I tried to order one for my husband for Christmas 2019, I simply inquired about the timeline or deadline for customization and shipping. Customer service rep sent me a scathing email about how I should have ordered it back in June if I had wanted it for Christmas. Even after this I was still willing to order because my husband wanted one so badly. But their continued correspondence was horrific and then just stopped. I gave up. Im terribly sorry the owner was diagnosed with cancer and I would have loved to have supported them through this by purchasing a barrel. I dont understand how such a previously highly rated company crumbled when this happened.

Pretty sure the owner had cancer, maybe he passed away? Put 5 stars so people would read it.

My wife ordered a personalized barrel as a Christmas present for me last year in October and we have yet to see it. We have emailed and called repeatedly with absolutely NO RESPONSE. Now the phone number on the website is disconnected. They got her money fast but haven’t returned any correspondence since last December. I guess they can’t be bothered with customers who have already paid?

Ordered in August 2019 from the Iowa State Fair for a Christmas gift. It still had not arrived as promised by 1st week of December.Emailed them requesting a refund, got a return voicemail telling me the owner had cancer, they were working on it and it would be shipped soon. Emailed again in March requesting refund again with no response. Tried calling and number is disconnected. Now, I am sympathetic and understanding to the fact someone is ill.... but someone else should have been in charge to handle the business dealings and issue refunds for the product they were not able to produce.

Ordered from the Iowa State Fair 2019 to commemorate my 15yrs of armed service. Got one response saying it would only be a couple weeks back in December. Awful way to treat customers, even more so when they’re Combat Veterans.

If I could give a zero star I would. My order gr over a year was sent 8 months later and Barrel was leaking. After another month of trying to communicate with them I get a response that my ítem was going to be rePlaced in 8-10weeks. Over 6 months have passed and nothing received. They don’t answer my messages. Total fraud company. Awful. Don’t waste your money as you will just be losing it. -Youvani H.

This place deserves negative stars! I order back at the MN state fair for my wedding in April and when the barrel was supposed to ship it did not. I have called multiple times and emailed and no response. I filed a dispute with the better business bureau in Texas and they wouldnt do anything about it! I also filed a dispute with my credit card company and Deep South Barrels tried saying that I took the barrel with me at the state fair which is not the case at all! This is so unprofessional and I am mind boggled with how a company can get away with STEALING money from people, based on all the reviews Ive been reading they probably have stolen hundreds of thousands of dollars! If anyone is reading this that is in the same boat as me, what can we do to make sure this company doesnt get away with it?

I ordered my barrel in August 2019 at the Minnesota State Fair...OVER 8 MONTHS AGO! They took my money, I approved the design but Im yet to receive anything. Ive emailed and called the company but am yet to get a response. This is the worst company ive ever dealt with...well given money to. I dont know if I can say ive dealt with them since Im yet to be able to reach anyone at the company. Dont worry with them...yes, their concept is cool but thats all it is, a concept since youll never receive an actual product.

Ordered one of there barrels back at the MN State Fair in August and havent heard anything back from them. Ive emailed them several times as well as sent them a text and tried calling on the number thats listed on their website and got no kind of response back. I have never dealt with a company with such poor communication. On the website it had stated that someone had gotten very ill and that there would be a delay which I understand, but it is now almost April. That is completely unacceptable for any business to run this way. For anyone who works for this company that sees this, if I wasnt clear already, I want my money back!

DO NOT ORDER WITH THESE PEOPLE! We ordered ours at the BIG E in September and still have not received it... they were fast to charge our credit card and completely unresponsive to emails, calls and social media posts for help! UNACCEPTABLE. Makes me want to stand next to their booth next year at the BIG E with a sign telling everyone NOT TO ORDER

I placed an order last year. They messed up the spelling and said they would fix it but it would be a few weeks. I still to this day haven’t received what I paid for. They stole my money and now aren’t bothered to even call/email me back. DO NOT do business with them!!

I ordered back in January and still haven’t received it. I gave them the benefit of the doubt due to the virus, but still have no received a phone call or email back about that status of my order or to get my money back. I already paid. This place is a scam.

DONT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. They take your money real fast and send NOTHING. No correspondence from them after numerous attempts. SCAMMERS.

Took forever to receive like everyone else. About 8 months. Then once received, the product was a total failure. Did the proper curing process and it leaked like it was used for target practice. The company wanted pictures, which was supplied...but never got anywhere with them. I would say if you value your money, go elsewhere to purchase your barrel. At this point I wouldnt even buy a dixie lilly cup from them.

Shopped from them at the Texas Renaissance Festival and the barrel has held up well for years.

If I could give Zero stars I would. They are total scam artists who go to fairs getting people to make special orders then never fulfilling them. Almost a full year later I am still in dispute to get my money back.

Dont order from this company. As all other reviews never received the product that was ordered. No response from the company regarding a status or a refund. Their website is no longer working.

Last communication was in December and they told me to print off a picture for Christmas and that it would arrive shortly after and now it’s almost April and nothing and they’re not responding to communications.
