England is much closer than you think when you visit Rose Tree Cottage. We have the pleasure to return to Rose Tree cottage for those priceless moments of civilized Tea times. Edmund and Mary receive you in a lovely cottage ( and recently with the restrictions brought by Covid) in the gardens. We love the Christmas tea with brass band . Great place to shop for those scones, English Jams, Barbour jacket or English China among others. A must visit !

The Rose Tea Cottage offers the most charming afternoon tea experience in all of (greater) Los Angeles. Edmund and Mary are the loveliest couple who take great care in making their guests feel at home. We even played croquet with Edmund after our tea was over! The sandwiches and desserts are delicious, and their homemade scones are out of this world. I truly cant say enough good things about this establishment. If youre ever looking for a unique and authentic afternoon team experience, theres no better place than The Rose Tea Cottage.

Authentic English tea served to me, an English person in a perfect setting and perfectly presented. Do NOT confuse this place with down market Tea Rose garden which has NOTHING to do with true English tea time .

The scones are good, just be aware that the service won’t be the best, they treat you like you’re doing them a favor buying something.

The most wonderful English tea house in all of Southern California. The owners, Mary and Edmund, are inviting, friendly, helpful, and two of the most delightful people you will ever meet. Lots of unique and beautiful gifts, delicious treats and scrumptious tea and scones. If you havent visited here or had their tea service, you are definitely missing out on a wonderful experience. Beyond highly recommended.

The best British afternoon tea experience! We love Mr Edmund and Mary and all their staff. I also buy their freshly baked scones, clotted cream, jams, teas and Elderflower lemonade regularly. I always get a warm welcome from the owners and also from their cats :) Cant wait for things to reopen and go for another afternoon tea with family! They also sell beautiful tea cups and they also have a nice collection of clothing from Barbour. This is a must visit place in Pasadena.

The shop owners were most helpful. I stopped in to purchase scones and other items to prepare an English breakfast at home. The resident feline, Bob HRH, was very serene and sweet. 😺

Probably the only store in the USA which has a proper English butler open and greet you at the door and show you around the venue. A bit of England in Pasadena. Offers a full English tea with scones. Good place to pick up bangers, smarties, kippers etc

Afternoon tea served by Edmund and Mary and their lovely staff is one of my favorite things! Homemade scones, jam, sandwiches, desserts.. I think we had five courses of deliciousness today, served in the cottages very British tea room with their own house blend of tea. But the best thing about tea here is chatting with your hosts.. Edmund and Mary have many great stories to tell and are so friendly and fun! Highly recommend this experience!

There really is something rather magical and special about Rose Tree Cottage. The owners, a husband and wife team who have been running the tea cottage for 40 years, have a lot of heart and it shows. They take pride in sharing a bit of English tea culture with the guests. I appreciated learning a few tips, such as the proper way to eat a scone. And the scones...absolutely delicious! Everything was delicious and made with good quality ingredients. I will definitely be back to this high tea oasis.

Both the website and the signs at the business indicated they were open. Drove quite a distance and the door was locked, no answer to knocks or doorbell. Shabby business.

Great... but they wont serve you if you do not have a reservation even if they have space there theyre very rigid on that but its a very beautiful place also you cannot buy single scones you have to buy at least six at a time to take home but they are very pro-british obviously and full of stories and very traditional here I like it

So disappointed. Called first to find out when they open: 10 am. Circled the block three times to find parking (street parking only and its very limited). Walked up to the door, and theres a sign that says open 12 noon Fridays. Really? The website also says they open at 10 am. If theyd updated one or the other (voicemail or website) I wouldve rearranged my schedule before driving from Torrance.I cant wait around. And I wont be back.
