Have a question about your lawn, such as which fertilizer or pre-emergent to use? And when to put it on? Ask Kevin. Hes an expert. Its nice to go into a store where someone actually knows about the products theyre selling. We buy all our lawn care products and small animal feed there, and I have found the prices to be about the same as I find other places and online. Plus, its nice to support a small, local business.

My husband and I went in for a new chainsaw. The worker that helped us was super knowledgeable and friendly! They had exactly what we were looking for. We took in our old chainsaw for repair, too. They were too busy to take it at that time, but were honest and upfront about their timeline for repair. Well be back. The cashier was friendly and helpful, as well.

Ive been going here since I was a little girl and the whole side wall was bulk seeds! I grew up on a farm and wer had a HUGE garden and my mom trusted them, I do too.I love this place. I can take in a picture, fruit, or a leaf of a diseased plant and they can tell me exactly weekday is wrong. They have fertilizer for great prices. They have seedling potatoes and they still have some bulk seeds. They have great prices on their plants and sell things like bunches of Walla Walla onion starts, asparagus roots, and strawberry starts for great prices. You wont find expertise like theirs at Lowes or Home Depot.A couple of years ago my mom accidentally killed our grass when she put the wrong weed killer on the dandelions as we were getting ready for my sons wedding reception in our backyard. They were amazing as they worked hard to help us regrow grass in 90+ degree heat. Theyd helped so much and after coming in for more grass seed, they gave it to me for free! I love this family owned business.

In my opinion, Garbage customer service, they did not warranty the saw I bought from them, instead their customer service / mechanic said that the saw was defective due to saw dust getting into the intake due to user fault, mind you folks this was a saw that was purchased as a Christmas present for my elderly father and was not used for multiple months. It’s easy to blame the fault on the operator so you don’t have to warranty the saw, the claim would’ve had merit had we not had the mechanical background and experience with every make of saws around ! Over 200+ cords of wood cut, and split ( land clearing Russian olive trees for farming/finley.) in my opinion, I’d rather do business with craftsman brand, even though the saws would degrade a little quicker, Sears never questioned why or how, they were always so kind and supportive, sometimes giving us a new saw. Sometimes when a business gets to big, their actions are profit based and a customer is just a number..... never again. Thumbs down Columbia grain and feed.

First off the gentlemen who took the time to explain the weed eater to us was amazing. However Karen had terrible customer service. If an employee says there is a 10 percent senior discount, you don’t come out and change it to 5 percent because it was a mistake from the other employee. You honor the 10 percent. It’s called good customer service. Which I repeat KAREN has absolutely zero. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Sincerely the used to be customer.

Im a very busy guy with not a lot of spare time to fix minor issues so when my felling saw starting acting up I opened it up real quick found the problem, and decided to give Columbia Grain and Feed a shot! Starting out customer service was absolutely awesome. The employees were very nice and engaged with you. Now unfortunately thats the only positive I have from my visit. I had one of their guys take a look at my saw, without telling them I have many years of experience working in saw shops/taking them apart and rebuilding them from the ground up. Ive done wildland fire for many seasons and taking apart my saw is something I know very well so when the guy at the counter started listing off problem after problem I was shocked. I got quoted for 3 different parts totalling 167 plus a crazy labor fee of 85 dollars PER HOUR. I was told in the end I was looking at around 450 to 500 dollars after labor.I went home disappointed because I love to support local family ran businesses but they really let me down. I ordered the parts I needed for a total of 44 dollars online directly from stihl (not unnamed brands) and will just do it myself. Dont get scammed out of your money and go somewhere else. I really wonder what would have happened if I didnt act so clueless... 2 stars just for good customer service

If you are looking for a Toro get it here. The also have other brands but I was looking specially for Toro so I don’t remember the other brands. Very knowledgeable and don’t try to up sell you unless there are features that you would miss out on. They showed me a feature on a snowblower a couple of years ago that I would have really missed. They use what they sell. I would do business here again.

I would not recommend. Long story short they had a pressure washer that needed a new battery for the engine. They supposedly had it running great, yet when I picked it up, the parts on the compressor portion of the unit were conveniently in a box because the unit was taken apart so I was unable to start the engine. Once I got the pump back together the engine wouldn’t even turn over. I brought it back to Columbia grain and feed and all of the sudden I need a new ignition, then I need a new coil, then I need a new carburetor. I told them to go ahead and just get it done. A few days later they call back and say I need a new engine. I was a small engine mechanic for 10 years and know my way around them very well, I have a new job that doesn’t allow time for me to tinker on that stuff any more. Bottom line is they never had it running the first time and diagnosing to them is no more than throwing parts at it until they finally guess right. I paid my bill and took the machine with the box of parts for the second time and I am just going to take the time from my own job to do the job right.

Needed a replacement battery for our Honda mower. Was having an issues finding a replacement. Took my mower and owners manual to the service department. After pulling up the wrong battery per the manual a quick look at the mower found our manual was the wrong one. They were able then to pull up the correct model and battery type. Battery is on order and manual model number was updated for future parts needed.

Paid $100+ to have a Stihl chainsaw gone though and tuned up. Started ok after getting it back then I shelved it for a year, started it once the following year and ran it for a couple minutes then shelved it again. Got it out the following year to cut some branches (never *really* used it until this point). Chainsaw would not start or stay running for more than a few seconds. Pulled the plug and it looked dirty and the gap was almost fully closed. Took the saw to another place near my home and they told me the filter was dirty and plug was burnt and the chain was dull. They only charged me $40 to fix it all for real this time. I feel like Columbia grain & feed didnt do a thing and took my money.

I purchased a cub cadet rider from here in 2016. Everytime I need something or I have to pay $300 a year for servicing and storage something isnt right. I had a mulch kit put on at the get go. Blades were on upside down and it took them 3 tries of hauling the mower back and forth for them to figure that out. I was frustrated with the mowers performance with the mulch kit on any way so specifically asked that it not be put on. It came back with it on plus the panel with ignition and controls was loose. The second year I got it back without the cover that was on it. They say there wasnt a cover on it when they picked it up. Hmmmm wonder where the cover went. The mower sat for about a week before I used it the first time and one of the front tires went flat. This year they picked up the more sand my new cover. When it was returned to me, 2 of the 3 bolt caps on the motor cover were missing and I cant get the oil cap off to check the oil. I went in last week and asked for replacement caps. They were supposedly ordered and was told they would be here 3 days ago. I went today to pick them up and---you guessed it-- they havent arrived. I highly doubt they were actually ordered. The manager wisely took some off a different mower (I can only surmise as I had to wait 15 minutes or so) and magically produced the caps. I am going to leave the parking lot now, go home and they better hope they fit. I dont know what I will do about the oil cap yet, but it wont be handled by Columbia grain and feed.

I would not ever buy anything here again. I bought a used lawn tractor for 850 dollars. I was told it was the best used tractor on the lot and the whole tractor had been gone through and was in perfect working order. None of this was true, total lemon. This thing has been in the shop more than not, and is back in the shop right now. Not only am I another 500 dollars in to this tractor, but I had to pay a lawn company to mow while it has been out of commision. My whole experience has been bad.
