Very fun place and considering the other hotels we visited on our vacation. At least people seem to be winning. We even won a few hundred but played it back. Maybe next time!

Stopped in on a busy Friday to see if they had any rooms, they were sold out but the girl with the tattoos on her arms went above and beyond to give us a list of local hotels and cross off the ones she personally wouldn’t stay at she even let us chat with her and she was such a delightful woman to talk to. We stopped and had some dinner and it was amazing the food was so good and the dessert! Don’t get me started on that, I was licking the plate clean! Got to talk to some other workers, Tall security guard brown hair had glasses. What a sweet man! He was also super helpful and let me know where I could find anything. Everyone was extremely amazing and I will be making sure all my family knows how amazing this small casino is.

The casino did an amazing job on the wedding event! I would suggest this place to all wanting a great experience on their special occasion. Veronica, the event coordinated was exceptional! The food was fantastic! If your looking for event space look no further in Payson!

This is an awesome casino. Always super clean, bathrooms are clean and neat. Restaurant is also clean and food is great and reasonably priced. Everyone that works there is pleasant, smiles and greetings for all. Altogether a very pleasant experience. We went early in the day to avoid the smoke smell from smokers. Only one suggestion: air filters could be upgraded. Definitely 5 stars.

Its OK. Very small venue. Food & alcohol service seemed to be lacking. Had to ask 3 times for a wet towel to wipe up a sticky spot at my seat(which was also on me). The breakfast bus schedule was OK. Only 1 bartender/ server in the small sports bar. Our 2nd trip to the bar I had to wait so long that one of the patrons sitting at the bar even asked why I was waiting so long. Bartender didnt even acknowledge me to let me know she saw me. Needed another bartender or at least a server. And why no cocktail service on the floor in the morning? Ridiculous.

To much smoke!! This place needs a Non Smoking area or stop the smoking period! Not healthy in the 21st century.They brag about their Air filter systems, but that does no good when people are blowing smoke in your face every 5 seconds, cause everyone you sit near is puffing & blowing away, masked or not.

Well, slightly disappointed with this casino... freeplay didnt take effect until the following day, and alas, I was gone. Small and very humble, and the people were of good spirits. Just wish I got a chance to take the reels for some spins. Oh well, maybe next time.

While headed up North, we usually stop here for breakfast. Good food and service every time. Since it was pouring rain, we decided to stay and play in the casino. Lots of great slots.

Had a great stay! Only stayed one night but it was really nice and comfortable. The room has a little sitting area with a fridge and a Keurig. The Keurig even had a hot chocolate, being a non coffee drinker, I was super excited! The bed was a king for myself and my husband, clean sheets and super comfy! We will definitely stay here again! We really like this place is nice and quiet.

Small casino, great place to stop and leave some money. Great restaurants. Smoking is allowed.

This casino was fine for how insanely small it is. I kept thinking this has to be just a part of it nope. Only 1 blackjack table with $10 min. I have been to quite a few casinos and this one is near the bottom of this list. They dont even give you any gratuity when joining their players club

Service has gone downhill since my last visit last year. I was actually told by a maintenance person that he owned the tribe. What???? My previous visit was wonderful, but moral is definitely DOWN!

The food was excellent and the waitstaff was fast and efficient.It is a great place for seniors to eat. They have an excellent seniors menu with sandwiches, soup, salad and a ribeye steak that will make any steak lovers mouth water.If you are up around Payson and are hungry, they can fix you up for a reasonable price.Park in the east lot for a shorter walk to the restaurant.

The Cedar Ridge restaurant has the worst service of any place weve ever eaten. It started with the waiter telling us he was going to cut us off because we were being loud. Everyone had just been delivered their 2nd beer, nobody was drunk, but we were a little loud. But the place was empty. Telling us kindly to keep it down wouldve been fine, but some 19 year old kid threatening us like that was ridiculous. It took forever to get anything and our server, Jerome, literally never got anything right. He couldnt remember who ordered what, it was absurd. Then after we got our food we never saw him again. It was probably 45 minutes before we saw him and the only reason he came back is we called the restaurant and asked to have him sent back to our table. Then the bills were all screwed up, I had someone elses beer on my tab, but I paid it because I didnt want to wait another 20 minutes for him to figure it out. The food was good, but everyone in there was extremely rude and our server was flat out incompetent.

Passing through we decided to stop and have some casino fun. The entire place was so clean, casino floor, bathrooms, restaurant...everything!! We also got a room and spent the night. The suite was so spacious and plenty of room for 3 people to sleep comfortably. I was so impressed and will definitely be back.PS: The Thursday Prime Rib special was AMAZING!!!

Smoke filled place with no restaurants open. Lots of money lost and no wins. Dont waste your time.

Too Smokey. Nobodys wearing a mask. They dont really care if you get Covid or not as long as you give them your money. It would be nice if they were non-smoking during the outbreak and required masks while playing.

If your going to be the most expensive hotel in payson, i believe you should make sure that the experience is not only A+ but the hotel looks great as well. Wasnt expecting to get into a room that only had ac in the bedroom, while the rest of the room was overheated. The tv in the bedroom was tiny and the screen was damaged as there were lines on on the screen. The hallways in the hotel had the wallpaper coming up in a few places and looked to be black mold growing. Tried to check in early the counter lady was extremely rude. Definitely will be staying somewhere else next time im in payson

If I could give this place no stars I would. Save your money and dont stay here we booked 2 nights and are cards only worked one night then we had to get new cards cause we were locked out of our room and they lied to us about the problem and its been none stop with this casino. Save your money they are rude

Breakfast was very ample and tasted good. It was clean and basically back to post pandemic rules.

Great little casino in the mountains, loved the machines they had quite a few have not seen in a few years. Had fun and walked away with a few more dollars than I came in with.

Staff is cordial, its never too crowded, broke even, so all in all a good time@!

Weve stayed here many times & always been pleased, but today we checked in, got to our room & no hot water. When I called I was told they were working on the boilers & didnt know how long it would be. So at bedtime we still cant shower. It would have been better if they had told us before checking in so we would have had the option to go somewhere else.

We ate dinner at the restaurant. The staff was very nice and attentive. Ive been dying to try the prime rib since moving here last year. I was not disappointed. The prime rib was outstanding with fantastic sides. The restaurant was very clean and they regularly clean the tables. My wife and I decided to play a few slot machines afterwards. Again, the area was clean and the staff was very friendly. Walked out without a loss and had fun. I will recommend this place to my friends and family.

There ribs are some of the best I have eaten my waiter was polite and courteous.

On a road trip and the kids had to relieve themselves and the gas station that shared a parking lot was out of order. They directed us to the casino to finish the job. 10/10, was able to pee.

We got here on a Monday and stayed a week. When we checked in they were very quick and the room we got was great. It was bigger than expected and was kept very clean. Room service and the cleaning service was also very good and quick when we used them. We got the king sweet and it could easily sleep 4 people. They have a pull out couch that can sleep 2 also in the room. The pool was clean and the restaurant was good. I didnt play any games in the casino but everyone looked like they were having fun. The only bad thing I can say is that they do allow people to smoke in the casino. I wasnt in there much so it wasnt that big of a deal to me. Staff was very friendly and helpful at all times. The door man Michael was the one who stood out to us. He was very helpful to us and we had a great conversation with him. Just a great guy doing a good job and always smiling and happy. Thanks for the good MMA/UFC conversation it was really neat to hear and I enjoyed the conversation. We will be staying here again next time we stop in Payson.

We visited the casino for the Payson Gem and mineral show that they have every year and it was bigger than usual.I walked around the machines but not alot of people were winning the day I was there.

Very easy to navigate through. Free parking for up to 3 days. Casino has free soft drinks and great friendly atmosphere 👌😌☺🙌

Stopped by to use the restroom which was very clean. There was a lady in the restroom spraying disinfectant in each stall after each use. Thats wonderfully reassuring to see. I dont see the grocery store or Walmarts doing that level of disinfecting!Played a couple of slot machines for 5 minutes then continued on our way.

It was a nice, friendly experience for our anniversary & everyone was kind and very accommodating. The room was exceptional.

I loved the room. Staff at front desk were all great. I wasnt thrilled with the ambience of the restaurant or the bar though. I guess I expected them to be more glamorous.

Really reminds me of an Old Vegas Casino that Smells like a Ashtray n old machines....Hotel rooms non smoking....Pillow smelled like a dirty Ashtray ! Couldnt wait to leave.. couldnt sleep.Food was good in restaurant though

We stayed over Mothers Day weekend and their rooms are really clean. They do have thinner walls, but the cleanliness definitely has us coming back to stay again!

Casino was clean and safe. Ate dinner there food was delicious and reasonably priced. Help was friendly.

Not sure if it was good or not they where closed at midnight to 8am. Couldnt even get a room. At 4ish in the am. Weekday. Then tried to run us off while we where looking for other accomodations on or phones...btw Priceline is a scam got us for $90 and we couldnt get the room. If you in that area quality inn on Payson is said hotel that wouldnt give us are room that was paid for!!!!!

Incredibly tight slots. Miserable experience. DO NOT GO TO THIS NATIVE CASINO. ABSOLUTELY NO CHANCE AT ALL. THE BONUS? ONLY PENNIES.This CASINO is tighter than Vegas. The worst Ive been to, except Harrahs Riverboat Casino in Metropolis, Illinois. The same ripoff.

Nice casino, clean but if you like to win a little when you gamble, dont come here. Machines are as tight as casino in Prescott.

We went into the casino only, it was very smokey inside, they need better airflow, older casino, nothing fancy. We didnt stay long because of the smoke.

The Casino was clean, a bit cigarette smoky for me, but you could tell that the ventilation was on and working. For once I didn’t freeze to death, the AC wasn’t blasting! We had dinner in the restaurant. It was really good. My husband had the Chicken Parmigiana and I tried the pot roast. It was quiet, well social distanced, and the server was polite, and made good menu suggestions. Got to love honesty. Don’t try the meatloaf!! Hahaha!!

I really appreciate the health precautions taken to enter the casino. Great playing machines. Clean environment. Not a smoke free zone. However housekeeping going around cleaning surfaces frequently.

We stayed in the hotel which was actually fairly nice. Very clean and seems to be recently updated. The casino much less so. Buttons on machines stick alot so we switched to blackjack. Food at the Cedar Ridge restaurant was absolutely terrible the 1st night. We had short ribs (a sliver of meat sandwiched in between a thick fat layer and a bone), country fried steak that was basically deep fried breading with a slice of jerky in it, and soggy mixed veggies. We looked for other places the next day but being Sunday most places were closed and lacked options. Had a really cheap meat French dip and an actually really tasty grilled chicken avocado sandwich. Would definitely bring pb&j to keep in my room if I were ever to come back here.

Today I listened 2 my inner voice I went 2 the Casino and WON....About 300$....very happy....

We stopped on our way through and gambled a bit and for a small casino the slots paid pretty good. We ate lunch at the Cedar Ridge Cafe and the food was excellent. I had the Philly Steak sandwich and it was one of the best I have had in a long time.

Use to win there alot but ever since 2008 it sucks. They only have 2 machines in there that win.

Stayed at the hotel and the room was good (accessible) although a bit pricey. Was surprised that the casino was smokey as others have gone no smoking (Cliff Castle for example.)Ate in the restaurant and were disappointed. The famous meatloaf was generic and institutional. Service was perfunctory. Good thing though was the ability to get a small plate on the Senior Menu.Went to the bar and didnt care for it. Overall, a mediocre experience.

April 17th i stopped in the casino for some fun, I then left and realized I can get breakfast here at the Casino. So I returned after leaving the parking lot. I got a soda and ordered my breakfast. 20 minutes went by and people that came in after me were seated and served as I still sat waiting. The waitress ran by my table and slid a refill of my soda on the table and without another word darted off. Very unhappy and left at 850 am without my breakfast.

I love the hotel here the room we got is a sweet we have an outside patio a small kitchenette a living room with the fold away couch and even a dining area the bedroom is very comfortable and soft and even extra pillows the place smells clean and it is clean I love this place and the best thing is we got a grill a restaurant and a casino just downstairs doesnt get any better than this

Inside the casino it was sticky and humid and smelled like an old, dirty ashtray. I prefer other (non-smoking) casinos.

Was decent. Big on the outside, but small casino. Waited too long for a waiter in the restaurant, even though it wasnt busy, so we left and went to Subway.

Thank you for having truck parking. To show my appreciation. I had dinner at the restaurant which was delicious. Left the waitress a $40 tip on a $20 bill & left $20 at the blackjack table. But as they say in Vegas : There are no losers. Some people just pay a higher entertainment tax. See you next time.

We regularly stay here when we visit Payson and stay in one of the suites. We get the room that has 2 queen beds and a pull-out bed/sofa. The suite has a door that separates the area where the pull-out bed/sofa is and the master room. Its great if you have kids who want to stay up or dont want to watch the same shows as you. Theres a 2 tvs, fridge, coffee/tea/hot cocoa maker, counter for food or treats, ice bucket, cups and mugs. Theres no microwave though. The bathroom is great because the toilet is separate from the shower so thats a plus. My kids love the heated pool and hot tub. This is especially important during winter time when theyre dying to swim and its freezing outside. Weve only ordered room service a couple of times and consider the food decent for its price. We also like the casino because... hey... its a casino! Over all I would say that Mazatzal is a great place to stay and the staff are just so nice and helpful. I really like this place!

My friend and I had the opportunity to spend a night stay at Mazatzal Hotel &Casino . Our experience was great. We had 4star room and service. All services were great and well accommodated for a safe stay especially in the era of Covid experience. It is not my first experience at Mazatzal Hotel &Casino.

It was ok. Maybe older people would enjoy it more than i did. Not my age group..

Very disappointed. My wife and I play a few times a month. She won 1600.00 three weeks ago. She went yesterday for her Birthday playerclub denied her comps, because she hadnt played from November 20.20 She has played every month of 2021. What its only 10 Dollar play. No resolve.

We like this Casino. Good restaurant and reasonable gambling. They were enforcing their mask policy quite rigorously but seem to have backed off recently. That is a show stopper for us as we are both older and dont really need covid. Vegas, at the Palace Station, was rigorous - with violators warned once and then escorted out. That is the correct policy. We would like to see Mazatzal do the same.

Stayed in room 105 on March 23, 2021 and woke up full of bites! I’m not sure if it was ants or bed bugs but my hand and foot got swollen, bites all over my legs. I’m not one to complain very often or even write reviews but in attempt to contact the hotel to notify them of the situation the manager replied there was nothing they could do. This post is to notify families staying there to be careful because had my child been with me and gotten bite i would have made it a bigger issue about it. We use to stay here quite often but I’m not a fan of bed bug bites so matazal casino will no longer receive my business.

Love this casino! Beautiful view from the suite. Its a 1 bedroom suite, compfortable bed and couch. 2 TVs, small fridge, sink and coffee maker. I would definitely stay here again. Staff was very friendly and I felt safe and compfortable.

Horrible casino!! the worst experience Ive had at a casino. Manager was rude. we left shortly after getting there. they harassed us because we came on bikes and called the cops as soon as we showed up! trying to celebrate a friends birthday.
