While the ice cream is some of the best around, the customer service is deplorable. I have tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt on three separate occasions, and each time my family and I have been very disappointed. There is an older lady that works the register. I dont know if she is the owner, or the store manager but she has always been extremely rude. Each time while we are deciding our order, we are greeted with attitude and eye-rolls in addition to the ice cream. My wife and I are private business owners ourselves, and while everyone has a bad day from time to time, customer service is and should always be a top priority. Its a shame because the ice cream really is wonderful. But we will be taking our business to Blue Pig, another place with top-notch customer service as well as ice cream.
The owner is the rudest women I’ve ever seen run an establishment. Does not greet her guests and talks down to her staff in front of customers. Would have had a great experience if it was not for encountering the owner of all people.
Stopped by after hiking farther north, location was very convenient from the highway. Creative sundae choices and good ice cream.
The software serve ice cream was fine and so was the cone. I ordered the medium which is almost $6 and I couldnt actually tell the difference between it and a cone from McDonalds

Extremely unhygienic. Workers wear the same gloves to do everything- serving, cleaning, money exchange, fix their masks and clothing. Instead of changing gloves, they use hand sanitizer on the gloves. Completely disgusting.

Super cute ice cream shop in Peekskill, my kids loved it. Very nice service, clean space and set up hygenically for during COVID. An area to eat outside if your in need of one and nice little waterfront park down by that part of peekskill.

Kahlua explosion was pretty amazing. Killer Chocolate was awesome! Apple pie spice average. Nice shop. Can grab a scoop and go right by the park. Nice awesome vibes and very good social distancing protocols. If your in the area its worth a stop.
Good ice cream, curtious service, prices a tad high, $7+ for a 2 scoop waffle cone. For the sake of supporting a local merchant Id go again, but Id have to be desparate for ice cream.
They put so much care into making my sundae! Husband has a nut allergy and they were very careful to wash and not contaminate
After hiking the Blue Mountain Reserve, I rewarded myself with ice cream. They take orders outside and will call your name when its ready. They block an area of the street with cement dividers where you can wait for your order. You can eat there as well or walk 3 mins to the river. I got their seasonal flavor, apple spice (I think) and coffee. It was delicious!
Amazing place!Peekskill is a great getaway from hectic NYC. Easily accesible by MetroNorth. Hudson Creamery was an outstanding experience, with a good chart of flavors and mixes! Totally recommended for ice cream lovers with high standards.Two recommendations: lavender flavor ice cream 🍦, which actually is a very surprising experience for your senses, and, the pretzel 🥨 sundae with pecans ! Don’t miss it !

I used to love going to the Hudson creamery, until last night. Last night, I ordered a shake thinking it would be about $5 it was $8. The shake was not that big and tasted like I was drinking straight cream, after one sip I had to throw it out. I was so disappointed.

Ive been here a couple of times already and the place is ALWAYS PACKED, which in some type of way means that is a good spot.They have an infinite menu, infinite sundaes, and infinite flavors, very special ones... love the variety and how different it is from other places.I wanted something big but also wanted a cone, cause they are soooooo good!!! I was trying to decide whether i should get a sundae or a regular cone so I ended up getting a Large cone. I chose my regular lovely cookies and cream, which is creamy and full of cookies. Also decided to try something new and different, and chose Strawberry Balsamic. I have to say, i was afraid i had chosen something I wouldnt like but it was DELICIOUS!!!You could taste the bitterness of the balsamic but the sweetness of the strawberries, i was amazed by this mixture and tasteful flavor.My favorite thing about this place is the view, if you choose to walk to the park you will have one of the most amazing sunsets ever.PS: the large cone includes three ice cream scoops but they are so big that if you dont eat it fast enough it will break on you. Mine broke but thankfully i was able to catch it and smart enough to put it back where it belonged. The creaminess of the ice cream made it stick together for me to finish it without making a big mess other than completely sticky hands.Made me feel like a kid, LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!!
Worst experience ever!! The lady at the front who took our order was extremely rude and mean. My six year old said mommy a few times to get my attention, so that she can ask for sprinkles for the ice cream she had already ordered, but the lady taking our order didn’t like it, so she started yelling at my daughter and asking her to “be quiet”. I was so shocked and did not even know how to respond, but she obviously had some anger issues because a girl passed by on the side walk who had her mask pulled down and she began yelling at her to put her mask on while I was standing there. She then proceeded to almost touch me as she was speaking to me. I was appalled at this women’s behavior. It is absolutely unacceptable. While a place you eat at maybe good, the most important part of a business is the respect and friendliness of the workers because they are the face of the business and when you are not welcomed or respected, it is not a place you want to go back to. My daughter just asked to please not go there anymore because of the fear of seeing this woman again.
The atmosphere of this creamery is so delightful. Everyone is friendly and theyve done such a good job with Covid protocols.
Ice cream is always delicious, and the location is perfect!! They did away with their baby cones which stinks for us parents who have toddlers. My daughter never eats her entire adult serving of ice cream, and their old baby cones were the perfect size. Bring them back, please!

Great ice cream with an abundance of flavors and toppings. Has a small area with seats in it, but eating while walking outside is an option if the weather permits it. Be sure to bring money for the metered parking on the street next to it, or to leave extra time to walk/find nearby parking.
The Janes ice cream was some of the best Ive had. The list of specialty sundaes looked amazing as well. Will likely go back to try one of those.

Good ice cream, love their options. Ice cream tastes fresh and the shop is quirky. Every time Ive been there the staff is underwhelming. Someone always seems like they are in a bad mood or are they are all held up with a single customer/group.
The ice cream was delicious, thus the 5 stars, HOWEVER....the manager, Diane, was incredibly rude to the staff while we were there. The store was very busy with numerous customers but Diane did not seem to care as she continuously kept raising her voice and chewing out the staff. Not only was this very inappropriate to do in front of customers, the staff was working very hard and doing a great job. She never once commended anything that they were doing, but just kept berating them.Everyone was very uncomfortable with her actions, so we pulled a few of the staff aside and commended them for their hard work...WE appreciated them! They even told us later how much it meant to them and thanked us for saying something. They also said that this was not just a bad day, but that this is the way Diane is all the time.So yes we would recommend this place for the ice cream and the friendly staff, but beware of the manager.

Great Ice Cream, lots of flavor varieties. The killer chocolate and salted caramel pretzel are my FAVORITES. They have insane gourmet milkshakes now too! And all their ice cream is homemade, this is definately not your cheap carvel ice cream. Quality shows in the taste. Right next to ther waterfront so you can get a cone and enjoy a walk.

I like that they sell local stuff here from other Hudson Valley establishments. I think this place is following the trend in Peekskill of trying to get by on close-to-Manhattan prices. Maybe it will work. There is a small outdoor section, but the street is very loud. They have a decent selection, but I wouldnt travel to this place when Moo Creamery is so close.
It made me run for my train but totally worth it! The specials are so unique... soft serve with fig balsamic and white fig sauce??? So yummy!!!
