George and the rest of the crew are amazing! They will give you all the details you want about your vehicle and they will work with you. I bought a car from a friend and went to them to check it out. Found I need new struts and timing things (cant recall the full details) totalling up to near 2 grand and george sat with me and helped me find multiple options to reduce that price. How many mechanics will help you lower what you pay them? In my experience, 0 until division auto. I had a headlight bulb go out and tried to replace the bulb myself. Replaced the wrong one and called george the next day. He had me come in immediately and replaced it, no charge, no problem. I think no charge cuz he just popped the replacement I bought in the right spot, taking maybe 10 minutes of his time. My family goes there, my friends go there. Its a great place. Even if they were 20 minutes or more, assuming my car could drive it (depending on the car trouble) Id drive to them. But I bet theyd help me get my car to them if I couldnt drive it to them.

My car broke down Friday evening and they were open on a Saturday, it was repaired by the time I got out of work Monday. My parents bought a car there years ago and had it serviced there for years and gave them a great recommendation and now I do too! Great place and people!

Had my car towed to George because I was leaking antifreeze. He did zero testing and declared I had a blown head gasket. He was rude about it. Had it towed back to the dealership, where they carbon tested it. No blown head gasket. Put it under pressure and found the problem was a bad hose clamp. George was unprofessional. Im glad I didnt listen to him, because he told me my car wasnt worth fixing.

Pretty straight forward. No complaints.

Soon after I bought my 2001 A6 2.7t I had a minor overheating issue. I replaced the fan and battery, took it for a drive, and then had a catastrophic cooling failure. I brought the vehicle to Division St Auto at that time for diagnosis and repair after being recommended (very highly as they are VW/Audi specialists) by Warren Tire on Broadway in Pawtucket. They managed to squeeze me in last minute which I appreciated. When I came to pick up the car I was told there was “no way the car will overheat now, they double checked everything.” After an 800 dollar fix that was great news. I drove the car for literally 5 minutes before I overheated again. Great. So this tells me that they never took the car for a test drive after performing a major service. Auxiliary water pump, coolant flush, a few hoses, the intake manifold gaskets, and a vacuum check valve. Needless to say that’s not what I expected. So I bring the car back to the mechanic, Mike, who said he probably just forgot to connect a hose. After almost an hour of waiting for a new diagnosis which made me late for work, Mike said it probably needs another major service, the water pump and thermostat. That’s a 1200 dollar job. So, as I had no choice, I had Mike do the job. Since I got the car back, my check engine light is on, I’ve had to replace a clamp for my intake hose, I had to plug my headlights in, I had to track down a vacuum leak, and I noticed that not one of the vacuum hoses have been replaced. The headlight, no big deal. The intake hose clamp, not a big deal. But the fact that they had to remove the intake manifold on my car means they had to disconnect EVERY VACUUM HOSE on a 20 year old, 180,000 mile car. Those hoses clearly needed to be replaced. They are frayed and dried out. Today, 6/10/21, I found and reconnected the vacuum hose, but only after I called Mike to explain my situation, hoping he could help me out. He said he’s booked for 2 weeks. When I explained I need an inspection by Tuesday, I was told there’s nothing he can do, he’s booked. It took me an hour to do. Would’ve taken him less. I expect any mechanic would exercise their due diligence and advise their customer that they needed this work, especially if they had to take the hoses off anyway. I wasn’t advised about any services performed until after they were done. This is extremely unprofessional, especially for a shop that supposedly works on these engines all the time. Mike said himself he has a customer who will only take their car to him because of the level of service they provide. My question is: after 2000+ dollars of work, how did they miss that? I will not be bringing my car back to them after this, this is unacceptable.

This shop was highly recommended to me. I brought my 2016 Ford Explorer in and the staff took care of me. Very reasonable prices for their work. Oil change, tire rotation and they took care of a hesitation I was experiencing. I even forgot and left my credit card there and they called me promptly to let me the know. I would encourage everyone to give them a call for your service needs.

I went there to fix an oil leak in my Kia Rio 2009 they said it was fixed. I ride it for week and the leak started again they charge me 130$ for it supper high they said that they change the part but they never show me proof of it they never show me the old part. They never give me option to choose a cheaper part they just buy it from the factory with out telling meand then charging me.

I have come here on the advice of my step dad, usually for a state inspection and minor repairs. They have always been very accommodating and efficient. They are excellent mechanics with very fair pricing-I have never had to return my vehicle for a job they performed. I highly recommend the Division Street crew!

George is good guy, but the last time I took my truck there for repairs they charged me 3k and didnt fix what they said. I asked them to replace the gaskets throughout the engine, instead they took my $180.00 FelPro full engine Gasket kit and kept it and didnt change them.They replaced the belt tension pulley which was fine, now the one they put in squeaks. I asked them to replace the fuel pump due to the old one loosing pressure, istead they fixed the float and my truck still doesnt crank over nicely. And lastly the check engine light was off for years before they touched it, now its on and they told me its O2 sensors, but you would think if they drove the car for 10 to 15 miles it would come on so they could fix it, nope, instead he lied to my face.George can act personable and friendly but if you DO NOT know your vehicle, they will take advantage of you, beware.

Break more than they fix. Took 2 days for a 2 hour job. Dropped my car off with full tank picked it up empty. They broke my tailpipe off my muffler and let the car leave that way. Left my trackbar bolt loose. Exhaust clamp loose. Stripped my shock bolt and left it that way. Removed pipe to converter clamp and the drivshaft SAFETY support bracket and didnt put either back on. Denied everything and said everything was put back. The parts must of magically disappeared! To add to this painful experience the sender level for the fuel pump is most likely bent. Gauge wont read full after filling. Makes a lot of sense since I saw the so called mechanic forcing it in instead of tilting the pump.

It was lousy, your lousy mechanic installed a cooling fan for me and forgot to plug it in, there fore my car over heated and blew the hoses which cost me hundreds of dollars more to get it repaired, by a real mechanic, Im more than sure you are going to blame the car blame this and that, I told your mechanic upon returning the fan wasnt running, before the owner showed up I spoke to the mechanic he stated he never tested it, anyone going here do your self a favor and run
