Food was great. The breakfast potatoes needed a bit more salt but other than that, I had a wonderful experience. Definitely will be going back.
Worst BLT EVER. It had been a long time since I’d had one & I was SO looking forward to devouring it. I had ordered over the phone, arrived 10 mins later, picked it up and drove to a pretty spot to eat. When I opened the food, I just stared at the BLT. The bread was barely toasted, there was no mayonnaise, & no salt or pepper in the bag. They did include ketchup for the soggy french fries (which I’d told them I didn’t want). The cole slaw was some chopped cabbage with barely a drop of dressing on it. The ONLY good thing (and the only thing that I ate) was a delicious half of a pickle. And when I called them back 10 minutes later to complain, nobody picked up the phone. Hence, this public review.
I had a nice salad. A taco salad basically. I believe it came with chicken?? Or, perhaps I added it. Tasty. Plenty to eat. Enjoyed it.
Two weeks ago I went there for lunch I ordered a Panini they sent out a club sandwich possibly warmed up in the microwave French fries were nice and golden brown The workers are great very friendly so I waited a week and a half and we went there again this time I got a New York steak I asked for well done when I received my steak it was cook on the outside bloody inside my mashed potatoes were soaked in steak blood I kindly asked them to please re-cook it so that it’s well done The server was very nice he apologized and took it right back when I came back out it was a different steak with tons of fat all through the steak which for paying $25 for your meal I thought it be a little better I wish I had some pictures because I wouldn’t believe that somebody told me it was just disappointment I didn’t eat it and by this time I was just done I didn’t want anything else The server took it away what a shame that diner has gone downhill since they sold it also a lot of places aren’t required to wear mask but I think the workers should since they’re dealing with peoples food
I have passed this diner a few times without stopping before. Very pleasant place to stop for a quick bite.
Asked for 3 eggs and got 2, asked for my home fries to be well done and they werent, my toast was soggy and they changed breakfast sausages which was like eating a disgusting salami chub. At least the coffee was good. I wont be returning. Staff was polite and courteous though.
Basic diner with solid but not huge menu. Had the french toast (squishy eggy bread style - not my fave type but tasted ok) with bacon eggs and sausage. Thought the sausage was particularly good, and the eggs came over-medium as requested. My dad had a burger and chef salad- the meat and cheese on the salad came in an impressive roll on top, but unfortunately the lettuce was all iceberg. He liked it though. Brewed unsweetened iced tea was delicious- always a plus in my book. Recommended for when you just want diner food.
Food was fine. Nothing spectacular. Staff was very friendly, but my food arrived cold, despite that the restaurant was not very crowded.
The food was great and the service was as fast. The chocolate chip pancakes were delicious!
Decent food. Extremely lacking atmosphere. Long wait times too. Not bad, but can easily do better with a splash of extra effort. I wish them the best of luck.

Good spot for meeting up with friends, or to grab a quick bite with family or alone. The food is ok,y daughter love the wings. They seem to need additional servers/waitstaff. Wish they were open later.
The food was great but the portions were a bit small. The service was great and the only waitress working was SUPERB, I wish Id gotten her name! She was attentive and very nice to everyone in the diner. Ill definitely go back when I return to Bear Mountain.

They dont actually listen when you order a well done burger & crispy fries. Burger was well done & the fries were overdone.

We have been coming here roughly once a week for the last 2.5 years. Excellent fast and friendly service and good food for the price. The only problem is I end up eating too much!
I really really wanted to like this place. Unfortunately, my friends and I, did not. The food was unseasoned, and everything we got was either over or undercooked. We each left nauseous, and with our plates nearly untouched. The wait staff was fine, but the cooking was not something that I could tolerate. Maybe only come here if you are a chainsmoker that has lost your sense of taste.

Stopped in here for some quick breakfast. The service was pleasant And the food was good. Atmosphere was diner style. And the bathrooms were very clean. Overall I think it was a good value and good food. If youre in the area stop by and get breakfast.

The food will literally make you wish you were dead. The wait staff were kind, but the food left me and my friends feeling nauseous. The eggs tasted like bread soaked in water. Only come here if you’re on a liquid diet. The water was nice and cold!

Breakfast here is available all day; the Westchester Breakfast was of particular note, with large sausage links and a slice of watermelon! The avacado was fresh, perfectly ripened, and delicious.The staff were attentive, friendly, and quick to serve; it took me longer to eat than it did for them to conduct a full meal service.Al although my visit was completely coincidental, as I was heading home to Maryland, I would highly suggest that if youre in the area to stop by the Westchester diner for your meal of choice!

My Baked Ziti seemed to be made by someone who doesn’t know what baked ziti is.Simply no excuse for any diner to serve baked ziti that was so terrible.Matzo ball soup was okay— cute huge round ball.

Stopped here to have lunch after a hike. I think everyone at my table had burgers and they were delicious. Fries were awesoeme. Not sure if they are able to maintain the quality when busy but I had a very good experience.

Their prices are out of bounds...no air conditioning..service was slow with only 4 people in the whole place...just awful..I have gone to this diner for many years..whoever bought it must think its something special..It isnt.
A diner is a diner is a diner. You can fill up your stomach before hiking the Hudson valley. Nothing special, same northeast diner menu. Breakfast all day. Definitely a good for packing some energy before the hike.

I ordered corned beef reuben. Food was flavourful but meat was overcooked and over taken by the cheese and kruat. Service was good, polite staff and Id say some efficient service. I would go again

We’ve been coming here for years. Food is solid, breakfast is always quite good, and where they really shine is service- they train the servers very well or make great hires because we’ve always been impressed with their hustle, attention to detail, and overall courtesy.

Ordered a chicken Pinni sandwich got a hero instead was not told they were out of Pinni bread. The waitress assumed it was o.k. to serve it. Took two bites chicken was dry bread was hard. When I spoke to the manager he apologized but didnt take anything off the bill. Like the cost of a soda.

Ordered Disco fries from them to be delivered. Opened up the food and it was just cheese fries that were missing the gravy. Called the place and they said they could give me extra gravy the next time i went. Refused to send me what i ordered and refused to pass me to a manager. Terrible service.
I ordered a spinach and feta omlet and asked for it to be done well. It has raw eggs pieces inside. This happened to me twice other than that Ive eaten there for the past 15 yrs. New management but food is still good, other than my experience. It is good

I love the Westchester Diner, this place is awesome. The service is fantastic. Everything is fresh and cooked to order. Everyone always has a smile on their face after their meal here. On Fridays and Saturdays the diner is 24 hours, its nice having the option to come and get a juicy burger at 3 am on the weekends. 100 out 10 would recommend to a friend.
Horrible experience tonight. After a long two straight through days of work I just wanted a quick meal before I went home to bed. Left hungry and extremely frustrated.The host behind the counter told me to pick a seat anywhere, so I did.Restaurant was not busy, waiters were having conversations while facing me. The 4 waiters working served the other 5 tables but the waitress serving my section didnt once even acknowledge me but served the other table in my section no problem.Proceeded to wait a half hour before I decided to pack my stuff up and walk up to the new host (by this time the original hosts shift ended) just to inform him that Ive been waiting for a half hour and havent gotten any service. His response was a jokingly no way...get out of here, as he turned his back to me to file a receipt. Told him to have a good night and walked out the door.Menu is adequate, nothing special. But being the only game in town, the choices for diners are limited here. Regrettably, I wont be coming back after this experience...Ill find another diner on my way home from work. This place isnt that good to overlook this experience.

Glad it is back open. The food was just as good as I remembered. The wait staff were great. It was just super packed and that is the only reason it is not getting 5 stars. The back of the dinner was closed at the time and everything felt congested. Once they get back up to 100 percent this will once again be a place to go grab some comfort food and have a laugh with friends.
Took forever to order..forever to get our food. Waitress didnt bring correct drinks.... Didnt bring fruit salad I ordered...and the food after all that time was less then mediocre.

My wife an grandkids. First time for us. Kids love this dinner.I am a coffee drinker, this is best coffee I have had in a long time. The staff on duty were outstanding.. food the clean dinner is what 5 stars are about.
Good place for a quick meal with friends and family. I did notice they Re closing a bit earlier than they used to. Friendly service, good safe spot in a convenient location to thise passing by 9.

I went here alone after during work training in the morning. The place was empty. They sat me in the booth in the back. They were doing renovations while I was there. There was some banging and drilling going on for my breakfast.I get a coffee and a Westchester Breakfast with my eggs over medium.The food came out extremely fast. I am assuming because of the lack of customers. Food was good. The thing that bugged me the most was the waitress came to me an excessive amount of times while I was eating. Asked me if I was okay 6 times as I have food shoved in my mouth. I felt as I was being rushed but I guess that is what you have to do at a diner. As soon I asked for the check she no longer came around.I left a good tip and finished my coffee. I will return as it is a close place to eat near my new job.
I went there with my friends at night the host was great she was super friendly but the waiter was extremely rude. He seemed liked he didnt want us to be there and rushed over to get us out of there. The waiter was was unprofessional and no friendly and very rude. My experience there was terrible.

Ordered take out breakfast over the phone only about a minute before arrival. Walked in and was immediately greeted and able to pay for my order. Super friendly staff, offered me to have a seat and offered me water while I waited (which was only a few minutes). Brought me my food and made sure it was right. Will be back when I visit the area next time and ready to try the rest of their menu as well.
The diner was good, the price for the food was about average with other diners in the area. The service was good as well...I took my Step Dad there for his birthday, and when the waiters came with a slice of cake, and sang Happy Birthday, he was happy ;-)
Clean and good service. Prices to high for 2 eggs, bacon and HF. I can buy 36 eggs for $ 2.50.
Nice place to hangout, our waiter (I think his name was Edgar) was super accommodating, even offering separate checks for our fairly large group. We appreciated that very much.But then the manager, who didnt seem to like that, started to berate him in front of all of the customers.We spoke up and told him how much we appreciated the fact that he gave us all separate checks, and the manager seemed to calm down a bit and understand the great service that our waiter performed for us.
A little expensive but it is good food
Very fast service and good, solid breakfast. The sausage is a solid link, not your run if the mill freezer breakfast sausage. The potatoes actually have flavor, though if youre looking for chunky home fries know that these are sliced.
