I appreciate this company paying me back the shipping fee, but have to say that my record came in damaged on the jacket. Thankfully the disc is fine. I dont know if it was their fault or the carriers, but I hope this does not happen often with their other customers.

Ordered a vinyl from them on Record Store Day. I received an order confirmation and everything so I no longe prioritized getting that vinyl from other stores and places. The next day they canceled my order and claimed I requested it to be canceled. I emailed them back saying I never requested the cancellation and they said they oversold and wouldn’t be sending me mine. Very upsetting. Giving two stars and not one because this is only my first experience with them.Edit: The customer service rep said he would try to find me one so I am bumping this up to 3 stars for the effort.

The atmosphere was amazing, the staff was friendly, and even with a lot of people in the store it didnt feel claustrophobic. Its easy to see where everything is and the layout works well. Will definitely be back.

Took all my Dads old records here. Granted they werent super valuable however Mike was fair and honest. Didnt take advantage at all broke down the whole process and took them off our hands.

Unfortunately the Record Stop did not live up to my expectations. Two out of three interactions I had with the staff were not friendly. I couldn’t help but feel that my being in the store to purchase items was some how an inconvenience to the staff. I did notice a regular that seemed to get star treatment which is great for him but wouldn’t you want to create more ‘regulars’ as well?The store was clean and reasonably well stocked, I managed to spend $100 there. I cannot say that there would be any advantage to returning as opposed to buying online.I cannot recommend this store with the enthusiasm I would for other local businesses. A staff that makes you feel like a bother really offers nothing to me as I can purchase albums online. I had high expectations when planning my trip and unfortunately the store didn’t meet those expectations.

I was in the area of the other day and saw this store. I stopped in to see what older albums they might have to add to my collection. I’ve loved this store for some time now, but the last time I went in I was super disappointed. My friends and I walked in - the only ones in the store - to one guy putting some records away and he totally ignored us. Not even a glance up or a welcome. We browsed around for a bit and we were ready to check out. The guy was still putting some stuff away but we were visibly at the cash register. He continued on with whatever he was doing while we sat there. Then his phone rang and he was talking for some time until I went over and asked if we could checkout. He said responded with “you’re ready?” He checked us out and we left. Good selection of music and records but not a friendly environment. Felt very unwelcome in his store.

Great place for vinyl. Nice selection of new and used records. Prices on new stuff is a little high but their sale items and used are very good. They still have lots of record store day releases from this year and previous years and great discounts on the older stuff. The owner and the staff are very welcoming and helpful.

Found a rare Frank Ocean here for a surprisingly fair price. Not to mention fair prices all around the store on pretty much everything. Friendly staff too w/ well organized operation. If you love vinyls go here for sure...

Cool Record Shop with lots of new music and tons of used vinyl. I got the feeling that theyve been picked clean of most of the really good used vinyl. I did find an absolute treasure: an unsealed original copy of one of the greatest albums of all time, and at a fair price! It was worth the 20 minute trip. After the response from Record Stop, Ive decided to upgrade to 5 stars. I love a place that cares.

This place is one of a kind. Every title, artist and genre. Its not big but its packed with great music. Its a little hard to find what your looking for, so be prepared to spend some time. Prices are a little higher than Amazon, but you get to take it home with you.

Great inventory knowledgeable and hip staff

Excellent selection! Staff was super knowledgeable and friendly. Some shops took the movie High Fidelity a bit too seriously and take on the air of museum curators, but the staff here was really approachable and unintimidating.

Clean, decent selection, my only issue was the way the albums are organized from top down as apposed to bottom up like Im used to. But thats just my preference.

Seemed like a great store, a wide selection of vinyl, new and used. But just getting back into vinyl I asked an employee behind the counter if the remastered recordings take some of the nuances out of the old records. He said he wasn’t sure that he really didn’t listen to vinyl but their were guys in the back that did and he would ask them. Not one person came out to talk to me, just relayed a message saying they were just as good. I figured if you work in a store like this you would be excited to talk to a customer just getting back into vinyl. I left kind of disheartened, and not sure I will return, a shame.

Great selection of Vinyl and CDs.Staff has excellent knowledge of what is in stock, or when they can get it in by. They knew a piece of historic vinyl I owned and was able to tell me if it was worth anything from memory alone.Will be returning for Record Store Day and new releases.

A Long Island landmark is back. Extensive new and used vinyl selection. CDS and cassettes too. You could easily spend a few hours here going through the bins.

They have a very nice store layout, maximizing the amount of product that they can offer. There are great selections of both CDs and Vinyl Records. They even have a used section for both CDs and Vinyl where you might just be able to find that obscure record that you have been looking for or even discover the something new. They only negative, and Im not taking any stars away for it, the parking kinda sucks.

Long Island has a growing number of great record stores as vinyl continues to experience a renaissance, but this shop in the heart of downtown Patchogue has quickly become one of our new favorites for new and used vinyl.Its not a huge place, but it is well-stocked with a clean, welcoming appearance and, above all, a very friendly and helpful staff.The used records are clean and rated by condition so you know what you are getting. They also have a huge online presence to help you find anything you cant in the brick-and-mortar location.I recommend Record Stop whether youre looking for a hard-to-find record or CD, or just want a relaxing place to browse while enjoying all of the other great restaurants and bars in Patchogue.
