maybe 3) extra shots. Then again I like very strong coffees. Also ordered both lattes breve, which is basically half & half instead of what would usually be milk. Makes it much creamier & even just a little more viscous. The creme brulee flavor is executed through what seems to be a combination of vanilla syrup & caramel sauce. Its actually a pretty good flavor, & I feel the caramel flavor just accentuates the vanilla flavor in a nice way. Not sure Id be able to recognize this as creme brulee specifically though, but is it good. The Vanilla Bean Latte taste like a well made version of a vanilla latte. I do think I somewhat expected maybe a little stronger of a vanilla flavor since they call this vanilla bean. But even so its still one of the better versions of this drink Ive had.If youre torn between the Vanilla Bean Latte or the Creme Brulee just go with the Creme Brulee. Its really just a better version of the Vanilla Latte in my opinion.Cold Brew is a solid cold brew. Good coffee strength & flavor. Ive had plenty of cold brews that are just too watery & this one is not that.SERVICE, LOCATION & PARKING:Service was not bad but also not that super welcoming friendly service. Partly because it was very busy. Not sure if its always this busy on a later Saturday morning. Not sure if they were understaffed, or just got hit with a random rush, because it did seem overwhelmingly busy for 4 people to handle. Props to the staff working hard, but even so people including myself were waiting quite awhile for drinks. Ordered for pickup through Doordash & my order was ready at least 15 min after the estimated time. They are located on Huntington (& San Gabriel) in the Trader Joes shopping center. Very easy to find & lots of parking. Just be careful because its one way only through the parking lot lanes. When Im looking to indulge in a sweeter coffee I think Ive found a new go to in the Creme Brulee Latte here at Klatch.
My vanilla latte was disgusting.. so bad it was un drinkable. Unfortunately for me I decided to visit this location on a day the 210 has a closure and traffic is crazy.. so going back to get my money back for this cup of sour vanilla milk isnt going to happen. I used to love Klatch, Ive been to them all, even the one in LAX was my go to when traveling. But this was so bad. Something went wrong with quality control. Others have mentioned Klatch has changed over the years from great coffee to what ever they want to call this now. The staff used to be friendly and knowledgeable about coffee. Doesnt seem to be the case at this location.. so disappointed in you guys. You could do better.
One of the best coffee shops in the LA area. Really happy to have a location closer to me. Friendly efficient service and super quality coffee. Great pastry selection. Would highly recommend!
Klatchs Rose Lätte will blow your socks off🌹 !!!Drinking a hot Rose Lätte is perhaps something only Louis XVI or Marie Antoinette might ponder...Hah now mere humans may indulge in Royale ReverieLast year Klatch brought forth Klatchs LavenderLätte ~ ☂️ Lovely Lavender Lätte ~ Creamy, very creamy these Lättes ~ Lavender shall not visit again til Spring ~ But Rose will take care of you for now ~ either hot or iced ~ seems so decadent but ... First time at a Klatch - never seen them before but I’m from the east coast.Tried one of the summer drinks - coffee, tonic and cherry. Pretty good. I’ve had iced coffee and tonic before - in Beijing and Tallinn but not really seen it in the US before. And the cinnamon pastry was great.Friendly staff, maybe a bit pricey but so are all coffee places now.
Friendly staff, great pick me up drink in the morning right before or after grocery shopping at Trader Joes. I love how they have curbside pick up and they will bring the drinks to you, however, the curbside pick up can be tight with other cars that are no there for pick up around.Best drink - Iced Crème Brûlée . Silky and sweet. If youre not into sweets, can ask for light caramel. They take mobile orders! Just download their app and build points!
Been to this location multiple times. Each time it’s a different experience. This past time was the last time going. Ordering was a hassle because the music was louder then the person taking the order. Asked for the large sized drink items and received smaller ones. 2nd to 3rd time not liking the coffee from this establishment.
The only and the simplest way to brew coffee, taste great and fresh brew every cup
Best coffee I’ve experienced!
Looking for a great cup of coffee?Stop by here at least once. You wont be disappointed. Hot & fresh & their baristas smiles will make you feel so welcomed.Starbucks is so overrated.
Only very small coffee cups no large coffee taste weird they dont allow u to pay w cash only card because of covid i mean seriously thats rediculous.what about when u go to bank u touch money just use friggin antibacterial wipes unbelievable i went 1 time never again ...that place should be coffee bean there .💔😥👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
Cant go wrong with Klatch Coffee. They have won numerous awards. So smooth and tasty. Not so much swag because of covid, but I did pick up this super cool tumbler. The barista said she poured her cuppa in this tumbler in the am, and it was still warm when we showed up around 4p.
They promote Nitro Cold Brew Rwandan coffee so I decided to try it. I was disappointed because I there was no Nitro added to the coffee I was served. Typically it has a creamy texture, feel to it with no creamer added to the coffee. It was flat and uninteresting. Good tasting but I did not receive the product I was expecting. Would not try again. I purchased several other coffees for family members and they were okay with theirs but my experience was not pleasant.
What a wonderful delightful shop. Located on Huntington Blvd. in Pasadena! Huge Shout Out to Stephanie (she offered the extra from my Mocha Shake) instead of throwing it away! Many places dont do this, just because the container is full, to waste it, is unconscionable. Yes, I throughly enjoyed and highly recommend the Mocha and Cappuccino shakes. Made with real premium ice cream. The Mocha Frappe is amazing too! I am not a Coffee drinker, however the flavor of the Frappe and Shakes offer tremendous flavor. Smooth silky, creamy, cold and thirst quenching! Both drinks are prepared so well. The Blueberry muffins are good (Heated offered) or Room temperature. Their Service is impeccable and friendly! True Professionals, not just there for The Job! Family Owned company with several locations around Southern California. Reasonable prices. Highest recommendation 5 Stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I noticed that you are still not taking cash and I assume that is because of the covid pandemic. It is kind of frustrating that you wont take American currency but at the same time your employees wont enforce the mask wearing mandate and allow customers to walking maskless but wont take cash, this seems very counter productive and unsafe by your standards. Youre more than welcome to look at your security footage on May 18th approximately 1230pn there was a woman and a man that both were at the store without a mask not once did I see any of the employees asked them to put on their masks.
Coffee was so delicious I forgot to take a picture. The setup is great as well, only one high table without any chairs to discourage indoor seating. Plenty of space to allow social distancing and friendly baristas making great coffee. Today we order an iced vanilla bean latte with almond/cashew milk and a Patio Special. Both were great and I cant wait to come back and try more drinks.
Love their cold cap on tap!
Klatch Pasadena is finally grand opened today.Tastefully remodeled with an open layout complete with a flower wall. There is almost no seating save a long bench along the window for those waiting for their drinks. That seating arrangement may change in the future.Full menu is available with a decent selection of pastries behind the glass.
Great cold brew coffee
I love the lattes but still have to try the rest of the menu
It was my first time there and I asked about their coffee bean selection. I wanted a medium roast with citrus notes. The person that helped me recommended the El Salvador blend. Cant wait to try it!
I usually judge a coffee shops quality based on how they make a cappuccino, and for a chain coffee shop, theirs was great. Good service. A bit busy so be patient.
I ordered ahead but when I went to pick up, the manager had made a mistake on my order. She made the wrong drink, didnt include the extras that I placed and paid for in my order and then still came off with an attitude about it.At San Dimas location, theyve always owned their mistakes. Ive brought a drink back to them before and they were gracious about it, made a fresh drink right away and even let me keep the mistake order. At Pasadena, the manager hit me with an attitude, made me wait an extra 20 minutes, told me in front of staff and other customers that I needed to bring the other drinks back to her and was snippy in her communication with me. I dont care to patronize this location unless the management is changed to someone more professional or they are trained better. Sorry Klatch, but I know for certain that you can do better than this because up until today, you almost always have.
Its hard to beat the house latte (hot), iced chai, or BLT with avocado at any Klatch location.I wish this location were open later than 7pm.Be sure to ask what is in or comes with each dish. Example, artisan bread means sourdough for most sandwiches, but for the Showoff it means jalapeño bread. Some sandwiches come with pickles, some with salad greens. The Showoff is often big enough to share with a friend. And The Favorite sandwich keeps shrinking in size over time.Try the seasonal drinks: several are very good. Just ask what size they come in, as some are not available in large.Parking spots are easier to find in the evening. The lot is shared with Trader Joes, CVS, and a couple small takeout food places.
Went here a few days ago. Manager, Kim, was wearing her mask below her nose....as much as they claim to follow rules, she sure didn’t. Also, an employee there took her mask off and drank a sip of a coffee whilst taking my order in front of me. There’s no plexiglass, so we were a few feet apart. She then went on her phone, walking about the store. I understand that it was not busy, but they sure had a lot of boxes to unload. I would think this girl would have helped unload and organize. They also forgot my drink, and made another customer’s drink before mine, even though that customer came in a few minutes after me. Very unprofessional. My friend worked there for a few weeks, said they were strict about phones and working. Well, did not seem like it whatsoever.
Coffee was great. Staff was friendly and helpful. Got a hot mocha and a hot creme brulee. Covid protocols in place were straight forward.
The coffee cups have a vent on top for the steam and it makes it easier to drink. There is no slurping because the air exits through the top, not your mouth. Only in Pasadena.
Excellent coffee, no burnt aftertaste. Try the breakfast wrap or toast with honey, goat cheese and lavender. Yummy. Friendly staff and curbside pickup.
Nice and beautiful atmosphere 👌
Love “The favorite” add bacon! Staff was lovely as always.
The coffee is very differnt caffeine rich but it takes forever, and thats with no one in the line in front of me.
Klatch is my new find! Their creme brulee beats Starbucks caramel macchiato. Calm and lovely environment. Staff really knows their coffee.
I tried their Crème Brulee iced coffee (regular sized) with easy ice - $5.10; drink was pretty good. Its basically a caramel iced coffee. The drink was definitely on the sweeter side, and if you dont mix it well, you get a whole lot of milk. I dont know if Id order this again, just because the drink was more milky and sweet without enough coffee taste. Maybe it would be better in the blended version. My sister was captivated by the Patio Special, so I ordered that one for her in a regular sized. Drink is not cheap - $6.60, but I can see why so many people raved about it at the other Klatch locations. This drink has espresso, ice cream, chocolate, and their secret ingredient (which I think is an Oreo or chocolate cookie). Its blended together and tastes kind of like a very smooth and rice chocolate and vanilla smoothie. The whipped cream on top makes it even tastier. I was kind of skeptical ordering this for her at 6 in the morning, but she said it was the fastest shed ever finished a coffee-type drink. According to her, its better than any Starbucks frap shed ever had (and she drinks a ton of those). The only suggestion is that there wasnt enough espresso flavor coming out in the drink. She also thinks it would be nice to have some java chip or cookie bits for some added texture. And picked up the Chippuccino (regular sized - $4.75) as well. This drink is hot and is made with espresso, milk, foam, and carob. There werent many other customers ordering this drink at the other locations, and now that Ive tried it - I think I can see why. Its similar to a muted hot chocolate with espresso. I was told that if you want the drink to be sweeter, you can stir the bottom so that the carob chips will melt into the espresso, giving the drink a more chocolate-y flavor. I think it would be perfect on a cold day, but my dad wanted more espresso and less carob.tl;dr - So it seems like the majority of the drinks had good flavor but needed more espresso/coffee taste. Well be back and probably order different drinks (like the standard latte and espressos and cold brews) to get a better sense of what Klatch coffee tastes like. But I can definitely see myself craving a Patio Special and ordering this once in a while - with more espresso if thats allowed. They also have croissants, toasts, breakfast foods, and sandwiches for under $10! Highly recommend that Patio Special if youre not sure what to order.
Best coffee ever, my fav: Cafe Mocha with Coconut milk
So, so. Not bad. Friendly service
Best Espresso pulls on Huntington blvd. These Baristas aint playin out here!!!LETS FKN GOOOOOOOO!!!
Went out of their way to help me plus great coffee!
Service was very good, friendly and prompt. Unfortunately, both the latte and breakfast items were unremarkable. I was excited that klatch opened this new location and had high expectations.
Customer service was great but due to them just opening it took long to get our order. But the coffee and croissant was good!
My favorite coffee roaster in LA. So, so glad they opened a store in Pasadena!
Friendliest baristas ever!!
New fav coffee place to go around the area! Nice staffs, delicious coffees and bakery, also the interior design is pretty ❤️
This place was a let down compared to the San Dimas location. Coffees were just not as good and everything tasted watered down. NOTHING like the Klatch in SD.
Very happy Klatch replaced the big green!
Is was good
Big disappointment. They can’t handle orders of more than 2 drinks. With 6 employees on duty, some of which were standing around, it took more than 20 minutes for 3 drinks and 1 drink was wrong. Don’t bother downloading the app, ordering on the app takes longer.
Love this location!
Always 100%
