Always a good experience at OIC optical in Peekskill. Our whole family goes here for exams and glasses. I highly recommend them.

I’m Sept 7th I had an appt. The Manager of the office Rhiannon S. was extremely rude. She left me on hold for 3mins then came back and stated that the office was on lunch and never allowed me to speak after putting me on hold. I then called back at 2pm when the office was scheduled to re-open and the phone went straight to voicemail. I called back again and she put me on hold again for another 3mins. Then returned and stated that I would have to reschedule my appt. again being rude and not allowing me to speak. I requested to speak to the Dr. in charge Dr.Cohen and she would not let me speak to him.The customer service at this facility has truly changed from when I used to come. Rhiannon S. is extremely unprofessional to be an office manger.

After 20 years, I will no longer give my business to OIC optical. They billed my insurance for service that I did not request or receive. They refuse to reimburse me for money that I pre paid but did not use last year. The billing clerk argued with me and was extremely rude and refused to settle my account. I will take my complaint to the better business bureau. On top of all of this, the person who tried to measure my frames WAS NOT VACCINATED and was breathing close to my face and was touching my frames and face.

Very polite staff. But,OIC likes to make sure or trick you into using the insurance that covers less on frames to make you pay more out of pocket.No matter if you are a returning customer, this happens every year.They like to make you pay out of pocket for glasses before being sure that your insurance has gone through.They instead give you an estimate / quote on what that insurance should cover, then make you pay the rest.Call your insurance company and find out how much they cover on glasses before you pay out of pocket.

I’ve been going to this place for the last 4 years. I never had a problem and would always ordered and received my daughters glasses on time. This year I guess they increased their prices after the pandemic, which it’s understandable however, they were charging me about $700 for my 9 and 10 years old daughter’s glasses(no name brand). I was stunned and though it was too much, specially for a kid that would lose or break them. I hesitated, but since my daughters needed their glasses, specially now that they are taking online classes, I decided to pay for it. That was Friday night.I went home spoke to my friends about it and that’s where I found out about EYEBUYDIRECT. As long as I had the prescription, I could’ve order the glasses with the UV protection, progressive Lenses, anti-scratches and the whole deal with less than $100.I went Saturday morning to cancel my order and this is when the situation became a problem.1st they said they didn’t have the results in hand so I had to wait until Monday to get them,2nd they didn’t know if they could cancel my order as they had already placed it the night before,3rd that they may have a cancellation fee.I said I understand, I will leave you my email so you can send me the results on Monday, once you can get them. No emails. I Called and provided my email address once again on Monday morning and by 4pm still no email, so I decided to just go and pick it up my self. They gave me the results, by 4:30 I was ordering the glasses, I wanted to know the measurements of my daughters face and since they had that information I called them and again giving me the run around, bottom line they said that It was shredded and they couldn’t provide me that information. I guess they were upset that I refused to pay almost $700 for kids glasses and decided to just not giving me the information I needed to order them online.This is the last visit of my daughters to this place.

Had every intention of booking an appointment so I paid the store a visit. Glad I stopped by the woman behind the counter was rude. I will not make an appointment after the rudeness I experienced.

The office is clean with new equipment. First contact with front desk staff was pleasant. The young lady that conducted the preliminary exam, ie pressure test, was excellent. Dr. Cohen was amazing...HOWEVER, when it was time to pick out glasses, the woman who assisted me was RUDE!.... I wanted to be clear, as to what my options were in obtaining frames that are covered by my insurance and that I like. Her explanation was not clear. To clarify, I asked a few questions, nicely and her response was I DONT HAVE THE TIME TO EXPLAIN ALL OF YOUR SCENARIOS.....I got a copy of my RX and I will never go there again.Thank you lady for your impatience and lack of customer service! You represented OIC poorly.

I went in and ordered my glasses on September 7th. I was told it would take a little longer than normal and was told to allow 2 weeks. Here it is October 16th and still NO GLASSES. The staff is kind and even called the lab to check on my glasses, but could not get through to them. I called today and was told that I was misinformed, that VSP labs were taking 3 weeks to a month. The gentleman I spoke with today is going to call the lab, again, to find out what is taking so long. I am so frustrated.

We had a great experience with this optical shop today. The doctor was very thorough, the front desk staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and we were happy with the selection of eyeglass frames. This was our first exam visit, and we will definitely be back!

The front desk staff was very nice. The technician that did the testing made sure to wipe all the equipment before it was given to me to use. The Doctor was great. He has a very professional and calming manner. He listened to all my concerns without trying to rush me out of the office.

I used to be a customer of this place; although the place is clean, it’s unorganized and getting a pair of glasses can take a month or longer. My most recent experience was when my family and I utilized them for new glasses and a month later we couldn’t even get them. And when we inquired, what we got was rude, loud, disgusting behaviors that’s enough to never use these people again. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Don’t bother!!

Great customer service. The entire staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I went for an eye exam and to order glasses and contacts. They reviewed my plan and ran thru my options to make sure I got the most that I could. They even provided me with a few frame options while I was searching for glasses. And I ended up buying one of the styles they suggested that I would have never tried but ended up loving. They have a good selection of frames and allow you the time and space to try them on without making you feel like theres any pressure while still being attentive. I highly recommend trying OIC Optical.

My family and I have used Peekskill Eyecare for the past several years and have never been disappointed. The eye exams are very thorough, including hi-resolution scans and pressure tests. They have an excellent selection of frames and also have contact lenses and sunglasses.The staff are helpful and friendly and the wait times are minimal. The doctor is an Optometrist, which gives me the peace of mind that my family is getting the best care possible. I highly recommend Peekskill Eyecare.

I called twice to make an appointment with provider. The first time they were rude and werent helpful to make an appointment. I decided to give them a call a second time, in case it was just a bad day for them but no the same issue. They want to force a medical diagnose on you even before you even show up. I mentioned this to others I know and was told that I was lucky i didnt end up going there since their service is horrible. I can even figure this out from two phone calls.

The doctor was very thorough and answered all my questions. The place was easy to get to, clean and I felt all the equipment was very current/ up-to-date.

Every time I walk into OIC optical Im never dissatisfied. Everyone in there is so helpful, lively, and nice. The doctor is very nice and answers all my questions. I feel the doctor and staff really care about my vision and my well being. Anytime I need my glasses cleaned, adjusted, or repaired, theyre sure to help. Theyre also great with providing trial contacts that I can wear, until my order comes in. I love these guys. Im glad to be a patient at OIC optical where I can be spoiled. Thanks for being great!!

Everybody there is wonderful. Plus my son broke his glasses beyond repair and they were able to make him a new pair right on the spot which is great since he goes to college all the way up in Fredonia New York and is leaving Saturday morning. He was having a real hard time at College without his glasses and now he has a new pair. Thank you very much

Very friendly and informative staff. Unfortunately I cant make it during weekdays and when getting my contacts for the first time I was unable to schedule an appointment to show me how to put them in on Saturdays. Not a big deal though. I am going to take time off from work on a weekday.

At the Millbrook office, all the staff and Dr. Brandon were wonderful. The new technician who does the blocked. testing, Sara, was very sweet and put me at ease. I had a lot of anxiety about an eye problem I was having with not seeing well, and I had gotten glasses at another place in Florida. They took their time and were very patient with me, found the issue and then Debbie helped me find a beautiful pair of eyeglasses! I would definitely recommend

The eye exam was fine, very professional and they have the latest technology to examine the eyes. Afterwards, however, I had to wait over 25 minutes to order a new pair of glasses. The only person who was doing orders was helping someone else and no one seemed to care that I was hanging around. I picked out my own frame without assistance. When the other patient was finally done, the staff person took a man who had just walked in. I complained and finally they asked another person to help me and also to help another woman who had come in while I was waiting. The last time I went there, I had to wait a half hour for my appointment because someone crossed my name off the list. They need a better office manager or the staff needs training in customer service.

My niece Sumerose went and she was very happy with the staff and her experience. I was Impressed with the Staff, Dr, and all the resources they offer. Well updated technology! :-) :-) :-)

I came to this store to pick out glasses as I was told they were an upstanding group. I was treated well while picking out frames and the worker who opened the case and showed me the glasses seemed pleasant. Today I was to call back to tell him I had decided on frames. He called me instead and asked me if I had stolen the keys to the glass case. ASKED IF I HAD STOLEN THEM. He had the audacity to ask me to look in my purse to make sure. Out of all the people in that store that day, he called me. I AM HORRIFIED. DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE.

They didnt make me wait and were friendly and efficient. They didnt try to make me buy glasses I didnt need. I would recommend them to anyone looking for an eye doctor.

Dr Peryea is great! Always prompt yet takes the time with each patient to ensure all questions are answered. They take care of all insurance claims and have a great slelction of eyeglasses in all price ranges. They never pressure you to add features!!!

Dr Peryea is 1 of the best Doctor I have come across in a longtime. I have Glaucoma thus under his treatment. He is very patient in explaining results, diagnosis in terms I can understand. Stays on top of his patients needs and concerns for example never have to call him or the office for a refill request. Appointments are always available. Wait times are minimal. Doctor Peryea is very experienced and knowledgeable and does not seek out the expensive treatments right away without exhausting non-invaisive and less expensive treatments first. Best part is all the staff is very professional. Over all 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

My recent experience with Millbrook Eyecare has prompted me to share.I have suffered what I believedUncorrectable poor vision...For years...A lot of years I have suffered with it.Accepting my prescription Brought the best vision possible .Next I began experiencing eye dischargeI suffered Daily and throughout the day.My past Dr. Repeatedly dismissed my concern.Seeking a second opinion I went to Millbrook.Well.......Theres a new Dr in Town.Dr Peryea diagnosed my concerns and had a treatment plan before I had told her my concerns .....Literally.Next she altered my 15 year prescriptionTo one that allowed me to see.I left a little stunned .Anyone who suffers from poor vision knows how life altering ones sight is.I am very fortunate to have stumbled into Millbrook.L Pardee

I been going to oic for years before they expanded never had an issue this time I bought glasses and special lens some of it was refunded in excess but no one called me to tell that they refunded to much so I had a bill when I came in and I flipped out the lady made a mistake on 2 accounts and now one cared I wont be going there again after 6 years

I came here after having another bad experience at another eyeglass place in Jefferson Valley. Most of the staff were unfriendly and not helpful, a little bossy and less than professional. I received my eye exam and although the doctor was thorough and helpful, I found out after the fact that my rx was actually incorrect in my left eye. Long story short, after not getting a helpful opinion about choosing glasses (they just kept saying they were nice but I wanted to hear professional what size/style looked best/fit best) I decided to go across the river to Plaza Optical in Monroe. I asked OIC to fax over my rx so I could get my lenses at the other place, and after 4 phone calls, an hour and a half of waiting after being promised they were doing it in 5 minutes, and the owner of Plaza calling and being hung up on, they sent it over. While I had been waiting, I had asked for a second opinion eye exam, where they said that my left was actually inaccurate to the rx sent over. SO frustrating after all that time of waiting and calling. I will never go back here again, but I will be going back to Plaza Optical….OIC could learn a lot from them.
