I love this place! The owner is one of the most polite and courteous people I’ve met. He’s very knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions I had. I cannot recommend this shop enough. Very clean and very focused on providing a wonderful customer experience! I will definitely be coming back and this show will always have my business!! I love this place!

Impressed with this place, there are some new issues I want to buy and as they come out Jared sets them to the side for me and has them ready for me at checkout. His system also records my purchases so if I forgot if I already own it he can tell me whether I do or not.

I can not recommend First Edition more as a boutique hobby store. I have been coming here for a number of years now and I’ve never been disappointed or felt unwelcome. This is one of the only hobby shops I’ve ever been in that I would feel assured that my wife wouldn’t be harassed while shopping or belittled on her interests, and that is so invaluable. Jared keeps his space immaculately clean and welcoming, and he knows each customer and their interests very well. Any time something new that I may like comes on his radar, he makes sure to ask and recommend based on my previous interests. Don’t be deceived by the small space, it’s stocked to the brim with great board games, new releases, and models. If there’s anything I want that he doesn’t have, he does all he can to work with suppliers to get the items that I want. If you’re new to the area and looking for a small business to support, this is your first stop. Additionally, the Covid-19 precautions always made me feel safe at the heights of the pandemic.

All the comics are within the last 5 years. No good back issues.They have a dollar bin section... Where not much is actually a dollar in it.Its a decent place to get new books but as a collector it is not a store I find useful.

First edition comics is owned respectfully by a true comic book connaisseur and is maintained with the same passion that one should have when running a business dealing with this type of media. I will definitely come back here just to get my hands on models, comics and others things. But mainly for the great customer service. Considering that I arrived here on Free Comic Book day and was treated like a paying customer, I would have no issue coming back and spending my coin.

I walked in without a mask, the employee said that that there are masks by the front door in case I forgot mine. I do not shop where masks are required and you shouldn’t either.

Seems like only new mass produced collectables. Employee was very pushy made us feel almost not wanted. Not sure if Ill go back😕

I have been going to 1st Edition Comics for a couple of years now and I couldn’t have been happier. Most people might know about the marvel, DC, diamond distribution change recently which from my understanding has created some issues with how Jared runs his subscription model. I want to take this moment to say that Jared has done a phenomenal job of keeping my subscription folder full of titles that I have asked for without skipping a beat. I really appreciate how the change hasn’t effected my reading pleasure and all that credits goes to the hustle of Jared and 1st edition comics. I couldn’t recommend strongly enough for everyone who reads comics to stop into the store. If I could give more then 5 stars I would.

I’ve been a comics fan since the early 1980’s, and this store is what I remember from those early years. What an experience! I now bring my kids here, and they (predictably) love it, too. The owners are amazing! Patient, VERY knowledgeable, and downright friendly. I’m grateful this store is in PTC, and delighted to know it appears to be weathering the pandemic storm. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Being away from comics for some time; I decided when I found my old collection that it was time to pick back up on an old hobby. After traveling around, I found a place somewhat hidden among the now busy PTC area that stands out among all the others. The first thing you will notice is that you are always greeted and acknowledged when you first walk in. The owner makes it a point to get to know and understand each customer.When you enter the store to your right are all the new comics and current back issues you could ever want. Don’t fret if you do not see one you may be looking for; just ask! The shop owner always goes above and beyond to help you find what you need. One experience I had was when we were looking for a sequel to a series found at the library, Jared was able to locate and order it for us.In addition to comics they have POPs, Marvel Legend figures, even board and trading card games such as Magic. If you are geared more toward the comics, they offer pull and hold services as new comics are released each Wednesday. This service allows you to look ahead to what’s new to be able to select what you want and request the shop to hold them for you. Always check their Facebook page for new comic information, what’s on the horizon from the major publishers, and additional information on the pull and hold services they offer.Pair that with their recommended 3rd party app titled league of comic geeks and you can track your collection and create a map of comics to look forward too.Also check out their You tube channel – search Direct edition.A few of the other services they have are the availability of boards and bags for your comics upon checkout. This allows you to pick up and look through a title you may have interest in and see the overall condition of the book as opposed to competitors were books are already sealed and possibly hiding defects. They offer gift cards and additional supplies such as storage boxes as well. A detailed receipt of your transaction is always provided.Jared is a master of his craft and has a wealth of knowledge that makes this the place to become a regular customer. I LOVE 1st Edition!!! I dont even live in the area but this is my go-to comic shop. The shop is always clean, well organized, and provides nice places to sit. The owner is the kindest person and knows everything about his wares. He can recommend comics and games based on your tastes, and if he doesnt have it on the shelf, hell order anything youre interested in and have it available to pick up at the store. If youre looking for a great place to pick up comics, board games, collectibles, and other cool nerd stuff, you should DEFINITELY visit 1st Edition

While living in GA, this was my go to for my comic subscriptions. There were closer comic shops to me, but 1st Edition staff were always extremely helpful and they also stock citadel paints, miniatures and board games as well.Can’t recommend this location enough.

THE ABSOLUTE BEST! Hands down the best game shop experience I have ever had. The dude was super friendly and helpful. I am from out of town, and stopped in to pick up a new dice set. I felt as at home as though I were at my own local shop. Then when I left, I dropped my headphones in the store. I called just to see if they were there (just so I could stop looking for them) When he heard that I had taken an Uber to get there, and had no way to come back for them, he offered to drive to my hotel to drop them off after he closed up. Just a good dude. Great selection in store as well, I got several minis as well as the dice set. If I am ever back, I will most definitely be returning

A great store with a super friendly owner. I felt like a regular even though it was my first time visiting. I got a great price on some polyhedral dice sets and he was able to answer all of the questions my husband and I had. Its a little small, but the selection is well rounded. I cant wait to go back. :)

It is a great comic book store if you are looking for DC or Marvel. They have very little Indies. They have a small games section and no pop vinyls. The employee was very friendly and helpful.

Excellent shop with a great selection of comics and table top games. Jared will bend over backwards to find you what you want, and he works hard to learn your tastes so he can make recommendations (which he always nails). He is also knowledgeable on all his games and can walk you through the game play basics to help you make a decision. Id also add when I started coming in I was pretty much a comics novice, and I always felt supported and never judged for not being a super knowledgeable.

Definitely the best comic shop Ive ever been to. The staff is personable and knowledgeable and the store is well lit, clean, and organized - all of which can be extremely hard to find in a comic shop. Plus, if they dont have something on hand theyre more than willing to try to get it for you. I live much closer to a different shop but its well worth the trip out of my way every week.

Jareds great at running the shop. Theres always a good selection of mainstream comics plus more than a few from smaller publishers if superheroes arent always your jam. The place is always clean. If you ever need a suggestion, or just want to talk comics, Jared can always recommend a comic or talk about them at length. 10/10

I get all my comic books and figurines from here. Jared is extremely friendly and always ready to help. If you ever have any questions Jared usually knows the answer. Its really enjoyable just going into the store.

I love this store. I am new to comics and I wasnt at all intimidated on my first visit. Jared, the owner, is very personable and knowledgeable. Great store! Its refreshing to find a clean and well organized comic book and gaming shop. They have a good selection of games, including a lot of the current popular titles, and theyre willing to do special orders. The store has a cool loft vibe going on, and there are tables to get your game on in the store. Not only do they have plenty of copies of the comics you want, they also do subscription lists. Collectible action figures and geek merchandise are for sale, too. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming.

Very nice little store. A bit on the small size and they specialize in comic books. Not much variety when it comes to games, collectibles, manga and roleplaying books. Very clean and very well organized. The clerk was very nice, friendly and welcoming. Overall a pleasant experience.

Ive been a loyal goer for 1.5 years. In the years I have been a collector/reader, no shop owner has been as courteous, friendly, and all-around helpful as Jared. This is a shop that is here to stay!!

First thing you notice is that this place is very clean and organized. This is a newer shop than some of the ones I frequent, so its possible given a decade or so things will be piled high. The owner, Jared, has been there everytime Ive gone in and hes extremely polite and helpful. Definitely stop in if youre in the area.

He is more than willing to help find anything a customer may desire if he doesnt already carry it in the store, including calling local competition stores just to make sure the customer can get the product immediately if he/she desires. He makes great suggestions for those looking for new books to read and is a wealth of knowledge about comics. He takes a personal approach to his professionalism (greeting all regulars by their name, pulls subscriptions for customers as they shop without them having to ask, etc.). Jared is a great small business owner that cares deeply about his customers/business and one that everyone should be happy to support!!!

I went here the other day and purchased what I thought was going to be a complete card game. I had never heard of the game before and asked the guy at front what it was. He gave a small explanation and said it was fun but liked the original version better, not mentioning that the box was just an expansion and needed the original version to be usable. Clearly I had never heard of it and had no idea that I just wasted $25 on a box of cards that are usless without buying the original game. I am very frustrated that he didnt mention that it was just an expansion.Also, it says nowhere on the box that it is an expansion.

This is the cleanest comic book shop anyone has ever been in. The issues are up to date and easy to find and the staff is expert level on all things comic related. No more wandering from store to store to find what youre after. If 1st Edition doesnt​ have it, theyll order it for you.

This is the game store Ive been seeking for a long time. I had no idea they would have such a great selection of classic and designer games. The owner, Jared, talked to me for like an hour about my history with games and what I was looking for and then made some recommendations. He also let me check out in detail one of the two authentic GeekChic gaming tables he has in the store, which was a treat in itself. He says he has others on order. This place is the real deal. They also have lots and lots of comics, and even though comics arent my thing, the way they were displayed made me want to at least look at them. It is 100% worth checking out.
