Although my friend didnt find what she was looking for, Barb referred us to someone who could make exactly what she wanted. She was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

Great furniture and wonderful sales person. Allowed you to look without bugging you but available when you had a question. Delivery was on time and delivery men were the best. Wish I had discovered this store sooner!

My wife and I were shopping for a few bedroom pieces to add to what we already have. We knew that we would not match perfectly the style and thought we could come close to the wood type and finish. We stopped here to see what was available in the pieces we wanted and how close we could match the wood and finish. What was displayed on the floor was nothing that interested us and everything seemed to be done in a dark, almost black finish where you cant see the wood grain; not at all what we wanted. The sales person, dont recall her name, showed us other items that could be custom ordered and tried to help us match the finish color. She kept directing us to a color panel that did not at match the color of the drawer we had to what we were adding. When we found something close, the issue of what wood was available and other factors of the finish now was requiring additional costs. We had already shopped at other Amish stores and found better matches at better pricing. This store had the style that best matched our needs. Too bad there was the wood and finish issue. That lost the sale.

I am from Amish country. And I have had the opportunity to see amazing TRUE Amish made furniture. And the stuff that is being sold from this store is not true quality Amish made furniture. What you will mostly see from the Amish oak store is large production quality furniture that they charge way to much money for. Some things to know before going into any tourist type store that states that the furniture is made by the Amish. The Amish community is very detailed oriented while producing or constructing any products let it be a shed or a small shelf. However, each piece of furniture is cut by hand. They don’t use production type machines. They use a lot of hand tools. They are allowed by church to use certain electric types of machines so they can produce quality products. When you walk into Amish oak store each and every piece is exactly the same. Down to each grove. One thing about hand crafted items. Each and every piece have minor imperfections. You may have to look very very close to catch them. However, you may not see them. With this location which I have been into several times you won’t find any imperfections. Which means they are mass producing these products. True Amish furniture has individual markings. And you will never find 2 exact items. Even if you purchase a table and 4 chairs. Each item the table the chairs the leaf everything will have its own individual appearances none of it will be exactly the same.

She couldnt be any more helpful if she also fed me, clothed me, and provided a college education for all 6 of my children. Speaking of which she handled them all with a grace that could only be described with words spoken in tongues long forgotten.
