I’ve been using Avenue sound for years and have had great service. Unfortunately they have a new kid named Gavin working the desk and answering the phones. I’ve never dealt with someone so disinterested in customer service. I left my car there for 8 hours to have an issue fixed and nothing was done. I called to reschedule and Gavin said he would call me back, never did. I called again and he made up some excuse about the reason my issue was still present, complete lie. I’ve since brought my vehicle to another business and had the issue solved within a half hour. I still consider Avenue sound great, but Gavin sucks. Also doesn’t wear a mask.

This place is horrible. The owners are rude and only care about money. Super unprofessional. Last time I went in there the owner of the store was in a screaming match over politics with a customer for over a half hour. Then they tried to charge me $40 for a used part that is $18 new on the company website. Absolute joke of a place. Take your money to Main Street Stereo, they’ll care of you

They really know their stuff. Wish I had found them before going somewhere else.They finished my radio install, got it working properly and put in a backup camera. Also added new front headlight to my Subaru - all is good to go now.Plan to go back to have a dash cam installed at a later date. Fairly priced

I bought a Sub system for my Ford Super Duty pickup and these guys hooked me up with the some serious bass for a low price. Neat work...its hard to tell someone worked on the truck at all. Well hidden unit, neat wiring, about an hour of educational chatting with the supervisor while i waited on the techs and i was done and on my way. As a small business owner im crazy about customer service and friendly greeting. I told these guys i didnt want to spend a lot and they found several options.

Sold me a 700 dollar alternator that never worked. The employee that I dealt with no longer works there.He gave me the run around for months. I got stuck in the car multiple times. After a year I finally called and gave them one last shot to make it right. They refused. Thank god I saved all my documentation on the conversations we had and my towing and repair costs. Going to get legal representation now and sue for compensation on all on my losses. Including towing and labor to fix the disaster they caused. BEWARE

I have now gotten two things done there. They have been very professional and helped me with any questions or issues Ive had.

Ive been coming here since they moved out of Sayville. The best place to get your after market car, truck and boat needs. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I have never had a bad experience. I recommend this place to anyone who loves good service a great products.

Brought my car in because the audio system would turn off repeatedly.. was told i needed a 300 dollar alternator..didnt fix the problem and they wouldnt take the alternator back, they proceeded to tell me it was my amp so i purchased another amp for 500 dollars. Still the same issue.. turns out it was a loose ground wire..meanwhile i spent over $1,000 between parts and install with them...complete rip off

This place is amazing! My digitizer cracked in my car and I must have called them 7 times in the span of a day trying to figure out my best options. Joe was a true saint dealing with me all day and looking things up for my vehicle. Fast forward to today when I took my car to be fixed. They whole staff is incredibly nice and worked on my car immediately and it was also affordable. Definitely would go back and recommend.

Picked up car after install of custom kicker box. Billy did an outstanding job. No way I could have thought my system in a 1968 Mustang would sound like this. They are over the top!!!! If anybody needs stereo work and I mean some serious custom stuff, stop down and see Billy.

My new Honda Civic did not come with a CD player, and they do not install anything after market. Avenue Sound said that they had a unit they could install. The shop did not have the unit in stock on the day scheduled for the installation, so they sent Ralph to my home when it arrived. He completed the installation, and was kind enough to explain to me exactly how it worked. Ralph gets 5 stars, the shop itself only 4.

I dont think I have ever had a better experience at a business before and felt like I was being put first. However, Avenue Sound completely changed that. The owner who has tons of experience with his skill has been in the business for many years. He greets you at the door as you walk through with a smile that paves a feeling of stability for your visit. Plus every worker there seems to be happy as well as helpful and kind. I came in today for a emergency led installation for the fire department and as soon as I walked near the garage I was greeted by one of their hard workers who took time to look at my car and see what I needed. Overall the owner and the staff is very friendly, the place is clean as neat and I will be back very soon for my speakers as I told Jay!-Jack

Horrible place for remote start installation. My remote start NEVER worked consistently, car wouldnt start. I brought it back to them to fix & they charged me another $100 & it STILL didnt work! Stay away from Ave Sound, they dont stand behind their work!

Everyone who works here is great! Great customer service and great quality! I had a stereo put in and it took under an hour to be installed as well as replace 2 speakers! Sean even took time out to show me the details of the new stereo, including the buttons and how to connect it to my phone. To start I get a call from Ralph before I even arrived explaining there is a chip on my door handle and he would like me to see it before work is started. I was confused and explained I have no door handles as I am bring in my Harley and will be there is about 40 minutes. I was the wrong customer called. BUT I find that actually GREAT that they wanted to communicate such with any customer. They got on my bike rather quickly and did the AMP and 4 speakers with care and professionalism second to none in my book. I have had many a custom install of audio equipment done in my day and Ralph and Billy kicked this out of the park. The system sounds amazing, while that is because of the product itself (Rockford Fosgate) the installation was flawless. I am a perfectionist by nature and the care and respect given to my Bike was as if it belonged to them. Are they the cheapest - NOPE! You can find cheaper BUT at what cost?

Avenue Sound did so right by me. They installed a Kicker sound system on my motorcycle. The control panel went bad two years later. Ralph, one of their reps stayed on top of getting a replacement, kept me updated by phone, and got the job done. Excellent service and customer care. Highly recommend.

I had a new sound system installed and headlights, and fog lights on my Mercedes. All work was professionally done and on time! All lights worked without tripping the computer. I have had work done at Main St Stereo in the past on other vehicles and had nothing but problems with equipment not working properly, This was a pleasant experience at Ave Sound!! I now have a renewed faith in having aftermarket work done on my car. I have been using Avenue Sound for the past year. They have been Excellent with their service. I even locked my keys in the car and i did not have a spare key and they went out of their way to get a key made at the Dealer!! This saved me a ton of money and I will recommend them to everyone!!!

Bought an adapter for my car and it dod not fit. Went to return it two days later and apparently they do not accept returns. Only will give you store credit. Never shop at this place again. If it was a week later i would understand but come on. Really after two days you will not give money back.

Everyone was professional,friendly and the prices were right in with everyone else.Ive come in for remotes, speakers and cameras on my truck bumper. Never ever had any problems at all. And if I didnt understand something, they took the time to explain things...well with the trip!!!

One star is giving Avenue Sound entirely too much credit. DISHONEST... BUYER BEWARE. Typical bait and switch, DO NOT USE!!! Attempted to get a remote start with a smart start add on. I Was quoted a price over the phone and verified in person the same day. I requested additional prices on multiple accessories all of which were reasonably priced. When I revisited the store to go over each item individually the prices changed. The salesman response was only the sale is over. My response was, the salesman I was dealing with was involved in an accident and was unavailable. The prices should have been honored. A female, which I assume was an owner or manager, attempted to say she would honor the price, however out of sheer principle the damage is done. The sales staff is dishonest. I am not an inexperienced young buyer and expect not to be treated as such. I had 2800 to spend on various items and now I will be purchasing these items at a competitor. Long story short. DISHONEST !!!!

Staff was very helpful and met my requests. Bought the 10 Pioneer amp and sub enclosure for our Audi a3. It is a perfect setup to add lows to a entry level stereo, it also bumps very very hard if you turn the gain control up (which he mounted in the glove box for me on request).We wanted something smaller to go under the seat as I thought this was the best route. The salesman/technition took alot of time and effort to make us happy and explain why this wasnt the right choice for what we wanted.I was able to get a nice discount and the quality of work as of day one is perfect. Will update if anything seems to fail or act up but this seems like a great place to do business.5 stars!8-21-1811-3-18 working flawlessly no issues!

Had a stereo installed in my vehicle. Since then the battery in my car kept dying. When I jump the battery the stereo doesnt work. Brought car back they fixed it for nothing. It happened again. Just left it not working. My son brought my car back to them to fix it for me. When I went to pick it up they charged me $70 something dollars. I questioned why, they state their labor is guaranteed for ever, the woman that owns the place stated they dont guarantee their labor when someone else touch the vehicle. So that meant when AAA jumped my vehicle they null and voided guarantee. This is not the first incident we had with them but believe me it will be the last. I will never deal with them again and hopefully you wont either

I attempted to put an auto start in my car and right before I finished up and tidied the wires up, I shorted my disarm wire to ground and burnt out some electronics. I brought my car to them and they figured out the problems within an hour. They fixed whatever damage I had done and installed their own auto start for a reasonable price . They saved my ass and they were very nice guys at the store. I am a very happy customer!

Walked in to get a remote start and was right away greeted by Randy one of the salesmen. Within seconds I was given the info I needed and when I went to set an appointment he said you got some time and held his hand out for my keys. Was in and out in 20 mins Ill definitely be going back.

Never go here. Used to use them till I found out they are a bunch of idiots that dont want to help you out. Had door speakers done there they overpriced me had a 9oclock aptmnt, didnt see my car until 3:30 to find out they forgot to hook up my latch for my trunk. I recently bought rear speakers and installed them myself I could of easily done the door speakers too. I bought 2, 12 inch pioneer speakers and put them in my box(through avenue sound) now when I power on my car I hear static when music is not even playing. GIVING THESE GUYS ONE STAR IS ENTIRELY TO MUCH and I will never step foot there again because they say they want to help you but never do because its one problem after the next

I waffle between 2 and 3 stars, because right now im really not happy. They installed the radio fine, but tried to charge me and additional 125 to install the one cord that makes the wheel controls work with it, which seemed excessive. Also i had a issue with an auto start they previously installed and when asked to look into it they said it was working fine, but the issue persists even now. IN ADDITION, they ran my card three times because their pos system kept timing out, so my card declined at my next stop which is really embarrassing and now I have to call my bank. Not pleased, especially for a place recommended by friends and family. Would likely not go back again.

Great staff working here, each guy is knowledgable in what they work with, some better with the security systems and others better with audio. Good deals as well as available help. I had messed up part of my subwoofer installation and these guys were out there in the cold weather helping me out. Good experience.

Horrible service, went there for an upgrade to my stock speakers and subwoofer, was shown no name speakers and was given a very high price. I ended up purchasing some sound dampening material for 2 doors and sound baffles for $85. When I got home and looked up the prices for the items I had bough, I found out the store made up their own prices and the actual items cost $35 from their own website!!! I brought back the items the next day and they couldnt tell how they came up with those fake prices. They are a total rip off, would never do business with them again.

Best store in Patchogue by far. Very friendly staff the information they gave me was great. I went in talking about a subwoofer and an amp that I wanted to get for my car they went into detail with the subs and the sounds they make and their display for the subs are incredible. This place really does not stand behind the products it sells. My brother came here to buy an amp here about 2 weeks ago, first he spent about $190 on a Lighting Audio amp to power his dual Kicker sub woofer box that he also purchased from here. After coming home he realized he rather spend the extra bucks and decided to exchange it for a Kicker amp which was an additional $130 which was all fine until this week when we installed it and realized that they sold him a defected amp that had the wrong box and no owners manual. Yesterday he goes back to see if they would give him a new one and they tried to make him spend an extra $80 for them to ship the amp back to the company and tried selling him a Rockford Fosgate amp with half the wattage of the defected Kicker amp. At the end my brother just got stuck with a defected product and short $320. This is really unjust on their behalf.

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD WITH ANY STORE IN MY LIFE! The woman who says she is in the owner, seems to be completely unstable. She lied to me numerous times about appointment times, she make false accusations towards me, she screamed and cursed at me AN MY SON in the store and tried to get me to pay for something that I already paid for! She refused to let anyone in the store teach me how to use the remote start. They are very shady, underhanded and unprofessional. I have never experienced something like this in my life. I brought my car in at 8:30 because I was told they would be there. Nobody showed up until 8:55. I called at lunch time to ask if the car was ready or if they had any idea of a time, and this women just started yelling at me and giving me a horrible attitude. It was just a question, in hopes I might have been able to make it out before the snow storm came in. it was at 5:30 when I called again, and she yelled at me again, and said it might not be ready till 8! Once i told her to forget it, give me a refund and I will take my business somewhere else...my car was conveniently being worked on at that very moment. HA! Now that I have had it for a few days, I realize the quality of what they put in my car, is garbage! It takes at least 6 tries to get it to start and you cant turn it off again if you need to. A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT and a very UPSETTING experience. STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM AVENUE SOUND IN PATCHOGUE, NY!!

Place is good for audio work. Had my nissan Sentra and my Audi TT done here. My Audi had some complications with installation, as in the stereo was humming due to a grounding issue, but it happens. The only problem They are a bit pricey. If youre considering this place, also consider the price they are giving you and take a quote from somewhere else. You may or may not find it cheaper. Overall good customer service.

Bought 10 inch sub, with amp and installation. Work right down the street close by to this area and on my way home later that day sub blew, I than go back and they put a bigger sub in. they call me to tell me the vehicle is ready and tried DOUBLE CHARGING me for LABOR. Funny thing is I had a sentra ser spec v about a year ago and go a sub and amp done over there and the same thing happened. My sub had blew up in 2 days. NEVER will I EVER step foot there again. Would not recommend to anyone.

The service over the phone is annoying...They hesitate to answer questions & try to rush you off the phone by telling you come down to the store. This way they can try to suck you into buying things you probably dont want.
