I had the good fortune to meet Tracey Groomes some years ago at another location and immediately recognized her professionalism and expertise in kitchen design. When we were ready to remodel our kitchen, I sought her our at Consumer’s new location. She guided us in so many details as we selected our preferred cabinets, sinks, quartz, etc. It took much patience on all our parts, but she stuck with us and tried to both please us and caution us as needed. We are very pleased as we view the project coming together.

I had the good luck to meet Michael Meister when I arrived at Consumers in Patchague the first time. We were planning a gut renovation of our kitchen and Michael was very patient, helpful and fun to work with. He expertly guided me through selection of all the kitchen components, colors and choices and was very encouraging, (even when I changed my mind/ selections more than once). All time well spent. Any degree of renovation can feel overwhelming at times but I can highly recommend Michael Meister as a consistently professional designer and guide through the process.

She understood my concerns and walked me through the entire process. She gave references to the right place for my back splash design. He was patient and never got frustrated with my constant changing my mind. He walked me through each step, showing me my options for the layout of the kitchen, the crown modeling, the cabinet doors. Michael really took the time out to help me pick just what I was looking for. He was thorough in his appointments, always punctual and followed up within 24 hours with an email whenever he said he would. Our familys experience, working with Tracie Groomes at Consumer Kitchens, was very positive. Her deep knowledge of the variety of options available, her openness/readiness to discuss costs and to suggest options were very much appreciated. An important plus: Tracies friendliness and interest in our households specific concern and extreme patience with helping us work through our complex layout issues made this entire experience much easier. Our only wish was that home visiting was part of the job description. We would have very much enjoyed discussing our needs, and visiting with her, in our home.

Went in to browse. Not terribly impressed. Seemed kind of sterile, geared toward people with generic taste. No bathroom tile display at all. Focused more on kitchens than baths.

Consumers has a lot of choices, styles, and excellent displays without being overwhelming and I cannot recommend Michael highly enough!

This is second project using Consumers Kitchen & Bath. We did a total bathroom renovation and Tracey made it stress-free and easy!! Now the kitchen and we chose Tracey again and she did not disappoint . She was very patient and spent many hours with us designing our beautiful kitchen! I worked with Michael Meister at Consumer. He is upbeat, positive and extremely easy (and fun) to work with. I trusted his design and advice during the whole process. His communication and response time is quick. The beginning stage was smooth. Unfortunately when our kitchen cabinets arrived, after waiting 6 months, several items were damaged, one entire cabinet even made incorrectly. We are still waiting on a few pieces and have YET to get an answer from Consumer as to where they are. Consumer has made no effort to show urgency in the matter, apologizing for the mess-ups or even a phone call, after us patiently awaiting 6 months for our cabinets. The follow up is always on our end and it’s frustrating getting no solid answers. Very disappointing after starting off with a pleasant experience, the ending is NOT pleasant at all.

Tracey.. thank you for listening and putting into a great design everything I asked for. You had a tough job with this small space, but you made it work for me. My new kitchen is beautiful!

My wife and I dealt with Michael Meister at consumers. He was a pleasure to deal with. This was our first major house project and we were a little overwhelmed with all the details, options and decisions we had to make. Our kitchen is not an easy layout to work with. Michael was very easy going and patient. I was very pleased and would highly recommend.

Incredible showroom, great price & quality. Delivered when they say it would be. We spend a lot of time making changes with the salesperson, we wanted it just right, and they were patient and knowledgeable. One door was discolored, it was quickly replaced and look great.

I did my bathroom first, it was the only place I found a vanity that I liked, had a lot to choose from, the salesperson was very good. Bathroom looks great and I was very happy overall so I went back and ordered my kitchen it was a pretty big project, cabinets, counter, appliances, floor and a window. Got it all from Consumers except the floor and window. Very happy with the design, delivery, installation, etc... Love it.

Tracey Groomes is a godsend. We were planning a kitchen remodel but we really didnt know, what was involved. So many choices,like a jigsaw puzzle. Purchased a kitchen in December of 2020, it is May of 2021 and we are still waiting for our kitchen to be complete. Kitchen arrived on time in early February, called Consumers the same day to let them know there were issues. It took nearly 3 weeks for them to communicate with us and re-order cabinets, only to receive them 6 weeks later and be incorrect again. We are still waiting on the 3rd set of cabinets. We understand things happen, but instead of communicating what is going on, apologizing and doing whatever they can to rush things for issues on their end.... we get nothing but excuses as to why its going to take another x amount of weeks, etc. I do not like making negative reviews, and the cabinets we do have are beautiful and the price was great. BUT customer service from before you pay to after is drastically different and extremely unfortunate when there are issues with your order.

We’re remodeling our kitchen and worked with the fabulous Tracey Groomes to design the perfect room for our family! She was not only friendly, helpful and knowledgeable but very patient with all of our changes. She also gave us some great ideas to add to the kitchen that we wouldn’t have thought of. Tracey acted as if she was designing her own kitchen and put a lot of hours into helping us. She really made us feel like our project was the most important to her. We couldn’t have asked for a better person to work with.

Theyre okay nice stuff but a lot of an inventory comes from another state and because of the pandemic its almost impossible to get anything done. Ive been waiting over a month its something that should have been shipped out to me in 2 weeks and when I went down there they told me that the company that they get the cabinets from is closed and they dont know when its going to reopen how nice how professional

On Feb 21, 2021 I visited the Patchogue showroom. I was looking to replace my worn out bath vanity. My salesman, Michael Meister, was friendly and very well informed. He even suggested how the vanity door should open as not to be difficult tho access the storage area. I picked out the style, color, vanity top, and sink fixture . Michael explained every step, answered my questions very well. A most pleasant experience. Thank you very much Michael and Consumers .

I purchased cabinets & received December 2019, had them installed January 2020 by a contractor I reached out to Consumers Kitchen & bath March 2020 due to one of the cabinet hinge, the screw fell out. I had to call Consumer and Bath a couple of times to get help. They had service call me to tell me that wood glue and toothpick would fix this, that this happens with screw hole gets bigger when doors were taken off and put back on with installation. I told the service guy that the doors were never removed and he did not listen nor care, was dismissive telling me that this is what happened. I told him the cabinets were delivered with the doors on, that I was in the home during the installation and doors were never removed and he told me I was wrong. I called the sales person Joe and he directed me to Tracy Groome. Initially I was told that the amount I spent on the cabinets was not a great amount. I told her then if there was an amount required to spend then why not tell me my $7600 was not enough and then to reject me. I was then told that Starmark cabinet manufacturer would call me and they did and were helpful. They mad a house call and fixed in June. This delay was due to COVID Pandemic . Now the same cabinet door top hinge is loosening and the screw is loose and falling out. Again I called Consumer Kitchen & Bath, The same guy in service Joe returned my call after I had to leave a 2nd message. He told me the same thing as last year. I then contacted Tracy and she told me she could not help and to reach out to StarMark Cabinets and best regards. I dont fix cabinets or anything around the house. This cabinet waa defective from day one.I would not recommend this company to anyone. They are dismissive, non communicative. To tell me to fix brand new cabinets by sticking toothpicks and would glue is not good business.

My husband and I worked with Tracey Groomes, Assistant Store Manager and Designer, at the Patchogue Consumers location. From the moment we sat down with her she made us feel comfortable and took the time to see what we really wanted in a new kitchen. After numerous changes and visits we really feel like we are getting the dream kitchen we wanted. There were things she suggested, that we didn’t know we wanted or needed, that we now see we can’t do without . It was a pleasure working with her! Arriving at the door, the lady didnt even great is. Looking kind of judgy . And no associate ask us if they could help.

Showroom is not yet completed. As a result, many bathroom items are not on display. Staff was friendly. Vanity prices seemed a bit high.
